Chapter 122: No, I Need to Reduce My Loitering

After returning home, it was still early, and Shen Que felt that he couldn't slack off on training the eggplant, so he took it out to continue the training.

Meng Ci, on the other hand, entered the space, wanting to check on the snow that had accumulated there.

The infinite soil was in the northwest corner, while this time, the snow had automatically piled up in the northeast corner.

"Wow!"

Seeing the snow inside the space, Meng Ci couldn't help but exclaim.

He had only placed a few blocks of snow in the space, how did it turn into a snow mountain?

Calling it a snow mountain might be an exaggeration.

It was about five meters high and three meters in radius, resembling a half-cone stacked in the northeast corner.

Meng Ci was delighted.

He had been worried about not having enough snow, but now he shouldn't have to worry anymore.

The question was, whether this snow was as infinite as the soil and water in the space.

To test this hypothesis, Meng Ci brought over a new shovel and scooped two shovelfuls into a basin.

Sure enough, the snow pile quickly restored its previous completeness.

Meng Ci was very satisfied; he finally wouldn't have to worry about being heat-stroked during extreme heat.

However, Meng Ci thought about the mound of soil a kilometer away.

Compared to the snow mountain, the soil mound seemed rather small.

Meng Ci pondered for a moment. Could it be that he hadn't put enough soil into the space before?

So, Meng Ci decided to find more soil and put it into the space to see if the soil mound could grow larger.

The eggplants in the space had grown, so Meng Ci brought over a basin, picked a large bag, and also gathered a bag of other vegetables.

The watermelons planted on the ground had already borne fruit, now about the size of a fist, and would ripen in a couple of days.

Meng Ci began to plan in his mind: the watermelons could be juiced or made into watermelon ice cream...

At the fruit area, Meng Ci took a banana, peeled it, and started eating.

After wandering around for a bit, Meng Ci pulled out a basket, filling it with grapes.

Together with the vegetables in his hands, Meng Ci brought everything out of the space.

Compared to grapes, Meng Ci preferred grapes without seeds.

Although they had many seeds, they didn't need to be peeled.

So when he bought them initially, he only got twenty baskets of grapes.

As for seedless grapes, he bought fifty baskets at once.

Exiting the space, Meng Ci washed a bunch of seedless grapes and sat on the sofa, eating several in a row.

Checking the time on his phone, he realized he had spent half an hour in the space this time.

He then recorded it in the electronic spreadsheet on his phone.

Looking at the accumulated time in the spreadsheet, Meng Ci sighed.

Every twenty-four hours, the space could accumulate one hour.

In recent days, Meng Ci had spent a lot of time entering the space to plant vegetables and take showers.

Especially after each session with Shen Que, he had to spend half an hour in the space to bathe and relieve his fatigue.

Sometimes, when it was too cold, Meng Ci would even enter the space to change clothes.

Now, the accumulated time was just over seventy hours, which was about three days.

It seemed he needed to reduce the time he spent in the space from now on.

Looking at the reasons for the time consumption recorded on his phone, Meng Ci sighed again.

It seemed he needed to reduce the sessions with Shen Que, so he wouldn't have to take baths, saving half an hour each time.

The reason Meng Ci was so concerned about the time in the space was that he remembered, before the extreme cold ended, there would be five days when the temperature would drop to minus seventy degrees Celsius.

Currently, it was only minus fifty degrees, and sometimes Meng Ci couldn't stand the cold at midnight if there was no fire in the kang (a traditional Chinese bed).

Let alone minus seventy degrees.

So from the beginning, Meng Ci had planned to save at least six days' worth of time to stay in the space during that period.

Today was February 25th, and the minus seventy-degree period would be from June 20th to June 25th.

Meng Ci started calculating: from now until June 20th, there were 114 days left.

Three days' worth of time would require 72 hours.

Meng Ci's eyes lit up. With this calculation, he still had time to take half-hour baths!

That meant he could continue fooling around with Shen Que.

With this thought, Meng Ci felt content.

Since the atmosphere had been set, why not make it happen tonight?

With this in mind, Meng Ci took out a bottle of red wine from his spatial pocket, followed by two steaks he bought in the United States, two plates of black pepper cream chicken pasta, a bowl of shrimp bisque, and a slice of pumpkin pie.

Thanks to the preservation function of the spatial pocket, the food came out as fresh as if it had just been cooked.

However, after checking the portions, Meng Ci felt that it might not be enough for two people, so he took out two bowls of braised eggplant with rice and placed them on the stove.

Moving the dining table to the balcony, Meng Ci arranged the dishes on it.

He then took out two candle holders and six candles from his spatial pocket, lighting each one.

Meng Ci naturally didn't forget about the other utensils and wine glasses.

The only regret was that he couldn't fold napkin flowers; otherwise, he would have made two.

With the atmosphere set, Meng Ci checked the time—it was almost five o'clock, and Shen Que's training session should be over.

Thus, Meng Ci took out two fish, two boxes of rice, and a bowl of braised pork, pouring them into the dog's food bowl.

Then he turned off the lights in the room and sat down in a chair, waiting for Shen Que.

Bang.

The security door opened.

"Xiao Ci, is there no diesel in the generator?"

Shen Que closed the door and, hearing no response from Meng Ci, became worried.

Could it be that the room was too airtight, causing Meng Ci to suffer from carbon dioxide poisoning?

With this thought, Shen Que quickened his pace.

Upon entering, he saw Meng Ci's face, illuminated by the flickering candlelight, but those eyes looking at him shone brightly.

"Xiao Ci."

The dog caught the scent of the food and ran happily to its bowl, eating quickly.

Shen Que walked slowly toward Meng Ci, stopping two steps away from the table.

"What is this?" Shen Que asked softly.

Meng Ci stood up, walked to Shen Que, and extended a hand.

"This is our world for two."

Shen Que placed his hand in Meng Ci's, allowing Meng Ci to lead him to his seat.

Picking up the wine bottle, Meng Ci poured a glass for each of them before returning to his own seat.

"Shen Que, do you like it?"

Meng Ci thought it was a good thing it was night, or Shen Que would have surely noticed the blush on his face.

"I like it," Shen Que said honestly.

Hearing this, Meng Ci felt happy.

After drinking the wine, the two began to enjoy their meal.

The flickering candlelight cast a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the room.

As time passed, the candles gradually burned down.

But the two figures who had been sitting opposite each other at the table somehow found themselves leaning closer together, their shadows intertwining on the curtains.

Muffled yet joyful sounds filled the air, mingling with soft moans.

The dog, curled up in its bed, covered its ears and whimpered softly.

Its master was being bullied again, but it didn't dare to intervene.

That cold-faced guy was really going too far; tomorrow during training, it would make sure to give him a hard time.
