Ron and Rocks clashed violently several times, their blows shaking the ground beneath them. After exchanging a few powerful attacks, both fighters suddenly stopped.
Without saying anything, they moved toward a more secluded area of Beehive Island, away from the others.
Ron stretched his arms with a grin on his face.
"Bahahaha… Rocks, let's see how strong you really are."
Rocks observed Ron carefully before letting out a quiet sigh.
"Is that your full height?" he asked calmly. "Looks like you're still a young giant."
His words carried deeper meaning.
The legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf, the Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Model: Níðhöggr, was said to only reveal its true power when used by a fully matured Ancient Giant.
Because of that, Rocks had originally assumed Ron might be searching for it.
Ron immediately understood what Rocks was hinting at.
However, he had never been interested in that fruit.
A massive body only created a larger target in battle.
That was exactly why Ron preferred fighting in his human-sized form.
Ron grinned confidently.
"Stop wasting time."
"Let's dance."
His body quickly shrank down to around two meters tall.
In the next moment, Ron launched forward.
"Fist Bone: Impact!"
Rocks laughed loudly as he swung his sword to meet the attack.
"Come then!"
Ron's fist collided with Rocks' blade.
The moment they touched, black lightning erupted everywhere as their Armament Haki clashed violently.
From a distance, Newgate, Shiki, Linlin, Stussy, Captain John, Ochoku, and Silver Axe watched the fight unfold.
Above the battlefield, Ron and Rocks continued exchanging attacks at incredible speed.
Sword met fist repeatedly, each clash producing bursts of black lightning.
Their movements were so fast that ordinary pirates couldn't even follow them.
Ron smirked even as he was slowly pushed backward.
At that moment, his Lunarian flames extinguished, increasing his speed dramatically.
He welcomed the pressure.
For Ron, this fight was exactly what he wanted.
Rocks had not even started using Conqueror's Haki infusion yet.
Still, Ron's Haki, which had stagnated for years, suddenly began evolving during the battle.
He was finally learning Ryuo, the emission form of Armament Haki.
Soon, their attacks stopped making direct contact.
Their fist and sword hovered slightly apart as the air between them exploded violently.
Black lightning spread across the battlefield.
Rocks laughed loudly.
"Vohahaha! Good!"
"You've learned the emission level of Armament Haki."
His grin widened.
"Now let's see if you can grasp internal destruction."
Ron immediately unleashed everything he had refined during his years sparring with Garp.
"Fist Bone: Impact!"
"Iron Fist!"
"Destruction!"
"Clash!"
His punches came one after another with terrifying force.
However, Rocks calmly met every single attack head-on with his sword.
His Haki was stronger, and his swordsmanship far superior.
Ron was constantly pushed backward.
Realizing this, Ron suddenly spread his wings and flew high into the sky.
From above, he launched a new attack.
"Fist Bone: Meteorite Shower!"
A rain of cannonballs appeared from his inventory and fell toward the island like a meteor storm.
But Ron didn't stop there.
More cannonballs appeared in his hands as he coated them with Lunarian flames.
"Fist Bone: Meteorite Shower!"
The second barrage burned like falling meteors.
Rocks' mouth twitched in irritation.
"You bastard… are you trying to Buster Call my island?"
He turned toward Newgate.
"Newgate!"
Newgate burst into laughter.
"Gurarararara!"
He swung his fist forward.
The air cracked like shattered glass, and powerful vibrations spread outward.
Every cannonball detonated in midair as the shockwaves crushed them instantly.
Even the sea itself was pushed back by the force.
Ron snorted in annoyance.
"Tsk."
"Fine then."
He clenched his fist tightly.
"Take this."
"This ends the battle."
Rocks' grin widened as Conqueror's Haki suddenly coated his sword.
Black lightning exploded around him.
Ron dove down from the sky at full speed.
His Lunarian flames condensed around his right fist, merging with his Armament Haki.
Using all his strength, he launched his strongest attack.
"Fire Dragon's Flaming Fist!"
Rocks swung his sword upward.
For a brief moment, the two attacks reached a stalemate.
Then Rocks' blade suddenly cut through the flaming fist.
The sword continued forward and slashed across Ron's body.
A deep cut appeared across Ron's chest.
The impact sent him flying upward before he lost consciousness midair.
Rocks leapt up and grabbed him before he could crash.
He then landed back on the ground while holding Ron's unconscious body.
Rocks looked at the young giant, still in his two-meter form, and grinned widely.
"Treat him as a new cadre of the Rocks Pirates."
Everyone nearby was stunned.
The boy had become a cadre the moment he joined.
However, no one questioned Rocks.
His words were absolute.
Newgate laughed deeply.
"Gurararara… looks like you like that kid a lot, Rocks."
Linlin stepped forward while staring at Ron's unconscious body.
"Mamamama… a kid with Lunarian blood—"
"Linlin."
Rocks' voice turned cold.
"Stay away from him until he wakes up."
Linlin pouted in annoyance but eventually nodded.
"Fine."
Still, her eyes gleamed with interest.
She was confident in her beauty.
Once Ron woke up, she could always try to seduce him into giving her a powerful child.
Rocks suddenly burst into loud laughter.
"Vohahahahaha!"
"Let's have a party!"
"We've just gained another monster!"
