Drakar growled beside him.
The bonded dragon lowered its body protectively.

"That's a bad sign."
The system suddenly began flashing rapidly.

The portal cracked wider.

A massive silhouette slowly appeared inside the gate.
At first, it looked like darkness itself.
Then two enormous horns became visible.
Then glowing purple eyes.
The creature stepped forward.

Reality itself seemed to bend.
The ground trembled across the entire city.
Kai slowly looked up.
"…Yeah, that one feels worse."
Lyra's face had gone completely pale.
"Kai…"
Kai glanced at her.
"What now?"
Lyra swallowed hard.
"That… is the Abyss Overlord."
Kai rubbed his temples.
"So we've upgraded from demon lord… to abyss titan… to overlord."
He pointed at the portal.
"Is there an abyss emperor too or are we done?"
The massive creature stepped fully into the world.
It was enormous.
Taller than the Abyss Titan.
Its body looked like living shadow.
Six enormous wings spread behind it.
Chains of dark energy wrapped around its arms like serpents.
The system exploded with alerts.

Kai raised an eyebrow.
"That sounds encouraging."
The Abyss Overlord looked around slowly.
Its purple eyes scanned the battlefield.
Dragons.
Demons.
The titan.
Finally—
They stopped on Kai.
Kai sighed.
"Of course."
The creature's voice echoed across the sky.
"You carry the Sovereign Bloodline."
Kai crossed his arms.
"You're the fourth monster to tell me that today."
The Overlord tilted its head slightly.
"You are not fully awakened."
Kai shrugged.
"Working on it."
Behind him, the shadow of the First Dragon moved again.
Golden light flickered across Kai's aura.
The Overlord noticed instantly.

The Abyss Titan stepped beside the Overlord like a loyal guard.

"Kai… that attack could destroy half the continent."

Drakar roared loudly beside him.
The Dragon Emperor spread its wings again.
The Sovereign Dragon descended from the sky.
Kai looked behind him.
An entire dragon army was gathering.
Dozens of dragons circled the battlefield.

The Overlord raised its hand higher.
A massive sphere of abyss energy formed above the city.

The Dragon Emperor roared.
Drakar roared.
The entire dragon army roared.

"Then let's start one."

The dimensional gate behind the Overlord trembled again.
Even the Overlord froze.
Lyra noticed first.
"Kai…"
Kai frowned.
"What now?"
Lyra pointed toward the portal.
"Kai… something is pushing the gate open from the other side."

"…You're kidding."
Because something massive was forcing its way through the portal.
Something even the Abyss Overlord seemed wary of.
