Chapter 17 - THE NIGHT WEREWOLF

In a quiet village surrounded by thick, whispering forests, people believed the night had its own soul. And within that soul… lived something ancient.

They called it The Night Werewolf.

No one had seen it clearly. Only glimpses—two glowing eyes in the darkness, a shadow moving faster than the wind, and a howl so deep it made the earth tremble.

🌒 The Boy Who Didn't Believe

A boy named Aarav never believed these stories.

"To be scared of shadows is foolish," he would say.

But one evening, everything changed.

It was a full moon night. The sky looked unusually bright, and the forest seemed alive. Aarav, determined to prove everyone wrong, stepped into the woods alone.

At first, nothing happened.

Only the sound of dry leaves…

The wind brushing past trees…

And then—

A low growl.

🌕 The First Encounter

Aarav froze.

From behind the trees, two glowing red eyes appeared. Slowly, a massive figure stepped forward—a creature taller than any man, covered in dark fur, its claws shining under the moonlight.

It wasn't just a beast.

It felt… aware.

The Night Werewolf.

But instead of attacking, it just stared at Aarav. Its eyes weren't full of rage… they were full of pain.

Then suddenly, it turned and disappeared into the shadows.

🌑 The Secret of the Curse

The next day, Aarav couldn't stop thinking about it. Why didn't it attack?

He searched for answers and found an old man who knew the truth.

"Long ago," the old man said,

"the Night Werewolf was once a human—a guardian of the forest. But he was cursed to transform every full moon. He does not hunt for pleasure… he fights the monster within himself."

Aarav realized something:

The creature wasn't evil.

It was trapped.

🌘 The Choice

The next full moon, Aarav returned.

This time, the werewolf appeared again—angrier, struggling, almost losing control.

Aarav stepped forward, even as fear gripped his heart.

"I know you're still human," he said.

For a moment, the werewolf roared… raising its claws…

Then stopped.

Its glowing eyes softened.

And for the first time, a single tear fell from the beast's face.

🌙 The Ending… or Beginning?

That night, the forest remained silent.

Some say Aarav broke the curse.

Others say he became the next guardian.

But even today, when the moon is full, villagers still hear a distant howl.

Not of a monster…

But of a protector.

The night Aarav met the creature should have ended the fear.

But it didn't.

Because something far worse was coming.

🌒 The Strange Change

Days passed, yet Aarav felt… different.

His senses sharpened.

He could hear whispers from far away.

He could smell rain before clouds even formed.

And at night, he felt a strange pull toward the forest.

Like something was calling him.

🌕 The Return to the Forest

When the next full moon rose, Aarav couldn't resist.

He walked into the forest again.

But this time… it wasn't silent.

The wind roared.

The trees shook violently.

And the moon—

It wasn't white.

It was red.

A Blood Moon.

🩸 The Truth Revealed

A deep growl echoed.

The Night Werewolf appeared again—but now it looked weaker, as if its strength was fading.

The old man's words suddenly made sense:

"The curse does not end… it transfers."

Aarav stepped back in shock.

"No… that means—"

Before he could finish, a sharp pain shot through his body.

His heartbeat thundered.

His bones felt like they were breaking.

He fell to the ground, screaming.

🌘 The Transformation

His hands twisted.

Claws emerged.

His vision turned red.

Aarav was becoming… the next Night Werewolf.

The old werewolf slowly approached him—not as a monster, but as a guide.

For a moment, both stood face to face—

the past… and the future.

Then the old werewolf howled one last time.

And vanished into dust under the Blood Moon.

The curse had chosen Aarav.

🌑 The First Night of Power

Aarav stood up.

Stronger. Faster. Different.

But also… struggling.

Voices echoed in his head.

A wild instinct tried to take control.

Run. Hunt. Destroy.

But Aarav clenched his fists.

"No… I won't lose myself."

🌙 The Hidden Enemy

Suddenly—

A scream came from the village.

Aarav's ears twitched. He ran faster than the wind and reached the village in seconds.

But what he saw shocked him.

This wasn't normal danger.

Dark shadow-like creatures—twisted and unnatural—were attacking people.

The old werewolf hadn't been cursed randomly.

He was protecting the village from something worse.

And now… that responsibility was Aarav's.

⚔️ The First Battle

The shadows lunged.

Aarav reacted instantly.

With one powerful strike, he pushed them back. His strength was beyond human.

But every time he fought…

The beast inside him grew stronger.

The more he used his power…

the closer he came to losing control.

🌘 The Inner War

After the battle, Aarav stood alone.

The village was safe.

But inside him, the war had just begun.

Was he still Aarav?

Or just a monster pretending to be human?

🌕 The Whisper in the Dark

As the moon began to fade, a voice echoed in his mind—

"You are only the beginning…"

Aarav looked up at the sky.

The Blood Moon slowly disappeared.

But he knew one thing now:

This curse…

was part of something much bigger.

Next soon....
