Kai Kayaba
Akeno closes her eyes and places her hand on her chin and she says in an overly sweet voice "Ara~ ara~,Watanabe-san, may you kindly let go of Katagiri-san.
"Ara~ ara~, From where I'm standing we're not some all knowing beings that decide who dies, we're humans."
Itsuki with a serious look on his face says "She's right...You have no right to do this!"
Motoyasu, seeing that everyone was against him, had to defend his point of view.
"We need to sacrifice someone right? Then Yuuichi should pay for his actions.How many of our classmates lost their lives today?"
"Ara~ ara~,and does that give you permission to take someone else's life?"
"You know Motoyasu...If you're so willing to take someone's life, why don't you put yours on the line!? Yuuichi didn't do it on purpose!"
Ren, getting mildly annoyed, yelled at the group in exasperation.
"Stop screaming damn it!
Ignoring him, Motoyasu, glaring at Yuuichi, decided to speak.
"He must take responsibility"
Itsuki's pride got hurt. He needed to get justice no he wanted justice "I won't allow it! This isn't justice, it's murder!
Akeno getting annoyed with the two arguing steps in "Ara ara, If you two are going argue like children why don't both of put your lives on the line."
Ren was getting anxious because it was getting to quite and the statues haven't moved a muscle.
"Fuck...We need to be fast. That thing is awfully quiet. I don't like it."
Albeit all of this, what was the right thing to do? To sacrifice an "innocent person" because of a mistake he accidentally did? The situation truly is interesting.
Before they could continue,Yuuichi looks up with tears going down his face, as everyone looks at him.
"Motoyasu is right...I must take responsibility. I want to go by myself...Please leave me alone…"
Itsuki trying to stop this injustice in his mind speaks up "No Yuuichi! It wasn't your fault!
However, Yuuichi stood up and started to slowly walk towards the Altar. While he did, Kai wondered something.
"That smile….what is this bastard planning?"
As Yuuichi walked towards the Altar, sobbing sounds were heard, as Itsuki glared at Motoyasu and he looked away. In a matter of seconds, he had reached the Altar.
When he did he looked at the symbols. He wasn't able to understand them, as they were neither in any language nor image, which he could interpret.
However, before he could say anything, beside him, a small blue fire lit up behind him, and everyone looked shocked. Yuuichi didn't really comprehend what happened and neither did the others.
"What!? What's happening!?"
Seeing how nothing happened, Ren turned toward Kai.
"Kayaba-kun. Is this not what is supposed to happen?"
"Ara ara,Perhaps he has to-"
Before Akeno could finish, she felt daggers being stabbed behind her back, as she stopped talking.
While that happened, I kept looking at the situation. An Altar but instead of Yuuichi dying immediately, a flame lit up.
"One flame? What does that mean? Did it not want a sacrifice?"
I looked around. There were a total of 6 people remaining. None of them could possibly do anything in this situation. They've struggled and struggled. And suffered and suffered.
However, one thought came to mind.
"Could it be…" Realization hit me like a truck, I sighed before looking forward.
"Can someone help me reach the Altar?"
Hearing me, everyone's eyes widened. Motoyasu grabbed me and put him on his back.

Everyone stared confused before a screeching sound was heard. They all turned back and looked, as the door fully opened.
Itsuki yelled out in excitement "The door opened!"
Motoyasu turned his head towards the door "W-What!?"
As they stared at it, many questions arose in their heads. Could they live? Were they actually going to survive?
However, I looked around and noticed how one of the flames which were beside us turned off. As it did, the statue's eyes let out a bright color, as they started to approach us, leaving their once positions. Seeing this, it scared us half to death.
Motoyasu is just done with everything that happened today "What now!?"
"They're getting closer." Yuuichi whispers.
"Damn it. All of them just started to move." Itsuki says in panic.
As they kept getting closer, more of the purple lights kept going out. They truly didn't understand the situation. From one side, the statues were getting close but also from behind. However, the big one didn't. It stayed in place.
I kept watching their movements, one by one. When I turned my gaze from one statue, it stopped in its tracks, with a loud stomp. I then look elsewhere at another, as it also stops. Soon, everyone noticed this, as they tried to look at the other statues.
"Ara ara, As long as we look at them, they will stop moving."
"It's like looking at the ghost in Super Carlos!" Motoyasu says.
As they did, more flames also kept vanishing, as everyone kept their eyes on them. However, anxiety was getting to all, and the first to crack...was Itsuki.
"We have to leave…"
Hearing Itsuki, everyone looked at him and saw his determined gaze.
Itsuki was desperate and desperate people do stupid things "If we go, then we're free. There's no reason to stay here."
Akeno's voice echoed out behind me "Itsuki if you do this you will die and the rest of us will too."

Before we could even stop him, the statues that Itsuki was looking at, started to move. When Itsuki stepped out of the circle, one of the purple flames went out. At the same time, the doors slightly closed a bit almost as if it responded to both the flames and Itsuki.
It was still very much open and Itsuki knew that. He ran even faster until he passed the door. When he did, almost was as if he entered water, as it sucked him in.
Seeing how he just disappeared, everyone gave looks of shock.
"Where did he go!?" Ren yelled out in panic.
"Ara ara,He got out? Kayaba-kun, I think it's possible!? He got out alive. Albeit the door closed a little."
However, I didn't answer. I was confused myself.
"What? What is this? A purple flame disappeared after a certain amount of time. One of the blue flames that appeared based on the number of people that were in the Altar, went out as soon as he left. The first commandment is to worship the lord. The second is to praise the lord. So far, they weren't complicated riddles. But is the open door a trap? A false hope. When all of the purple flames appeared, the door opened. While the doors closed just a little when the purple flames disappeared. The door will close once all purple flames are gone. 'Prove your faith' means that even in terror and danger, with sweet temptation, you keep proving your faith. Yes, it must be it."
With it finally clicking, I looked at everyone.
"Nobody move! Losing more people will make everything more difficult. If we lose two more, then we'll be unable to look at the statues, then we'll die."
Ren looks at me and says "Kayaba, at least explain before blurting things out!"
I looked back at Ren trying to explain what I figured out. "All we have to do is stay here and look at the statues until the purple flames are completely gone. The purple flames are a timer, we'll be able to leave once the flames vanish."
What I was saying was coherent enough. Wait here, look at the statues, and leave. However, I forgot to account for one thing.
Human variables, such as emotions.
"Hey Kayaba...You may be right...but couldn't the doors just close when the flames go out?"
Montoyasu asked me as his hair covered his eyes
Upon hearing the question, I froze. Of course, I thought about it, however I needed to choose something logical something that will keep us alive.
Motoyasu kept looking forward, not looking anyone in the eyes.
"To be honest...I never imagined a wimpy loner like you could be so helpful. I always looked down on you. Seeing you at school being introverted acting all weird bugged me. I never expected a school assignment to play out like this. We've lost 3 people to this room...But those of us that are still alive, including Itsuki, is here because of you... Because you solved the riddles...I'm also here because of you...Thank you…"
"Motoyasu…"
Suddenly Motoyasu turned around to look at them, as he had tears in his eyes, as they kept going down uncontrollably.
"But...But...I have a family... friends...I don't want to die here. I don't want to…"
Saying that Motoyasu took a step forward.
Ren knew what he was about to do so he tried to stopped him
"Motoyasu!"
" Wait, don't!" Akeno reached out her hand in desperation.
" I'm sorry everyone...This is all before that, 'power of friendship bastard'...I can't stay here anymore."
As Motoyasu stepped out of the circle the purple flame went out, and Kai looked dejected before screaming out.
"Motoyasu!!!"
Tears started to fall from my eyes as Motoyasu's figure reached the door. Ren and Akeno wanted to stop him but they could also leave the circle accidentally.
However, I thought about what he said.
"Thank you. Don't make me laugh! You... Running from here...will result in our deaths."
As the door slightly closed, Ren looked towards the door, before looking back at everyone else.
"The doors are nearly closed...It's too late now but I think I get it. Yuuichi, Shimizu help Kayaba and go…" Ren said as looked down and clenched his fist.
Hearing him, Akeno and Kai looked at him in shock.
"Ren, what are you saying?" Akeno asks in confusion.
"Akaba-san?"
"The door won't fully close as long as there's at least one person at the altar. The three of you should save yourselves while you can…"
Akeno was about to stand however... something happened. Out of nowhere, she had lost the strength of her legs, as she couldn't move.
"Damnit! My legs...I can't move."
"Shimizu-san!"
Yuuichi went to check on her, as Ren looked at this and sighed.
"You must be exhausted. You are the one that worked the hardest during the whole evening…"
As Kai heard that, he looked toward the door and the statues. He knew that as long as one person remained it would be safe. Which is why...
"Aka-Ren... Yuuichi...Grab Akeno and go."
When they heard that, Ren turned and glared at Kai.
"Dumbass! I said I would stay!"
"Three people must go. If one stays, who's to say that the statues won't attack? With one person carrying another with only one spot remaining at the altar, it would be too dangerous."
Hearing his reasoning, everyone stayed quiet while Akeno had tears in her eyes.
"No wait! I won't allow it. Let me stay here."
"Akeno started to struggle."
"I won't leave you here to die I won't let the person I-
Before she could finish, she was hit in the back of the head, causing her mind to go off. As she did, Kai's image when she met him was then replaced by images of another student, with black hair as well, as her last thoughts were.
"Once more. I was saved by someone else. I won't even get the chance to apologize...
Minoru… I couldn't even confess to Kai…Why can't i be strong like you bot- "
As her body was falling, Ren caught her.
" Sorry, Akeno."
Kai grinned up at Ren as he said.
" You were thinking that I was the best choice to be left behind, weren't you?"
However, Ren didn't answer...he didn't want to leave Kai behind, however, he was the one that couldn't move. He had completely lost a leg.
"Take care of her Ren and also don't beat yourself up, keep practicing kendo and fencing, go pro and live your life to the fullest." I said as I smiled at one of the last friends I made even though we became friends by shitty circumstances.
"I'm sorry Kai and I will, that's a promise."
With that, Ren started to walk forward, but not before looking back one last time.
"Yuuichi let's go."
Yuuichi nods.
With that, both Ren and Yuuichi started to walk forward. As they did, 3 purple flames disappeared from the Altar. Kai looked at them, before looking at Yuuichi. One second he was just staring at him worryingly before he suddenly flashed him a sadistic smirk.
As the three left through the door, Kai looked down, tired of everything that happened.
"Thank God. At least Ren and Akeno are ok but…"
Kai thinks back to Yuuichi's evil look in his eyes.
" He got away... He won."
Kai then looks forward, seeing the number of statues coming his way. Since he was leaning against the altar, he couldn't see either side of the room, therefore the statues were gonna reach him. He then raises a single fist into the sky, as he accepts his fate, all bloodied and tired.
"In the end…I wasn't able to become strong...I remained like this...Not even magic could fix me...
The footsteps got so close, that Kai could literally see how the flames reflected on the statues, making their normal orange lines purple. Kai glares at the monster, with his last bit of defiance.
"Come!"
When he said that, the statues with the sword raised it high in the sky before piercing Kai in the chest.
Kai's blood comes out of his mouth, as the pain is unbearable. Not even under any other circumstances where he almost died compared to this. He could feel his insides on fire, even though the weapon wasn't lit.
It then raises its sword high into the air, throwing him. When Kai finally fell down, he landed on the top of the Altar, and his blood started to paint it.
The once gray color tiles become fully colored with red blood Kai.
As he felt the pain course through his body, one final thought crossed his mind. As blood and tears left his body.
"I don't wanna...I don't wanna die...!"
Kai then thinks back to how Motoyasu apologized and thanked him before running away.
"What do you mean thank you!?"
Kai then thought about how Yuuichi smirked at him before he left.
Kai's thoughts; He knew that if I was ok, then Ren would have forced him to stay to pay for his mistakes!
Kai then thought of how everyone ended up leaving him there
"Quit thinking about all of these betrayals!"
Kai then thought of his family, his mom and sister...
"I don't want to die either! I have a family too! At least they're ok. Stop lying to yourself.
You also want to be ok! He won that bastard knew it! I don't want to die...I need to leave...to find it... The way to become stronger...the way to gain power…"
Another of the statues then raised a spear at him, as Kai tried to struggle, yet he couldn't…
"If only...I had one more chance...Just one more I would become strong. The strongest in the world! I would fight for it, its injustices."
"Even if I'm not a direct Hero...I would fight from the Shadows! If that's the case...I would be a Hunter of Evil! Give me one last chance, please!!!"
As Kai said this, the warrior brought his spear down, stabbing Kai in the chest.
Kai's eyes closed, because of tiredness.
However, before the statue finished the attack... Before Kai let out his last breath...The last purple fire has gone out...
From behind Kai's body, a purple and black light covered him and the whole room, as the lord statue watched.
As the light became brighter, it was then suddenly surrounded by shadows...

Truly, it was a dark day.

The light became even stronger...

What are dreams to you. That's what I ask myself everyday but.
"I honestly can't remember what catalyzed this desire. Ever since I was little…I was fascinated with heroes and their strength. I wanted to be one. Kid's dream about this. However, I was slightly different…I desired to be a hunter of evil, one who didn't forgive criminals and fought for the good of humanity. I kept holding onto this dream that made me different from other kids because my passion wasn't just a temporary phase, my passion kept burning deep, deep within my heart. That's what kept driving me forward…However, I was born weak. No matter how much I studied, and no matter how much I trained in different things, my body could never tolerate it. I did everything to master every single fighting style and way of fighting. In school I was nicknamed…The weakest human to ever live. I was a joke character in the eyes of the people. I could never be a protagonist…Even so, I tried everything to fight it. But then I wondered…Even if I was strong…How could I survive things like a nuclear bomb? This brought me to search for magic... Attempting to harness it. I attempted but failed.
On top of a building, two figures were standing tall, their eyes glowing certain colors. One was glowing red in one of his eyes, while the other had a dark purple.
"Concession is not an option."
The first man that spoke was one fully clothed in a black, full-body suit, gloves, a domino mask, and boots along with a long hooded cloaked jacket.This attire is dyed jet black with golden accents. He seems to have black hair.
"Against our enemies, we shall take them out and protect everyone"
The other figure had a mostly fully black coat, with black combat boots. His hair was also black, yet his eyes were purple.
In front of them, a whole city was present.
People were going about their day-to-day life, on horse rides and carriages. People were in the market, buying their needs
As the two lords of darkness were watching, a voice
spoke from behind.
"Please don't worry about it."
Behind them eight girls stood all wearing similar outfits to that of the first man.
"We have them fully surrounded. They have no escape.."
A girl with long golden blonde with blue highlights in the middle and on end smiled at the two figures. "It's like you both foretold, my lords"
A girl with dark blue hair would place her hand on her chin "I only have deep admiration for your foresight and ability to plan ahead."
A girl with long silver hair that flows down her back "I have to make this scene in which ****appears majestic! I can't wait to write it!"
A dark skinned girl with black hair,hazel eyes with cat ears and twin tails said "We haven't had a great hunt in years! I can't wait!"
A girl with black hair and dog ears licked her lips in excitement "I won't show mercy."
A girl with brown hair nodded at what the black hair girl said in a monotone voice "Hm…"
The girl that first spoke said as she has long blonde hair and blue eyes "We've been waiting for your orders, my lords."
In a different part of the city many girls wearing similar outfits to the others were all waiting for the moment to start the operation. The first man just smiles.
"Perfect."
"You say that but you don't even understand what's happening! God damn, little brother. Well, I was blessed with a new life and in a new world, no less. A complete ISEKAI. And I've gotten everything I need to be strong, especially…"
"Power…"
The first figure smiles excitedly at the second without the girls knowing, before looking down.
"There's only one thing we want to reach... let's go…"
"Hearing him, he and a few other girls jump immediately, with the first figure staying behind a bit."
"Lord Shadow doesn't waste any time, does he now?"
"Let's go, please! We'll miss the hunt!"
"Indeed. I feel kind of excited for this."
"The other member looked at them and clapped her hands."
"I understand each of you. And I believe it's time, right...Lord Kaiser."
The second man named Kaiser doesn't look back, however, his figure changed. He becomes surrounded by shadows and slime-like substance, before his outfit changes..
"Let's go."
As the figures jump the man looks down, before saying one thing.
"Come forth."
His shadow begins to expand, as multiple monsters start to come out of him, and from the shadows of the girls displayed in the city and many other places. He landed on a giant shadow dragon, and he soars in the sky along with the rest of his group.
"This time. I'll make it. I will protect humanity at all costs, using every bit of my strength. I'll become... humanities hope and Hero!"
