Xavier's POV
"Where is the Luna?" I asked Emilia.
The young woman shook like a leaf caught in a sudden frost, her eyes darting across the stone floor, landing everywhere except on me. I stomped my foot down, the heavy thud echoing through the corridor. My patience wasn't just wearing thin; it was completely shredded.
"If I don't get a response from you this exact second, consider yourself ready to face the consequences," I threatened, my voice dropping to a low, lethal growl.
I was already in a foul mood, and Sienna walking out on me was only adding fuel to the fire. At first, I figured it was just another one of her typical tantrums. She'd storm off, brood for a bit, and come back whenever her temper cooled down. After all, I hadn't said anything unreasonable. I hadn't said a damn thing bad enough to warrant the kind of explosive anger she'd put on display.
