Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 The Dragon Clan Visitor

Chapter 15 The Dragon Visitor

Before the Lich Era, the primordial world lacked the later concepts of spiritual artifacts and immortal artifacts; instead, it was divided into magic treasures, spiritual treasures, and supreme treasures.

Magic treasures were graded based on the divine restrictions they contained: 1-9 divine restrictions for magic treasures; 10-18 for low-grade spiritual treasures; 19-27 for mid-grade spiritual treasures; 28-36 for high-grade spiritual treasures; 37-45 for top-grade spiritual treasures; and 46-49 for supreme treasures.

Magic treasures born innately were named "Innate," while those crafted later were called "Later-grade." Innate treasures contained an innate, indestructible spiritual light, possessing the characteristic of immortality and indestructibility; even if destroyed, they could regenerate on their own. Later-grade treasures

lacked this characteristic. Moreover, the power of innate treasures far surpassed that of later-grade treasures, with only a few exceptions. The

merit-based spiritual light in Feng Zichen's hand was a high-grade later-grade merit-based spiritual treasure. Because it was forged from merit, it was stronger than other acquired spiritual treasures of the same level, but slightly weaker than innate spiritual treasures.

Moreover, merit spiritual treasures were protected by the Heavenly Dao and possessed various wondrous abilities, such as being immune to karma from killing, suppressing one's own fortune, maintaining a clear mind, and blocking the invasion of external demons; as long as the merit was lost, the spiritual treasure would not perish.

Having withdrawn the light of merit, Feng Zichen continued his seclusion, preparing to create a divination technique to facilitate his future actions.

However, just as he had a clue, he sensed two vast auras approaching. One was as blazing as the sun, carrying the meaning of the inheritance of a torch—it was Suirenshi. The other was vast and boundless, like the convergence of a hundred rivers, accompanied by a mighty dragon's might—it should be the Dragon Lord of the Dragon Clan. Sensing

Suirenshi's arrival, Feng Zichen quickly ended his seclusion and went to greet him.

"Zichen, this is the Water Dragon Lord of the Dragon Clan, here to escort Ao Xue back to the Dragon Palace,"

Suirenshi said with a smile, accompanying a young man dressed in black as he approached Feng Zichen.

In the primordial world, Taiyi Golden Immortals were called Dao Lords, Daluo Golden Immortals were called Dao Venerables, and Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortals were called Dao Masters. The Dragon Lord was a Dao Lord, which was also a Taiyi Golden Immortal.

Ao Xue's status in the Dragon Clan was indeed noble; the Dragon Clan had actually sent a Taiyi Golden Immortal to receive her.

Thinking this, Feng Zichen stepped forward and said, "Greetings, Water Dragon Lord!"

Feng Zichen possessed extremely profound merit, and the Water Dragon Lord dared not accept his greeting; wouldn't that diminish his blessings? He quickly stepped aside and returned the greeting, "I dare not, I dare not, fellow Daoist, you are too kind."

The Water Dragon Lord appeared calm, but inwardly, a raging storm was brewing. What was the situation with the human race? He had only been in the human race for a short time, yet he had already seen four individuals of profound merit. Wasn't the human race less than ten thousand years old? Where did so many meritorious immortals come from?

Suirenshi drilled wood to make fire, igniting the flame of human civilization; Ziyishi invented clothing, making people aware of shame; Youchaoshi built nests to live in, protecting people from the suffering of wind and cold.

These achievements are all imprinted on the destiny of humanity, connected to it. As long as humanity exists, these merits will never cease. As humanity grows stronger, the merits of these three individuals will also increase.

In the primordial world, merits are hard to obtain; only those who have performed great deeds for heaven and earth can receive them.

Humans are different. As beings born later, they suffer from birth, aging, sickness, and death, and the hardships of hunger and cold. To survive, humans create various tools to aid their lives. Some of these tools align with the workings of the heavenly way, and the heavenly way bestows merit upon them.

It's not that humans are smarter than innate beings, but rather that innate beings are born great and have no such need.

For example, if an innate being needed fire, a simple incantation would conjure a raging fire; there's no need for the cumbersome process of drilling wood to make fire, and therefore, no merit would be gained.     Therefore, the Water Dragon Lord was shocked to see that the three members of the Suiren clan had accumulated so much merit.

"Is the Water Dragon Lord here to find Ao Xue? She's currently in the Great Luo Dao Domain; I wonder how she is?" More than a hundred years have passed, and there's been no movement from the Great Luo Dao Domain. Even knowing Ao Xue is safe, Feng Zichen is still worried.

"What? The Great Luo Dao Domain? The princess is in the Great Luo Dao Domain!" The Water Dragon Lord's voice rose, and he said urgently, "Take me there quickly!"

That day, Nuwa set up a barrier in the human territory to protect the human race, and this commotion naturally alerted the nearby dragon race.

The dragon race was about to send dragons to the human race to investigate their situation when they suddenly discovered that the Dragon Emperor's third princess was missing. This terrified the dragons, who no longer cared about the human race and immediately dispatched their dragons to search for the princess.

At that time, the Four Seas Eyes were in turmoil, with countless ferocious beasts wreaking havoc on the surrounding waters. The Dragon Emperor, Dragon Queen, and all the Great Luo Golden Immortals of the Dragon Clan went to the Four Seas to suppress the Eyes and slay the beasts. The top experts of the Dragon Clan were not with them.

Before leaving, the Dragon Emperor and Dragon Queen specifically instructed the dragons to take good care of the young Third Princess. Unexpectedly, the Third Princess disappeared shortly after the Dragon Emperor's departure, causing them great anxiety.

They searched the Dragon Palace thoroughly and discovered that the Third Princess had left through a demonic array. However, the demonic cultivators had set up the array for escape purposes, destroying it after use. Therefore, they could not pinpoint the Third Princess's location through the array.

Ao Xue, as the Dragon Emperor's youngest daughter, naturally possessed various rare treasures, including items that shielded her from celestial secrets. These were originally meant to protect her, but now they became an obstacle to finding her.

The vast East Sea was boundless, and even with the numerous experts of the Dragon Clan, they could not find Ao Xue's whereabouts for a time.

Finally, it was an old tortoise at the Taiyi Golden Immortal level who intervened, sacrificing tens of thousands of years of cultivation to activate a primordial spiritual treasure passed down in his clan. He deduced that the Third Princess was not only safe but would also receive a great opportunity, finally putting the dragons at ease.

However, even with their relief, the dragons still needed to search. Otherwise, what would they say when the Dragon Emperor and Dragon Queen returned and asked where the Third Princess was? That the Third Princess had received a great opportunity and they didn't know her whereabouts? The Dragon Emperor would skin them alive!

When the human envoy arrived at the Dragon Palace and informed them of Ao Xue's situation, the Dragon Palace immediately dispatched three Dragon Lords, bringing numerous treasures as gifts, to the human realm to retrieve Ao Xue.

Upon arriving in the human realm, the three Dragon Lords learned that Ao Xue was in the ruins of the Three Races Battlefield. Without resting, the Water Dragon Lord, led by Suirenshi, rushed to the site.

This led to the scene just now.

Then, Feng Zichen led Suirenshi and the Water Dragon Lord to the Great Luo Dao Domain, the center of the Three Races Battlefield.

  "This aura…"

Standing before the Great Luo Dao Domain, sensing the vast and boundless aura, the Water Dragon Lord frowned, trying to recall the origin of this Great Luo Golden Immortal.

"This is the Yinming Dragon Venerable. I never expected Your Excellency to slumber here." After a long while, the Water Dragon Lord finally recognized the origin of this Great Luo.

The Yinming Dragon Venerable, a primordial divine dragon born from the Yinming Qi, is the embodiment of the Yinming Dao.
