Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: War on the Kingpin

Night fell over New York.

Dark clouds covered the sky while the city lights glittered like stars below.

From the rooftop of a nearby building, three figures observed the massive tower ahead.

The headquarters of Wilson Fisk.

Fisk Tower.

Spider-Man crouched on the edge of the roof.

"Okay… so just to confirm…"

He pointed toward the skyscraper.

"We're actually breaking into the headquarters of the most powerful crime lord in New York."

Beside him, Daredevil adjusted his grip on his batons.

"Yes."

Spider-Man sighed.

"Just making sure."

Behind them stood Fredy.

Calm as always.

His shadow stretched across the rooftop like living darkness.

Spider-Man glanced at him.

"You're awfully quiet for someone starting a war."

Fredy replied simply.

"It's already started."

Daredevil nodded.

"Fisk will have dozens of armed guards inside."

"Possibly enhanced ones."

Spider-Man grinned behind his mask.

"Good thing we brought the shadow army."

Fredy stepped forward.

His shadow soldiers slowly emerged behind him.

Shade.

Knight.

And the others.

Eleven warriors made entirely of darkness.

Fredy looked toward the tower.

"The plan is simple."

Spider-Man raised a finger.

"Those are usually the dangerous plans."

Fredy ignored him.

"We destroy the security systems."

"Capture Fisk."

"And end his operation."

Daredevil listened carefully.

"That might work."

Then he added quietly.

"But Fisk won't surrender easily."

Fredy smiled slightly.

"I know."

At that exact moment—

A powerful spotlight suddenly illuminated the rooftop.

Floodlights activated from the tower.

Dozens of rifles aimed at them.

A voice echoed from loudspeakers.

"Welcome."

The voice was deep.

Cold.

Controlled.

Kingpin himself.

Fisk's massive figure appeared on a balcony high above.

"I've been expecting you."

Spider-Man whispered.

"…Well that's not good."

Fisk continued calmly.

"You've caused significant damage to my business."

His gaze locked onto Fredy.

"But I admire your ambition."

Fredy crossed his arms.

"I'm not here to negotiate."

Fisk smiled faintly.

"I know."

He raised one hand.

"Kill them."

Suddenly—

The tower doors exploded open.

Dozens of armored mercenaries rushed outside.

Behind them walked something even worse.

A giant figure nearly seven feet tall.

Muscles enhanced by experimental serum.

Metal gauntlets glowing with energy.

Spider-Man stared.

"…Okay."

"That guy definitely goes to the gym."

Daredevil's senses focused.

"That's Fisk's personal enforcer."

Fredy's shadow soldiers stepped forward.

The battlefield was ready.

Fredy whispered quietly.

"Attack."

The shadows surged forward.

Spider-Man swung into the air.

Daredevil rushed ahead.

And the war against Kingpin officially began.
