Haelyn continued to struggle under the increasingly heavy downpour. Even though Beatrice's palm pressed against her mouth with all her might, moans and incoherent mumbling still escaped through the gaps between her fingers. Her eyes widened in terror as she stared at Beatrice, who stood right in front of her.
"Security! Hurry over here and drag this woman away!" Beatrice shouted, her voice cutting through the roar of the rain. Her voice was shrill, filled with anger and panic she was trying to hide.
Two security guards in dark uniforms immediately ran through the rain from the front post. They immediately grabbed Haelyn's arms, forcing her fingers to release their grip on Beatrice's wrists. Haelyn shook her head wildly, refusing to be taken away.
"Let go! There's no child! Beatrice told me to do it! She planned it all!" Haelyn rambled amidst her hysterical sobs. "That room… that contract… I haven't been paid yet!"
