In Avengers history, Heimdall once demonstrated his ability to summon the Bifrost even without the bridge itself. With immense effort, he sent the Hulk back to Earth to escape Thanos.
Now that same power was being used again.
Under Heimdall's full effort, a beam of Bifrost tore open the sky, carrying Odin and dozens of Asgard's warriors across the cosmos.
Earth.
Massachusetts.
The quiet countryside was suddenly pierced by a brilliant rainbow column that descended from the heavens and struck the fields with overwhelming energy.
Yun Chen looked up calmly.
"It seems visiting family tonight won't be very peaceful," he said lightly.
Carol Danvers had only just begun calming her emotions after returning to her hometown. Now she stared blankly at the sudden arrival.
Hum!
As the Bifrost light faded, dozens of figures appeared in the field.
They looked nothing like modern humans.
Golden armor gleamed under the moonlight. Ancient weapons rested in their hands. Every soldier radiated powerful energy fluctuations, and the blades they carried were etched with glowing runes.
They looked less like soldiers…
And more like warriors from ancient myth.
For a moment, Carol almost felt as if she were witnessing a scene straight from a legend.
Yun Chen raised an eyebrow.
He immediately recognized them.
"Interesting," he said with a faint smile. "Norse mythology has existed on Earth for thousands of years. Looks like you Asgardians really are living fossils."
The soldiers tensed.
Standing at the front of the group was an elderly man.
His hair was completely white.
Yet despite his age, the man's posture was perfectly straight, like a sword planted firmly in the ground. His golden armor shone brightly, and his single eye carried the weight of endless years.
The All-Father.
Odin.
Two black ravens perched upon his shoulders before suddenly taking flight and circling above the battlefield.
Odin looked at Yun Chen calmly.
"So you know the legends of Norse mythology," he said slowly. "Then you should also understand something about the gods of Olympus."
"Of course," Yun Chen replied.
He crossed his arms casually.
"But time hasn't been kind to them. The twelve Olympian gods disappeared long ago. The few remaining ones might still exist somewhere, but they're shadows of their former selves."
He shrugged slightly.
"In other words… Earth's gods are mostly dead."
Odin nodded faintly.
"That is correct."
He paused before continuing.
"And yet the gods of Asgard still stand strong."
His tone was calm, but the pride in his voice was unmistakable.
The warriors behind him straightened proudly.
"We Asgardians were born powerful," Odin continued. "Our strength rivals the ancient gods themselves."
He lifted his spear slightly.
"And we do not forget our grudges."
The atmosphere shifted instantly.
The soldiers behind Odin glared at Yun Chen with obvious hostility.
But Yun Chen merely smiled.
"That sounds impressive," he said casually. "But lifting a stone too high can make you drop it on your own foot."
Several Asgardians immediately bristled.
Odin ignored them.
Instead, his gaze sharpened.
"You captured the dwarven realm of Nidavellir."
"Yes," Yun Chen answered calmly.
"The Kree Empire was attacking them. I cleared the Kree forces and took control of the place. If your people arrived late, that's hardly my fault."
"Kree…" one Asgardian muttered.
Another growled angrily.
"You dare justify your crimes!"
"That realm belongs to Asgard!"
A warrior stepped forward, ready to attack.
But Odin suddenly extended Gungnir.
The spear blocked the warrior's path instantly.
The soldier froze and reluctantly stepped back.
Odin stared at Yun Chen.
"So you admit it," he said coldly.
"Crime?" Yun Chen laughed softly.
"That's a word used by the weak."
The air around Odin began to tremble.
"You also stole Stormbreaker," Odin said, his voice growing heavier. "A weapon forged from the same mold as Mjolnir. It belongs to the gods."
"Stole it?" Yun Chen shrugged.
"Wrong word."
He smiled slightly.
"It's called a trophy."
The moment he finished speaking, Odin's anger exploded.
A violent wind spread outward from the All-Father.
Grass across the field bent under the pressure of his divine aura.
"You dare call it a trophy?" Odin said, his voice rising.
Yun Chen stepped forward.
He had already removed his Kryptonian suit earlier and now stood in nothing more than a simple white shirt.
Yet despite the overwhelming pressure of Odin's divine power, he remained completely unmoved.
Like a cliff standing against a storm.
From beginning to end, one person had remained strangely unnoticed.
Carol.
With her blonde hair and delicate appearance, she looked completely out of place among the gods and warriors. She resembled a Hollywood actress far more than a cosmic powerhouse.
None of the Asgardians had taken her seriously.
Their attention remained fixed entirely on Yun Chen.
Odin's aura continued rising.
"Where is the weapon?" he demanded.
"The Stormbreaker axe cannot possibly belong to you."
Yun Chen chuckled.
"I told you already. I don't like using weapons."
That statement was true.
Since copying the Bifrost ability through the Oracle system, Yun Chen had barely touched the axe again.
In fact, he had already left the weapon at the lunar base, where Kryptonian engineers occasionally used it to cut through rock formations.
Still…
If Odin wanted to see it.
That could easily be arranged.
Yun Chen looked up toward the sky.
"Since you're so eager," he said casually.
He raised one hand.
Then he spoke calmly.
"Stormbreaker."
Or maybe…
He tilted his head slightly.
"Should I just say… 'axe'?"
