Chapter 107 - Chapter 107: Barom

Soon, the last data stake was dealt with.

Seeing this, Bernice also let go of Hoshimi Aya.

"Um, Aya..."

"These were all Wright's ideas."

After speaking, Caesar and the others uniformly pointed at Wright.

Wright, who was just preparing to watch the show, pointed at himself in a daze.

There was a hint of disbelief in his eyes.

He remembered these were Lucy's ideas.

Caesar was the promoter of the plan; how did he end up taking the blame?

"What are you still standing there for?"

"Why aren't you going over to apologize?"

Saying this, Lucy gave Wright a push, while whispering in his ear, "We all put in effort just now, are you really going to do nothing?"

In the end, Wright chose to compromise.

"Aya, this was indeed my idea."

"I apologize. I'll treat you all when we get out."

"Consider it an apology."

Wright adjusted his sunglasses.

"Okay, okay!"

Bernice, standing nearby, nodded happily.

"Forget it, but don't let it happen again."

"Next time, I'll leave some for you."

"You don't need to worry about it."

Hoshimi Aya thought.

Suddenly, Ling received a notification from Fairy: the data stake they had just installed showed an anomaly; the data had disappeared.

"Caesar, Aya, the signal from the data stake we just installed is gone."

"We need to go back and check."

Ling reminded them.

"What?!"

"Then what are we waiting for?"

"Let's hurry back and look!"

"It would be bad if the Etherals destroyed it!"

Lucy was a bit surprised.

Logically, this shouldn't happen; this situation shouldn't require a re-check.

Normally, this only happened when they were installing it, attracting attention.

Soon, the group arrived at Data Stake No. 2, but the spot where the data stake should have been was empty.

"They shouldn't be able to move fast while carrying the data stake."

"We should still be able to catch up."

Ling took the lead and set off.

They had to take winding paths, passing through several spatial rifts, until they reached a dried-up swimming pool.

"They are over there!"

Lucy pointed at a crowd not far away; the data stake they had installed was in their hands.

However, as soon as the group approached, they were recognized.

But it was mainly Wright who was recognized.

"Everyone, stop right there!"

"I finally caught you, young lady!"

"You shameless thieves!"

Lucy shouted at the group preparing to flee.

"Hey, little girl, clean up your mouth. Who are you calling a thief?"

One of the more aggressive riders retorted.

"I'm talking about you! The data stake in your hands is what we personally installed earlier."

"This is the property of us, the Children of Kalidong!"

"Which Motorcycle Clan do you belong to? Aren't you ashamed of doing something like this?!"

Lucy accused the people from some unknown Motorcycle Clan in front of her.

"Hmph, who we are is none of your business."

"You say these things are yours? Do you have proof?"

The aggressive rider said indifferently, as they were already prepared.

"Of course, we do. These data stakes have invoices."

"We'll know once we compare the registered numbers."

Saying this, Lucy pulled out the purchase order.

The people opposite had already prepared and brought over the data stakes, but all the registered numbers on them had been erased.

"Ah! The numbers on the surface of the data stakes are all gone!"

Bernice looked at the spot on the data stake where a serial number should have been and gasped.

"Why waste words with them?"

"Just let me take care of all of them."

"They should expect the consequences for doing something like this."

Saying this, Hoshimi Aya prepared to draw her sword.

But Caesar stopped her.

"No, they are also members of the Motorcycle Clan."

"Most people in the Motorcycle Clan are just trying to make a living out of hardship."

"Once we understand the reason, beating them up is enough; it's not a capital offense."

Caesar explained.

Hoshimi Aya paused for a moment in thought, then nodded, returned to her original position, and watched how Lucy would handle it.

However, the other side clearly looked like they were deliberately causing trouble.

And she had some impression of this segment; it seemed like a gorilla plot.

But there was no one among this group who fit that description.

"Wright!"

Lucy looked back at Wright.

Upon seeing this, Wright walked forward.

"Everyone, although I don't know the reason..."

"What you're hoping for should be a duel, right?!"

Wright looked at the group in front of him and waited.

"Heh heh, after all, everyone here is from the Motorcycle Clan."

"This is the fair way to resolve a dispute."

Said a rather cunning-looking rider.

Finally, a Thiren that looked like a gorilla jumped out.

But Wright didn't remember who that person was.

"It's me, I'm Barom!"

Barom pointed at himself in disbelief. He couldn't believe Wright didn't remember him.

Wright thought for a long time but still couldn't recall who the person in front of him was.

However, this didn't affect the rhythm between the two.

The crowd cleared a space to allow Barom and Wright to duel.

After a duel lasting several minutes, Barom still lost to Wright.

Seeing this, the two chatted for a while. Barom returned the data stakes and left with his people.

Hoshimi Aya and the others reinstalled the data stakes. After finishing up, they left The Hollow.
