Chapter 9 - The Recurring Dream

The golden chalk became Alara's passport to the world. She didn't just stay in Seoul; she followed the tour like a shadow. One night she was in the humid heat of Bangkok, the next she was standing in the rain in Manila, and a week later, she was under the neon lights of Tokyo.

In every city, she stood in the same position—just far enough to be safe, but close enough for her eyes to catch the stage lights. She was the girl who never screamed, never pushed, and never took off her mask. She was a silent, Midnight Blue statue in a sea of chaotic fans.

On stage, Lucian (Lee-Su-ho) began to look for her. It became a subconscious ritual. During every opening song, his eyes would instinctively scan the left side of the VIP section or the dark corners of the standing area. And every time, he found them. Those large, non-Korean eyes, filled with a devotion that felt ancient.

He began to wonder if he was losing his mind. How could one girl be in every country, at every show, always dressed in the same mysterious elegance? He started calling her his "Midnight Aurora" in his head. She was a ghost that followed him across borders, a beautiful mystery that he couldn't grasp.

One evening in Jakarta, during a particularly emotional ballad, he walked to the edge of the stage and knelt down, singing directly toward the spot where she stood. Alara felt her breath hitch. She didn't move, but her eyes welled with tears. For a few seconds, the thousands of miles between her home and his world vanished.

He reached out a hand, almost touching the air between them, but the security barrier was too wide. As the lights dimmed for the next set, Alara vanished into the crowd. She was becoming more than a fan to him; she was becoming an obsession. He needed to know if she was real, or if the exhaustion of the tour was finally playing tricks on his mind.
