"Dad? Good morning, what's wrong? I'm surprised you are here this early. Did you see it too?"
Void exhaled and said, "Xander just blew it for everyone of us. He just had to blow it up. That's the last thing I wanted around Earth X. People think it's the least but it's actually the deadliest. For now I've given a command, at least to my own half of this lab. No one must start, partake or even use any energy like equipment until that thing is back at the other realms. I sent an email to everyone, they need to start taking precautionary measures at night. This isn't something to hide or ignore."
"Alright then, noted. But I've got a question, how do we send that creature back?"
"That'll be Luna's job or Xander's not yours. You just have to guard the lab and I'll try to handle what I can. In between that's not my personal reason for being here."
Zephyr paused and turned to him, "Why are you here?"
Void walked closer to him and asked, "Zephyr?"
"Yes?"
"Do you have a woman in your life?"
Zephyr replied, "No I don't. I'm a scientist."
"And that's your elaborate reason? Because?"
"Dad, I'm not in any competition with anybody. Okay. I just to be bury myself in the coats of the lab."
"You want to bury yourself in coats and not the tits of a woman? Are you gay?" Void asked calmly.
The sweat built up through Zephyr. "No I'm not okay and I think I've had enough questions."
"Anyway, get to work."
Void walked out to his office, Zephyr sat by his desk. He logged into his computer, he had no work to do besides taking a few glances through the laboratory's footage. He heard footsteps approach his office so he looked up to see who it was. It was Luna.
"Luna? You are here early too? What's wrong this time? Did you see it again? Come on, take a seat."
Luna walked closer to his desk and she sat, "Well, let's just say I need a job. I mean I really need a new job that I can attend to and don't worry about the kids, they'll get a nanny for them or Mara will take care of things for herself."
Zephyr could sense that she was worried and disturbed about something, so he asked. "Luna? Is that the only thing you are worried about? I feel there's something else you're not telling me. What do you need to reveal? Speak up. Who got you upset?"
Luna looked at him and looked down to her thighs, she sighed. "Zephyr I'm an alien."
Zephyr rolled his chair close to hers, "Excuse me? Alien? Is that the best defense you could come up with?"
She got slightly irritated, "I'm not joking okay? I'm not messing around. I'm serious this time. I noticed something happen to me after I sat under the moon, a vibration took place."
He could see the sincerity in her eyes and her voice, "Luna, if it's just that then why do you really need a job? Is there something you aim to escape?"
"Yeah, home. I need a new space. I need to get closer to my passion." She said.
He stood to his feet, "Luna? Let's move to the lab and we'll run some tests from you. I'll need to check your blood and overall body levels before we can finalize your powers."
She liked his suggestion, she nodded and she stood up. He switched his monitor off, and walked towards the lab. They reached the lab and a sudden shaking happened. Both of them fell to the ground.
Zephyr asked, "What was that? That earthquake? Luna, was that you?"
"No! Not me! There's something else!"
He asked, "You said the moon, right?"
She replied, "Yes, why?"
"The moon has some radical energy, maybe it got into you that night because the Behemoth flew through the portals."
The shaking stopped, they stood. Zephyr held the wall for support and so did Luna. They walked slowly after the brief nausea got erased from their systems. Luna climbed the bed and laid calmly, Zephyr fixed the equipment to her body.
He took her blood first then he proceeded to put her in the large transparent container. The steam popped out through holes in the machine.
He took his full attention to the machine's programs. He pressed a button and it pulled her out, she sat up and asked, "What happened? That was quick."
He said, "That's too simple actually, it came out as nothing. The machine can't read you or your blood sample, it's just there."
She jumped down from the bed, she stared at it. The screen showed a straight line like it would for a dead person. "Are you saying I'm dead?"
"No, not me but the machine's saying you are dead. I mean technically speaking, this shows that you are dead. Are you possessed? I noticed the same results for the people the astral chimera possessed."
Void walks in on them, and he's surprised to see Luna at the lab. He asked, "What are you doing here? Luna?"
"Good morning Doctor Void, I'm here to get a new job."
He looked at the way she was dressed, at least for the test. "As a stripper or what? A baker maybe?"
"Well… I… Wanted to sign up for the junior scientist role. Or become an intern before I become a junior scientist."
He folded his arms on his chest, "Then why are you here doing tests?"
She turned her face to Zephyr then back to Void. "I noticed something about the moon and me?"
"Hmm… Speaking of the moon and you. Vexis. He mentioned something about the courts wanting your presence. I guess the energy came from them. When will you visit the courts?"
"I don't know yet, I'll wait for Xander's command. Then I'll know, how's Vexis?"
"He's okay, newly out of exile or prison rather. I mean you know he resigned right?"
"Oh I never knew, why?"
Aurora walked in, she stopped the conversation. It's been a while since they've seen her.
She just walked out saying, "I'm sorry I interrupted." She picked up some files and she walked out.
Void replied, "Well let's just say even villains have someone they're afraid of." He kept his eyes on Aurora until she left. Yes he had feelings for her.
