Chapter 152 Luffy Angrily Kills CrocodileEven if we don't fight now, allowing the Four Emperors' power to continue expanding will inevitably lead to a larger war sooner or later.
The Navy and pirates are inherently opposed to each other, good and evil—this is an unchanging truth.
"The Navy is the last line of defense for maintaining order in this world. Everyone else can back down, but the Navy cannot. Jinbe, what you're doing now, how is it any different from those trashy Celestial Dragons who arbitrarily launch Buster Calls under the guise of peace?"
Magellan, who had been listening with fervor behind him, stumbled and almost fell: "Vice Admiral Luffy... you can't just say things like that."
"Eh? Is that so? Hahaha, just pretend you didn't hear that." Luffy laughed insincerely.
"Did you come all this way just to give Jinbe a political lesson?" Magellan asked, speechless.
"Ah? No, it's just that I don't like him. He acts like a saint, 'I'm doing this for world peace,' and it just infuriates me." Luffy chuckled.
Magellan's eyes twitched violently. Garp's grandson was indeed as rumored—a real troublemaker.
"Hahaha!"
Another hoarse laugh suddenly rang out from the darkness. "Things seem to be getting interesting outside. You're still as lawless as ever, but what you said earlier was quite to my liking. A thief is a thief, Jinbe. I'm tired of your hypocritical rhetoric."
Everyone turned to look. Luffy looked curiously at another cell: "Oh, not quite dead yet? Crocodile."
"I remember when the government asked me for him, they said they were going to kill him to establish their authority. How come he looks so lively?"
Luffy turned to Magellan and asked.
Magellan scratched his head awkwardly. "I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, but it seems the World Government thinks this guy still has some use..."
"Oh, I see."
Luffy nodded, but before he could finish speaking, a golden beam of magical energy radiating terrifying heat pierced through Crocodile's chest.
"What?!?" Magellan's eyes nearly popped out of his head, staring at Luffy in shock.
Crocodile looked down, completely bewildered by the charred hole in his chest, not even having a chance to scream.
"Why keep this kind of scum around? Do you expect him to be redeemed?" Luffy's eyes were icy as he watched Crocodile slowly fall, his tone completely flat.
"With you messing things up like this, it's going to be hard for me to explain to the World Government." Magellan's face was ashen, as if he'd swallowed a pound of poison.
"If you can't explain it, then don't explain it. When have we Marines ever needed to consider the World Government's feelings?" Luffy said with a smug grin, his tone extremely arrogant.
At this moment, all the Level 6 criminals were enraged by this scene, bursting into maniacal laughter: "Hahaha! What a lawless Marine!"
"Is Whitebeard going to die?"
"That's great, fantastic!"
"Let me out! I must be the one to take Whitebeard's head!"
The prisoners began to riot, pounding on their cages.
Magellan, seeing this, roared, "Shut up! Who do you think this prison is, you Poison Dragon!"
Three enormous purple venomous dragons roared out, instantly engulfing the cages where the clamor was loudest. Prisoners touched by the venom screamed in agony, but many more endured it thanks to their terrifying physical strength.
After all, anyone imprisoned in Level 6 was no pushover.
Magellan snorted coldly, turning to Luffy and saying, "Vice Admiral Luffy, we've had enough of the show, shouldn't we go?"
Luffy, following behind Magellan, suddenly lowered his voice and suggested with a grin, "Old Magellan, why don't we just wipe out all these Level 6 guys? Saves us trouble later."
Magellan's expression changed drastically upon hearing this, his muscles tensing as he warily watched Luffy, fearing the madman might actually make a move.
Seeing Magellan's tense demeanor, Luffy suddenly grinned, "Just kidding, don't be so nervous."
With that, he turned and walked towards the elevator without looking back.
Magellan stood there, watching Luffy's retreating figure with a look of surprise and uncertainty. He quickly followed, silently praying that this jinx would leave soon; he didn't want any more trouble in his territory.
Afterwards, Luffy acted as if he really was just on a sightseeing trip. After escorting the batch of prisoners to be publicly executed on the fifth level of Impel Down, he didn't linger at all and simply rode away.
The ever-nervous Magellan finally breathed a sigh of relief as he watched Luffy's warship sail away: "Monkey D. Luffy? What on earth are you plotting?"
Magellan then shook his head, muttering to himself, "Never mind, as long as I keep Impel Down safe, everything's fine."
But he was completely unaware that deep within Level 6, the door to Crocodile's cell had silently opened a crack from the inside.
"Pfft, hahaha!"
From the Fleet Admiral's office at Marine Headquarters came Garp's signature loud laughter.
"What's so funny, Garp!"
Sengoku roared at Garp in a fit of rage, nearly crushing the documents in his hand. "Listen to the report from Impel Down! Your grandson stabbed Crocodile, whom the World Government specifically ordered to be spared! He even tried to slaughter all the Level 6 prisoners!"
"Now they're refusing to leave the warship, saying they're tired from the long journey and need to rest! Do you even realize how serious this is?! Every second they delay increases the risk! The Whitebeard Pirates and their entire fleet have vanished into thin air!"
"Hahahaha!" Garp laughed heartily, stuffing Sengoku's stash of senbei into his mouth. "You've got some skills, worthy of being my grandson! Well done!"
"These world-shaking events, and he keeps causing us trouble! First, he beat up a Celestial Dragon in Sabaody Archipelago, and now he's causing so much trouble just by escorting a prisoner! Do you know the World Government is about to explode?"
Sengoku, exasperated by the grandfather and grandson, slammed his fist on the table. Looking at the gleeful Garp, Sengoku grabbed him by the collar and roared, "Stop joking, Garp! If it weren't for your status as a Marine hero, this scapegoat would have been enough to wipe out your entire clan!"
"Hahaha, what does it matter? I'm a hero anyway!"
"You still have the nerve to laugh like an idiot?"
"Do you know how much trouble Tsuru and I went through to clean up your mess?"
Sengoku, his face flushed with anger, snatched the bag of senbei from Garp's arms.
Then, like a sulking child, he tilted his head back and shoved all the senbei into his mouth, crunching loudly.
Garp, who had been pretending to be oblivious, jumped up in panic when he saw his snacks were gone.
"That's my stockpile! Spit it out!"
The officers standing guard nearby, even though they were sweating profusely, kept their backs ramrod straight.
They kept their eyes down, silently chanting, "I'm a wooden post, I didn't see anything, I'm deaf and blind."
Meanwhile, the atmosphere outside Impel Down was suffocatingly oppressive.
Under the dim sky, a group of Marine vice admirals paced anxiously around Luffy's warship like ants on a hot plate.
With less than two days until the public execution, the officer in charge of escorting him showed no sign of making a move.
Onigumo finally snapped, his face turning ashen as he kicked the railing.
"Damn it! Does he think this kind of mission is child's play? I'm going in right now and dragging him out!"
Doberman, startled, rushed forward and grabbed him tightly.
"Are you crazy? That's Garp's grandson! Do you want to lose your job?"
"But…!"
Onigumo tried to argue, but Doberman forcefully pressed down on his shoulders.
"Don't worry, we'll use the government's special currents and whirlpools. We'll reach Marine Headquarters in a few hours. Just bear with it a little longer."
Hearing this, Onigumo, seething with anger, could only sullenly sit on a mooring bollard on the dock.
Time crawled by like a snail through the night, and only 22 hours remained until the execution.
Onigumo completely lost his temper, drawing his sword with a clang and preparing to charge into the cabin.
"Damn it! If we don't set off soon, the Navy will become a laughingstock of the world tomorrow!"
Just as he was about to take a step, a cold, expressionless figure emerged from the shadows of the cabin.
"Set sail. Back to headquarters."
Luffy emanated an invisible, terrifying pressure, forcefully silencing the curse Onigumo was about to utter.
Everyone instantly sprang into action, some weighing anchor, others hoisting sails, and the fleet raced towards Marine Headquarters at full speed.
"Damn Marines! You'll regret this! Whitebeard will definitely come to save us!"
"Wash your necks and wait! You've angered the strongest man on this sea!"
"Whitebeard will slaughter you Marines, leaving not a single one alive!"
The fleet captains imprisoned at the bottom roared like mad dogs, a stark contrast to Ace's deathly silence.
Luffy listened to the commotion, his eyes cold as if looking at a group of dead men.
"Shut up."
"Anyway, your heads are just numbers. A few dead or alive make no difference to Whitebeard, right?"
The pirates who had been shouting just moments before instantly cowered like quails with their throats being choked, retreating into a corner.
These are all seasoned veterans, no fools; they all know Luffy is speaking the harsh truth.
The Navy captured them to lure out Whitebeard, this big fish.
