Chapter 251 - Chapter 251 The Punished Disciples of the Chan Sect

Chapter 251 The Punished Disciples of the Chan Sect

"No wonder Master's tone was off, saying a bunch of inexplicable things. It turns out he was afraid I wouldn't resist the temptation, join the Heavenly Court, and get caught up in the trouble."

"Master still doesn't understand me!" "

The ancestor of the Loose Immortals, carefree and unrestrained, is my pursuit. The Heavenly Court, though good, is not a place for a carefree person."

"Otherwise, with my origins shared with the Heavenly Realm, becoming the ruler of a Heaven would be no problem."

Having understood everything, Xuan Qing feigned sudden realization and said to Bai Ze:

  "Your Majesty?"

  "So it's Uncle-Master!"

"A gift from an elder is not to be refused. Since it was sent by Uncle-Master, then this humble Daoist will accept it with great honor."

Saying this, Xuan Qing took the jade pot from Bai Ze's hand and then said:

"I hope you, fellow Daoist, will thank Uncle-Master for me. Once the Kunlun matter is settled, this humble Daoist will definitely go to the Heavenly Court to personally express my gratitude!"

"It's nothing, fellow Daoist is too kind." Waving his hand, Bai Ze took his leave: "Heavenly affairs are busy, and many mundane matters await my attention. Now that the gift has been delivered, I shall take my leave."

"I await your arrival in Heaven, fellow Daoist?"

With that, Bai Ze, without waiting for Xuan Qing to persuade him to stay, bowed and departed from Kunlun Mountain.

"A pot of Three Lights Divine Water, Emperor Jun is quite generous."

After watching Bai Ze leave, Xuan Qing shook the jade pot in his hand and said with a smile.

Emperor Jun had no shortage of Three Lights Divine Water, nor did he. Moreover, he had a Chaos Spring that continuously produced Chaos Spiritual Spring, even more precious than Three Lights Divine Water.

  ...

In the Jade Purity Palace, Yuanshi Tianzun had just returned and had not yet sat down when Guang Chengzi rushed in in a fluster.

  "You insolent fool!"

"What kind of behavior is this, all flustered and hurried? Do you have no dignity whatsoever as a Xuanmen Immortal?"

Immediately, Yuanshi Tianzun's face darkened, and he reprimanded Guang Chengzi with displeasure.

"Master, please forgive me, I know I was wrong!"

Realizing his lapse in composure, Guang Chengzi quickly stopped and carefully straightened himself up. After regaining his composure, he leisurely walked to Yuanshi Tianzun and bowed to him, saying, "Disciple Guang Chengzi greets Master!"

Upon seeing this, Yuanshi Tianzun's expression softened, and he nodded with satisfaction at Guang Chengzi, saying, "Not bad, this is how a true immortal of the Xuanmen should be."

Then, he asked Guang Chengzi about the purpose of his visit: "Alright, what brings you to see your master?"

"Reporting to Master, Junior Brother Lingbao has been imprisoned under Qilin Cliff by Xuanqing Daoist of the Jie Sect due to a dispute with the disciples of the Jie Sect, and cannot escape."

"And we disciples are truly weak, and despite using all our methods, we cannot rescue Junior Brother. In deep shame, we have no choice but to come here to beg Master to intervene and rescue Junior Brother, freeing him from the suffering of imprisonment!"

As he spoke, Guang Chengzi knelt on the ground, his face filled with resentment, as if it were he, Guang Chengzi, who was being imprisoned, not Grand Master Lingbao.

"After rescuing Lingbao, should we also suppress Xuanqing? So that He knows that the disciples of the Chan Sect are not to be trifled with by the disciples of His Jie Sect?"

Hearing Guang Chengzi's words, Yuanshi Tianzun's expression gradually changed, becoming expressionless.

Then, He tried his best to suppress the anger in his heart and asked in a calm tone:

  "Is it or not?"

  "Guang Chengzi!"

Kneeling on the ground, Guang Chengzi couldn't see Yuanshi Tianzun's expression. Hearing only His words, he thought his master was going to stand up for them, and hurriedly said excitedly: "Yes, Master is absolutely right."

"That Xuanqing Daoist, relying on his high cultivation, dared to bully my Chan Sect disciples. He deserves this retribution."

"It would be best to suppress Him under Qilin Cliff as well, so that He can taste the suffering that Junior Brother Lingbao endured."

His words implied that he had already planned how to deal with Xuan Qing. After speaking, seemingly still unsatisfied, Guang Chengzi continued, "However, Xuan Qing has already attained the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm. The innate turbid energy beneath Qilin Cliff might not be able to deal with him. Perhaps Master should..."

Guang Chengzi was speaking with great satisfaction, completely unaware of the increasingly darkening face of Yuanshi Tianzun and the violently twitching eyebrows. Clearly, He had reached His limit.

  "Shut up!"

"You insolent fool! Xuanqing is your senior brother, and even more so, a Great Luo Dao Venerable. How dare you address him by his name?"

"Lingbao disrespected his elders, speaking rudely to Xuanqing. He was imprisoned under Qilin Cliff for two thousand years, entirely of his own making."

"You have already committed a grave offense by not learning from this, yet you dared to instigate your master to intervene, releasing Lingbao to suppress Xuanqing."

  "You..."

"Truly, what a display of power!"

Yuanshi Tianzun abruptly stood up from the futon, interrupting Guangchengzi, pointing at him and cursing him furiously.

"Disciple knows his sins, please calm down, Master!"

Yuanshi Tianzun's sudden outburst terrified Guangchengzi, who kowtowed repeatedly.

  "Hmph, calm down!"

"Did Lingbao send you to plead for him?"

Yuanshi Tianzun asked with a cold snort.

Sages respected their disciples' privacy and would never speculate on their information unless absolutely necessary.

Therefore, even the near-omnipotent and omniscient sage lost his composure when facing his disciple.

"No, it's because this disciple saw my junior brother's pitiful state and came specifically to plead with the Master. It has nothing to do with my junior brother." Fearing further involvement, Guang Chengzi simply took all the blame upon himself.

"This sense of responsibility is somewhat like that of the eldest disciple of the Chan Sect."

Yuanshi Tianzun was quite satisfied with Guang Chengzi's attitude, and even his anger subsided considerably.

As the eldest disciple, knowing how to protect his junior brother was commendable. If Guang Chengzi had pushed all the responsibility onto his junior brother, that would have been truly disappointing.

However, satisfaction aside, punishment was still necessary.

"Since you wish to be this good person, then I, your master, will grant your wish."

  "Issue my decree:"

"Lingbao has spoken disrespectfully and acted rashly, committing a grave error. Therefore, he is imprisoned under Qilin Cliff, forbidden from emerging for ten thousand years."

"May all immortals take this as a warning!"

Good heavens, he directly added eight thousand years to Grand Master Lingbao's sentence, exactly the timeframe Xuanqing had initially set.

After announcing the punishment for Grand Master Lingbao, Yuanshi Tianzun continued:

"Guangchengzi has shown no respect for his elders. He is imprisoned on Fenglei Rock, to suffer a thousand years of lightning punishment."

"The rest of the disciples do not cultivate, spending their days only indulging in verbal sparring and causing trouble. Therefore, you are all punished to face the wall and reflect on your mistakes for a thousand years."

The other disciples of the Chan Sect, waiting outside the hall, looked bitter upon hearing this. They exchanged glances, bowed towards the Yuqing Hall, and said:

  "Disciples obey!"

After saying this, they all returned to their caves and went to face the wall.

  "Master, this disciple is leaving!"

Inside the Jade Purity Hall, Guang Chengzi bowed, turned, and left to receive his punishment at the Wind and Thunder Rock.
