It was their way of making up for all these years.

Without further delay, as soon as they arrived, Aunt Lavinia guided Ashley toward the elevator tucked discreetly behind the sweeping dual-curved marble staircase.
From there, she brought her straight to the prepared suite on the third floor, where household staff moved efficiently, carrying boxes, arranging items, and settling each detail into place.
The moment the heavy mahogany double doors swung open, which was richly carved with intricate patterns, Ashley fell silent.
The space beyond was… vast.
