Galen opened the fourth and fifth portal, he's trying to see if Xander could get the signal from the laboratory.
He continued trying even when he failed. The experiments went on for ten months. From the first to the sixth month, he experienced lucid dreams and eventually had a flu. It wasn't a normal flu but a type he'd never seen before. He called it the space flu, simply because after his approach to identify and consult science on it. All theories failed.
He literally died during the start seventh month, he came back alive after a one month coma and into the eighth month he got use to the portals suddenly.
The ninth and tenth month gave him nothing but solemn frustrations all thanks to Solstice. Getting a human to conquer him wasn't on his list and so he enjoyed throwing hidden shade to the rest he felt were below him.
Galen was swollen mentally with frustration, he was so frustrated with the concept of laboratory failure, he eventually gave up for a moment. Aster noticed his body movements and thought it was best to test his skills, he took over on the experimental analysis till the eleventh month.
Surprisingly time flew too fast, it made them forget about their favorite semi-villain judge. Vexis. it was the appropriate time for Vexis to return from exile. Aster opened his eyes and saw a golden circle lay softly above him, Vexis needed access to them, "Aster!!!" Aster smiled a little, he opened the sixth portal.
Vexis walked through yhe portal surprised to see Mara with two children. He stood in shock, he smiled a bit as he walked slowly towards her.
Mara already gave birth during the ninth month, she gave birth to a set of twins. A boy and a girl. Galen decided it'll be better to stay at home hoping for the portals to open around Xander. Galen decided he'll leave the naming to the mother of the kids, Luna suggested the names, Lily and Luke.
Aster and Astrid sat by the corridor together, he held her hand and kissed it. "Astrid?" She stared at him silently. He smiled and held her face softly.
"Aster?" She muttered.
"Would you be my girlfriend? At least before your brother returns and spoils it all with his protective energy."
"Yes I will, I don't mind." He reached for his pocket, he revealed the promise ring he had within his reach. He opened the box, he put the ring on her finger. She smiled and hugged him, he kissed her still on that one kneel. Of course she wasn't sure of this one decision.
Their faces touched, they could barely breathe before they separated. Galen saw the whole scene, he smiled.
He felt like the peace of the family finally came back after the death of Elysium. After he burnt her body to ash and threw it into the river, he felt a major burden leave his body, spirit and his soul.
His mind drifted back to the present moment, he smiled at the children. He couldn't wait for Xander to meet his new siblings. He hoped Xander would be happy for the marriage and the kids, he never told him after all he wasn't there to be told.
Luna sent a text to Zephyr about the new kids. Zephyr drove straight to the house, he walked in wearing his sweater and a pair of black trousers. He removed his eyeglasses, he smiled at Galen, Galen smiled back.
"Congratulations Doctor Orion," Galen dropped his glass of wine and hugged him.
"Thank you Zephyr, it's a pleasure to have you around."
Just behind him, Galen sees a man standing. He looked a bit different, it was Vexis and after him was Void. His smile dropped instantly, he thought he was stuck in a coma. From a distance, Aster noticed him, his smile dropped too.
Aster watched cautiously from a distance, he stood at a reasonable pace. Thirdly he saw Doctor Marcus walk in with the other scientists, the room gets full quicker than they expected. Galen didn't think they'd care if he had a life or not.
The only reasonable aspect of Void's presence was the fact that he had a bouquet in his hands and a box of chocolate coated strawberries. "Congratulations Galen. I'm happy for you." What? Galen didn't believe it. They wanted a reconciliation.
The female scientists walked in and they looked happy, somehow Astrid felt uneasy. She walked closer to them, Luna held the kids closer to Mara. They looked like they were surrounded.
The scientists walked in without an invitation or a warning, Galen thought they came with a gun. After all, he betrayed only when they played him. Marcus Evergreen walked past them, he gave Galen a firm handshake. He had a letter in his hands. He opened it to read it.
Doctor Marcus Evergreen reads the paper before everyone. "Doctor Galen Orion, it is with great prestige and double honor that we congratulate you and your entire family on your new choices. We are here to show and offer our support, here we have a small contribution fine, a check from the firm."
With this speech, he gave the check to Galen. Galen felt like rejecting it, he felt like throwing it away. It felt like they saw him as a pauper or some church rat. He took it anyway, he felt like they already knew what he did. He didn't care but he just wondered if Aster betrayed him.
Void walked closer, he watched him. Void stretched the bouquet and the box of vanilla and chocolate coated strawberries forward. Galen stared at them, he didn't want to take them. He felt bitterness and anger towards Void.
Void said, "A gift for you twin brother."
Everyone turned to stare at them, Void was his twin? Who knew? What caused their separation anyway?
Astrid asked, "You are my dad's twin brother?"
"Yes, I'm his twin. I'm the first twin from the both of us, he's younger."
Luna didn't know how to react to this news, Mara as well. Galen never mentioned this to the family.
Galen replied, "Thank you, it's fine. I'm grateful."
Void smiled, "Can I get a hug?"
"No, of course not."
Void smiled, "Don't act like a baby, come here."
Galen finally agreed after much persuasion, they hugged. Mara held her shock to her chest simply because she knew she had an affair with Void once.
Later on that evening, Aster and Astrid moved upstairs to her room. Aster held her close to himself, "You should stop acting like you are good Aster, you brought the whole team here?"
"Not me, Zephyr did. I guess he found out about some hidden things. The camera footage can't lie."
Zephyr must have heard the conversation between him and Galen, if not then one of the siblings did. If they did then this is more than a normal reunion. It's actually the start of a new vengeance season.
