It been 2 days since we arrived at my grandparents marquisate (the land they rule/defend),Kiaza is a beautiful place with various mountains around it making it a well protected and annoying place to attack, which is a good thing considering the race the place borders.
Back to me, I have had a good reception since i arrived and I'm sure it has everything to do with Grandma, the old man wouldn't give two shit if some bastard called me blind, but look at me funny when Grandma is around and well you can meet the Gods.
On a more serious note, today is the day i will be taking to the famous mount kiaza by the old man and he is definitely not happy he will be wasting his day with what he consider a waste of time, after all what does a coreless child need Mana for.
Oh in case you are wondering why mount kiaza has much Mana it's because one of the five known SS rank gate and the only one humans were able to defeat was open there. Since then the Mana as been really high at the top of the mountain tho because it was very long ago there has been a reduction in the quality and capacity of mana on the mountain but it still a precious resource for any one below SS rank.
That the reason two SS rank were placed to guard it for the kingdom. Yes my grandparents are both SS rank so yeah my family is not to be fucked with.

Now while we no the way there let's talk about a little bit of history, first there's no knowledge of when Mana was first discovered or introduce to the land of Achaea, it's was probably destroyed when the convergence occurred.whats the convergence, well it's the joining of dieing worlds to a healthy one to prolong life,or more accurately preserve what left of the dieing worlds.
Five such worlds has joined Achaea with humans only ever able to stop one from completing the procedure which is were we are currently heading to. Oh to perform this a person above SSS rank is required or multiple people of that level of power in other to inniciate the convergence.
Though it comes with a price, no one in the new world after the convergence will be able to get to the SSS for a thousand years considering four were successful that's four thousand years of no advancement for anyone. This was supposed be be a way for the defensive side to reclaim their land, but the defensive side were humans.
Back in the days before the convergence there were only 7 empires,oh i must say even before the convergence Achaea was more than twice the size of earth so why only 7, simple, those first 7 decided they don't want another empire coming up and that sharing the world 7 ways is already too much so anyone with the potential to reach or surpass them was killed.
Humans with potential back then didn't last long, you are growing too fast that good here is a mission for you. You survived the mission, you must have been compromised by the other side so we must kill you and just like that you are dead.some even didn't bother giving reason they just killed without care.
Those fools didn't understand that nothing happened without reason, the emergence of all those with potential was the world trying to prepare it own protection against it would be attackers for it knows humans were individually weaker than the other race which they compensated for by having a very good birthrate,so it reason that with enough numbers it should survive but it failed to account for the greed of humanity strongest so it lost and humanity suffered as well.
When the convergence happened the 7 were humble so bad and so fast they decided to stick together. You see they each believed themselves to be God's so when the event started they attacked what was close to their territory thinking nothing could stand in their way.
They were wrong. You see while during the convergence only those weaker than SSS rank could pass through, it was the universe giving the world invaded a chance to protect itself after all the world should have SSS rank in other to inniciate and receive the convergence but no race was built the same and humanity had been killing their advantages for a long time so when the other arrived with their advantages humans could only cry wolf.
Even though the other could only send up to SS+, humanity strongest were folded so bad it was laughable. They were so traumatized they wouldn't fight unless they were two or three against one of them, which was the world's plans from the beginning, but they were not enough to stand against all invasion.
So they were forced to make the save decision and attack the one invasion further from the others. Which was a good plan but otherwise useless because the other invasion were not exactly united so when they ran to the furthest part of their world living the most resource filled part to their invaders, the invaders rejoice and let them destroy one of their competitors , which they didn't achieve without paying a significant price (which the invaders expected).
That was how seven vast empires were reduced to bearly acknowledge kingdoms. Even then they still fought for the scrap they managed to salvage which was Mount kiaza, this resulted in the further weakness of humanity because the strongest refuse to learn from their mistakes.
What do i mean they don't learn,well after a hard fought battle were they face 3 SS+ rank and nearly lost, even though they were of higher rank, they decided they do not want to share so with the little strength they had left they fought each other for the right to own which part of the small portion of Land they were able to take back, with the king of Ceste of that time just narrowly claiming it.because, he for saw the madness(he most likely started it), and prepare for it,or so he claimed. Well the others didn't buy his nonsense but he made sure to do enough damage to each of them so he had enough time to have Mount kiaza for himself.
Time which he used to strengthen himself and his children so when the other were ready to go again he had the upper hand and won so he was able to continue keeping his trophy. See how stupid they're, instead of coming together to face the theft of their world they fought each other for what was essentially nothing in the grand scheme of things because their world will Lost miserably at that which in turn stopped the production of humans with great potential, because since then no human has been born with the potential to reach SSS rank so when those seven died they were literally the last of their kind.
Which condemned humanity to not only tolerate the invaders but actually fear and avoid them and all the resources they have at their disposal, which in turn made them stronger.
