Inside, Corelia heard the faint sound of the door locking behind her, she paused for a brief moment but she wasn't scared. Instead, she continued walking deeper into the building.
The air inside felt cold and heavy, dust covered almost everything. Each step she took echoed loudly, as though the building had been silent for far too long.
Old broken furniture lay scattered around, covered in thick layers of dirt. The wooden floors creaked beneath her feet.
The sound stretched into the darkness like distant whispers, the silence here wasn't peaceful.
It felt… watchful.
Like something unseen was paying attention to her every move. She stopped walking, she knew perfectly well she wasn't alone.
"I know you're here," she said calmly, her voice steady.
For a moment, nothing happened.
"Show yourself now, finding you myself would mean torture". She added again.
Still nothing but after a few seconds, suddenly— A figure appeared in front of her.
A female ghost, whose skin was pale and gloomy, her eyes hollow and her mouth stretched wide as she let out a loud, terrifying shriek, clearly expecting fear but Corelia didn't even flinch.
Instead, she tilted her head slightly, looked at the spirit… unimpressed as though disappointed. Then she shook her head.
"I'm really not interested in your story. Leave."
The ghost froze.
Confused.
No one had ever reacted like that before.
Corelia walked past her calmly, completely uninterested.
A few moments later, she stopped again, sensing the spirit still following her.
She turned slowly.
"I said leave," she repeated, her tone calm but firm. Her eyes darkened slightly.
"Or I will use the Nightshade Light."
The threat was serious
Nightshade Light–A punishment feared among spirits, well known to trap souls preventing them from ever reaching the afterlife. It was fate worse than destruction.
After hearing this, the ghost vanished instantly.
Silence returned once more.
Corelia continued walking deeper into the building, her senses alert. She still could not figure out who sent her that letter and why they wanted her here and before she could even think any further —the
shadow behind her was back again.
She stopped, annoyed at the presence and turned sharply.
"Didn't I tell you to—"
A sudden blast of red light struck her violently before she could finish speaking. The impact was so powerful and brutal it sent her body flying across the room, crashing hard into several old wooden tables covered in dust.
The tables shattered instantly from the force. Wood splintered everywhere.
Pain shot through her entire body.
She coughed, a small trace of blood staining her lips as she forced herself up.
Her eyes lifted slowly toward the source of the attack. There was no way a mere ghost possessed that kind of power.
When she finally saw what stood in the shadows…
Shock flashed across her face.
Corelia pushed herself up slowly, ignoring the sharp pain spreading through her body. Dust clung to her clothes as broken wood shifted because of her weight.
Her eyes lifted toward the figure standing in the darkness.
For a brief second, her breath stopped.
Shock flickered across her face.
Standing before her was something she had never expected to encounter in this world.
A Noctyra.
Creatures like this were never supposed to exist here.
Noctyra were born from concentrated evil magic — not summoned, not created by ordinary spells, but formed when dark energy gathered for too long without control. They were not fully alive, yet not completely spirit either..
They were predators, minions of corruption. Their bodies resembled living shadows, unstable and shifting, as if darkness itself struggled to hold shape. Their eyes glowed with a dim but terrifying light, piercing through the dark like embers burning in endless night.
Noctyra did not simply attack.
They fed.
They drained life force, consuming human energy slowly, leaving their victims weak, hollow… empty. The longer one stayed near them, the heavier their body felt, as if their very existence was being pulled away piece by piece.
The worst part was—once a Noctyra marked its prey, it rarely stopped hunting.
Seeing one here was impossible, which meant only one thing.nSomeone had brought it here.
Corelia's real eyes appeared, bright blue. It glowed in the dark, her mermaid blood reacted instantly to danger, ancient power awakening within her veins. The glow grew stronger, reflecting the rising energy gathering around her, she was about to use a dangerous amount of magic.
Far away in the music room, Mishell suddenly froze mid-step. Her chest tightened sharply, pain stabbing through her heart like a warning signal.
Her green eyes glowed instantly. The connection between them pulsed urgently, It lasted less than a second but it was enough.
Corelia was in danger.
Back in the abandoned building, the Noctyra moved first. Its shadow-like arm stretched unnaturally, slashing toward Corelia with terrifying speed.
This time, she was ready.
She dodged quickly, her movements swift and fluid, barely making a sound as she shifted aside. Blue light gathered in her palm, shimmering like water under moonlight.
She struck..
The burst of magic hit the creature, distorting its shadowy form. The Noctyra let out a distorted screech, its body flickering violently as if struggling to remain stable.
Then suddenly—It fled.
Its form slipping quickly through the darkness.
Corelia didn't hesitate.
She chased after it immediately, fast. Faster than human eyes could follow.
She ran through the abandoned structure, out into the night, her senses focused only on the creature's presence. Nothing else mattered, branches scraped lightly against her skin as she pushed forward, small cuts forming across her arms without her noticing.
As her speed increased, her power surged.
Soon the surroundings blurred and she was totally not conscious of the environment.
She leapt over a tall fence effortlessly, landing on the other side without slowing down. She didn't even know where she was anymore, all that mattered was catching the Noctyra.
Then suddenly— Her foot slipped.
Her body dropped. A loud splash echoed as she fell straight into a pool.
Cold water surrounded her instantly.
Meanwhile Inside the Q4 apartment, the atmosphere was the complete opposite.
Laughter filled the space. Music played softly in the background as the group relaxed, joking about random topics.
"You still owe me food," Jeremy said casually.
"I never agreed to that". Jax replied quickly.
"You ate my snacks."
"That was survival."
"You ate everything!"
"He is always doing that, never trust Jax with your food". Foxy added.
"You all are ganging up against me". Jax replied, standing up from his seat.
Before the argument could continue—
A loud splash echoed from outside.
Everyone froze.
They exchanged confused looks.
"Did you hear that?". Vic asked, slowly getting up from his seat to take a look outside.
"That definitely came from the pool." Foxy added.
Slowly, the rest stood and walked toward the glass doors.
"What is going on?"
"Please don't tell me something fell inside…" Jeremy finally said.
They all stepped outside carefully, slowly walking towards the pool. Before they got close a girl broke from the water surface. Her long blue hair clung to her back, completely soaked. Her clothes stuck to her skin, outlining her perfect figure, she was still in the middile of the pool looking confused and startled at the sight.
She looked… unreal.
Beautiful.
But clearly not supposed to be there.
None of them spoke for a moment, confusion filled their expressions.
"Crazy fans I guess".
"How did she even get in here or get past the securities?"
"Who is she?"
Jax suddenly frowned slightly, like he was trying to remember her face.
"Isn't she the girl from the dance class?"
