Chapter 52 - Loyalty!

Although the emergence of such a gargantuan Danger Beast shocked Cerydra and Hysilens, they reconsidered—in the original story's final battle, Esdeath was capable of summoning a thousand-meter ice wall to encircle the Imperial Capital. Perhaps this wasn't so exaggerated after all?

Even the Empire's mad scientist, Dr. Stylish, could create monsters hundreds of meters tall. Thus, the existence of a Super Class Danger Beast measuring several thousand meters was within the realm of understanding.

Then there was Seryu's canine Teigu, which possessed the ability to alter its size and even store an arsenal within its body. While its limits were unknown, it was already extraordinary.

In any case, every single one of these Imperial Arms—and even some of the Shingu—were abnormal entities. As the raw material for such weapons, a Super Class Danger Beast was bound to be an extraordinary creature.

"No wonder they could craft such a bizarre variety of Teigu. It seems these Super Class Danger Beasts are treasures from head to toe!"

"I originally planned to take you as a mount, but now... I'm sorry. I cannot gamble with the lives of my warriors!"

In Amphoreus, a crisis of total annihilation loomed; Imperator had to forcibly integrate every scrap of power to resist the destruction of that world.

But in the world of Akame ga Kill, there was no apocalypse—only a swarm of insects fighting over power and profit. Most people posed zero threat to the two Demigods; only this sudden prehistoric behemoth could truly challenge them.

In that moment, Cerydra saw clearly.

If she wanted to conquer this Giant Dragon and force its absolute submission, she would clearly have to pay a staggering price.

Cerydra had consumed a vast amount of her own Golden Blood to create nearly 800 Chrysos Heirs. If those eight hundred were wiped out in this single battle, she would consider it a catastrophic loss.

Loyal subordinates were not so easily found!

Furthermore, it wasn't even certain if this dragon could be tamed.

After weighing the pros and cons, Cerydra abandoned the idea of subjugating the dragon. She issued a command to all Chrysos Heirs:

"Assisting each other while prioritizing your own survival, attack the dragon! Slay it here and leave no future threats!"

"By your command!"

The Chess Pieces created by the Authority of Law had already integrated into the bodies of every Chrysos Heir. Imperator's voice naturally resonated in everyone's ears.

However, these Chess Pieces were more than just communication devices; they granted the integrated Chrysos Heirs unprecedented empowerment.

Just like in a game, the pieces not only boosted their raw strength but also accumulated power as the Chrysos Heirs attacked. Once the moment was ripe, this stored energy would erupt, allowing the warrior to unleash an even more devastating strike!

At this moment, every Chrysos Heir was shrouded in a blue radiance, and the fervor in their eyes reached its peak.

They had already been won over by Imperator in their previous battle and had sworn their souls to become Chrysos Heirs. And now... Imperator had granted them even greater power?

Lady Imperator was truly generous!

As warriors under her command, there were only two words they could offer in return:

Loyalty!

"KILL—!"

The roar of the warriors was deafening, displaying a level of killing intent and morale that surpassed anything seen before. An army possessed of such will could likely defeat even the Empire's ace units.

Unfortunately, the enemy the Chrysos Heirs faced this time was not human, but a legendary Super Class Danger Beast. Within those massive pupils, there was still nothing but contempt.

No matter how strong these ants were, in the dragon's eyes, the relationship was merely that of a human and a spider. Even if a human might be startled by a spider, a single strike with a shoe would still crush it. That was the absolute gap in power!

The dragon extended its sharp claws, much like a human reaching for a shoe to deliver a lethal blow, intending to clear all obstacles before it.

The strength of the Chrysos Heirs had certainly been enhanced, and they were able to carve wounds into the dragon's hide. But even as it suffered the onslaught of 800 warriors, the dragon's movements did not falter.

This was inevitable. They had only become Chrysos Heirs recently; while they possessed impressive strength, it all depended on the point of comparison.

Compared to ordinary soldiers, they were undoubtedly absolute powerhouses. But compared to a Super Class Danger Beast, there was simply no contest.

Thus, among everyone present, only two and a half people could truly pose a threat to the dragon.

Two and a half!

The first was Cerydra.

Since Her Majesty the Empress could bestow her power upon others, she could just as easily bestow it upon herself—and even receive a portion of the feedback from the Chrysos Heirs.

A massive phantom of a Scepter manifested above Cerydra's head. The giant gemstone atop the spectral scepter erupted with a blinding blue light.

In the next second, the colossal Scepter smashed directly onto the dragon's head, slamming the rising beast back into the earth. Its head crashed violently into the ground, kicking up massive plumes of snow.

"Truly worthy of a dragon—and one of dual Earth and Fire attributes at that. Its defense is incredible!"

Even Cerydra couldn't help but marvel. Although the thought of taming it still flickered in her mind, doing so would necessitate the sacrifice of her Chrysos Heirs.

An unpredictable beast versus 800 powerful warriors loyal to her... the choice of which held more weight was obvious.

"Strike now, while we have the chance!"

This sudden strike directly interrupted the dragon's original plan and created an opening for the others.

Hysilens' ghost-like figure suddenly appeared, arriving right beside the dragon's ear. She was the second person capable of dealing real damage.

However, Hysilens did not call upon the power of the ocean this time.

Through prior observation, the girl had already discovered the dragon's habits. Because of the lava and extreme heat it carried, the dragon was forced to use seawater and snowy mountains to cool itself down.

If Hysilens used the power of the sea to attack, it might cause some damage, but it would more likely feel like a comfortable spa treatment for the beast. Thus, she avoided any water-related abilities.

But as a Siren, Hysilens possessed another racial talent: her song!

In Amphoreus, Hysilens had tried to use the Nihility of her song to influence Lygus, but Lygus was the Administrator and was completely immune.

But this world was different. The world of Akame ga Kill was not the Emperor's Scepter, and there were no Administrators here. Therefore, the power of Nihility was bound to be effective!

Utilizing the Authority of the Ocean Demigod, Hysilens floated in mid-air and unleashed the "Siren's Song" with all her might, imbuing it with an unprecedented power of Nihility.

Since Cerydra had already learned through previous attacks that physical means were largely ineffective, she had directed Hysilens to launch a mental assault.

"Your body may be hard, but can your spirit match it?"

Almost the instant the song began, the expression on the dragon's face shifted. A deep sense of disbelief flickered within its pupils.

It was a mental attack!

Sensing something was wrong, the dragon began to struggle frantically, its four limbs clawing at the ground in an attempt to break free from the Scepter's suppression.

But in this final moment, the remaining "half" person capable of harming the dragon appeared: Esdeath!

Though the girl's raw damage was limited, now that she was bolstered by the Authority of Law, her frost-laden Enchanted Ice was enough to restrict the dragon's movements.

Neck, tail, limbs... wherever the beast tried to exert force, Esdeath's ice would snap around it like a shackle, using maximum strength to pin it to the ground.

The rest of the Chrysos Heirs also began to use their power to assist the trio, doing their utmost to limit the dragon's mobility.

But the true moment of victory rested on Hysilens...

Whether Nihility could swallow the dragon depended on whether the "Ocean" was strong enough!

Meanwhile, at the Northern Kingdom Capital.

Najenda and the nine other Chrysos Heirs looked down at the Imperial Army beneath the city walls with grave expressions.

"Everyone, the time has come to show our 'Loyalty'!"
