Chapter 140 Luffy Takes a Beauty to Amazon LilyGarp frowned slightly, his smile fading. "Trying to win over Zeff? Don't underestimate that Weevil. He calls himself Whitebeard Jr., and although Whitebeard didn't acknowledge it, that idiot does possess some of Whitebeard's youthful strength. He could cut off Zeff's arm; he's definitely Admiral-level. You're still too green."
Luffy shrugged, noncommittal. "That's hard to say."
"Alright, have your two subordinates come find me later. I'll personally deliver it." Seeing Luffy's resolve, Garp didn't try to persuade him further.
Suddenly, Garp changed the subject: "About Ace, well done."
"By the way, I saw that old man Rayleigh. I was busy cleaning up the trash and didn't pay him any attention. What happened to Red Tree #13? Where's Ace?" Luffy suddenly remembered this.
Upon hearing this, Garp chuckled gleefully, "You dumped Ace on Rayleigh and even spoiled Blackbeard's plans. That old guy was afraid Ace would go to his death, so he just kept him trapped on the island."
"The two of them were fighting on the island every day, making so much noise that even the Marines got involved. I only found out you kidnapped Ace from the report."
"Later, Blackbeard captured those Supernovas, and Ace became even more aggressive. Then, not long ago, that old guy Whitebeard came knocking, fought Rayleigh, and took Ace away."
"That old bastard Rayleigh destroyed his own bar, and now he's robbing those suckers who want to buy information to rebuild it for his wife, hahaha!"
Garp laughed until tears almost streamed down his face.
Luffy was speechless. No wonder Rayleigh looked at him like he wanted to eat him alive. If there hadn't been reporters around, he probably would have sparred with him on the spot.
"In a couple of days, during the Marineford War, should we ask those old acquaintances to go easy on Ace?" Luffy tentatively asked.
"Go easy on him my ass! He deserved to get beaten up! He wouldn't have been a Marine, he insisted on being a pirate!"
Garp instantly bristled, "That son of a bitch Whitebeard, he dared to touch my grandson! If I don't beat him to a pulp, I'm not Iron Fist Garp!"
Luffy patted the fuming Garp, comforting him, "It's alright, Ace calls you grandpa and Whitebeard dad, so you're a generation above Whitebeard, you're not at a disadvantage."
Garp paused for a moment, then suddenly understood, a bright smile spreading across his face: "Hey? You're right! I'll definitely have a good chat with my 'good son' then, hahaha!"
"By the way, the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Boa Hancock, hasn't accepted the conscription yet, right?"
Luffy suddenly changed the subject.
"Her Amazon Lily is close to headquarters, and she seems to still be out there, not back in Amazon Lily. What? You want to go?" Garp looked Luffy up and down suspiciously.
Luffy stroked his chin, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Wouldn't it be better to bring you back a granddaughter-in-law?"
Garp rolled his eyes. "Go find Vice Admiral Momonga to relieve you, just don't die in that pile of women. Granddaughter-in-law? Dream on."
Everyone knows Amazon Lily hates men the most; she'll shoot you a sieve even if you're near the shore.
"Alright! Give me the person!"
Luffy couldn't wait to find Robin and Kalifa, ready to begin his Amazon Lily adventure.
...
"Why can Robin-chan and Kalifa-chan go with you to the legendary Amazon Lily?! And I have to go with this burly man?!"
On the dock, Sanji frantically pointed at Garp, roaring desperately at Luffy, tears and snot streaming down his face.
"I won't! I want to go to Amazon Lily! It's the dreamland of all men!!"
Robin, standing nearby, suddenly chimed in, "Isn't your dream to find All Blue?"
Kalifa adjusted her glasses and added insult to injury, "I think you also said your dream was to eat the Clear-Clear Fruit."
Sanji instantly froze: "..."
"I don't care! I want to go to Amazon Lily! I want to..."
Thump!
Garp casually extended his fist, picking his nose as he dragged the already-rolling-over Sanji back like a dead dog: "This little brother's too noisy, needs a good fix."
Usopp, standing nearby, trembled with fear, his soul nearly leaving his body. Zoro, meanwhile, unleashed a torrent of abuse at Sanji's retreating back: "Idiot Curly Eyebrows..."
Luffy chuckled, boarding the warship bound for Amazon Lily with the two beautiful women.
Zoro also decided to go to Zephyr's place before the Marineford War to train in Haki and improve his raw strength.
The warship sailed directly through the Gates of Justice towards the Calm Belt, taking this shortcut from headquarters to Amazon Lily in less than two days.
On deck, Robin asked curiously, "I heard Amazon Lily is a country entirely composed of women, is that true?"
Luffy nodded.
Behind him, Kalifa dutifully adjusted her glasses and began her explanation:
"The inhabitants of Amazon Lily are a warrior race known as the 'Nine Serpents.' They are raised as warriors from birth, relying entirely on themselves for everything from building houses to hunting. Therefore, they are all strong, fierce, and believe in the creed that 'strength is beauty.'"
"Sometimes, the island's inhabitants go to sea, become pregnant, and return with children, but miraculously, all the babies born are girls."
"For hundreds of years, the island has had a strict 'men's ban.' Any man who sets foot on the island is killed."
"Almost every emperor here suffers from lovesickness, some even dying from it. It's said they fall ill from longing, ultimately succumbing to their own unrequited love. The World Government once tried to exploit this weakness to subdue them, but they were driven out before even setting foot on the island."
"The most terrifying thing is that almost all the female warriors of Amazon Lily can use Haki. They're practically a monster nation where everyone is a soldier, and even the World Government doesn't want to provoke them easily."
Kalifa poured out all the classified information she'd seen at CP9.
Robin listened with fascination: "What a fascinating social structure."
"When they want to have children, they just knock the man unconscious, drag him onto the ship, and...hehehe?" Luffy stroked his chin, revealing a lewd smile that every man understands.
Kalifa mercilessly poured cold water on the idea: "Those with priority in choosing a partner are usually those big, burly, even more muscular 'muscle Barbies' than men."
The cunning Robin added with a smile: "Maybe in the end it's kill first, then...and then kill again."
Luffy's beautiful fantasy instantly shattered: "Are you two devils?!"
...
For the rest of the voyage, Luffy became unusually diligent, training like crazy on the deck.
The template he drew this time, Hitsugaya Toshiro, was a genius rarely seen in the Bleach world, a young man already the captain of the 10th Division—his talent was extremely high.
