[RAY VILLAGE]
[Next Day]
"The system's map no longer works here…but I think we are in the right place. I see a village up ahead." Wain said in a soft voice.
"Wait. Something feels wrong here. Let me go up ahead." Percy suggested.
With cat-like finesse, he quickly made his way through the trees…his presence concealed like a ghost.
FWAP!!!
FWAP!!!
FWAP!!!
Three arrows whistled through the air in rapid succession. Percy expertly dodged two arrows and blocked the third with his knife. He disappeared for a second then reappeared close to his party.
"What was that?" Kristan asked.
"Sniper…on the palisade wall. A good one." Percy said somewhat shocked that the archer spotted him from that distance. Only a highly skilled archer with a trained eye could manage that.

"Sir Kay, what are you firing at? I don't see anything." Princess Elencia whispered.
Upon hearing about the dire situation facing the village, she decided to help with security against the elder's protests. As the Princess of Camarax and ruler of the land including Ray village, she felt honor bound to defend the village and its people.
"An assassin…and a good one. He dodged my arrows like they were toys and even blocked one with his knife." Kay said surprised and slightly offended.
"My knights and I were ambushed by a group of assassins…it's possible he is one of them." The Princess added.
"This could get dangerous, you better step back." Kay warned.
"No, I refuse. These assassins killed my men in cold blood. I will have their honor restored." The princess said as she unsheathed her sword.
[…]
"I will lead the attack. I can block a million arrows easy." Kristan said with confidence.
"No, you will die. All of you will die before making it a hundred feet from the wall. This sniper is no joke. He will pinpoint even the slightest opening in your armor and dismantle you before you can even let out a scream." Percy said in a serious tone.
He continued, "I will handle the sniper…once I engage him, you three storm the wall. Given the aggression, it's clear they are hostile and probably attacked and captured Arthos."
Percy activated a stealth skill and expertly moved forward without a sound…not even the rustle of leaves. He moved from tree to tree concealing his presence.
FWAP!!!
FWAP!!!
FWAP!!!
Arrows flew in what appeared to be random directions…however, upon closer inspection it was evident each arrow was expertly aimed at an invisible target.
Percy accelerated his pace only to be met with a tempest of arrows each flying faster and faster. Retreat was no longer an option, and hiding was useless, his only option was to rush forward. Dropping the stealth, Percy equipped his twin daggers and raced forward.
FWAP!!!
FWAP!!! FWAP!!!
FWAP!!! FWAP!!! FWAP!!!
Percy rolled on the ground, blocked three arrows then continued his sprint. Dodging and weaving, blocking and deflecting the hailstorm of arrows.
Meanwhile, Kay realized that against an assassin such as this, the best strategy was numbers rather than perfect aim. He started shotting 4-5 arrows at the same time, each with less slightly accuracy but still incredibly lethal. Faster and faster, he released arrows predicting and anticipating the assassin's next move.
'Damn…he is good. At this rate I will be torn to shreds. I have no choice then.' Percy thought to himself.
He unequipped his twin daggers and in their place, he equipped throwing knives. Running at top speed, he continued to dodge, block and deflect arrows…he found a small opening and hurled a dozen throwing knives in quick succession.
THUMP
THUMP
THUMP
The archer blocked the knives with his arrows but in the process was momentarily forced to redirect his attention away from the assassin.
"I got you," Percy said as he jumped into the air, twin daggers equipped, inches away from the archer.
