For a time, the four branch family heads argued endlessly. Their faces flushed red with anger as they fought over the credit.
Alex sat to the side. Quietly listening for a moment before faintly opening his mouth.
"Alright, stop arguing."
"The performances of all four of you were incredibly heroic."
"In capturing this person, every single one of you has a share of the credit. Is that correct?"
"Correct!"
The four of them hurriedly nodded for all they were worth. Terrified that their share of the credit would be snatched away by someone else.
Alex smiled faintly.
"First, I must tell you some bad news."
"This person... is not the monster I spoke of."
