Behind them—
the Abyss gate pulsed again.
Shapes began emerging from the fog.
More monsters.
Several of them.
Jin threw the dagger to Min Ji again.
Min Ji rolled her shoulders.
"Well…"
Her grin widened.
"Now this feels like a party."
The first creature lunged.
She ducked under its claws and drove the dagger into its throat.
Blood sprayed.
The monster collapsed.
Another rushed her.
She kicked its knee sideways.
CRACK.
Bone snapped.
Jin moved at the same time.
A dagger appeared from his inventory.
It flashed once.
A monster fell.
Then another.
Then another.
Within seconds—
several corpses lay across the floor.
But more continued crawling out of the gate.
Jin reached into his inventory.
Three energy stones appeared in his hand.
He tossed them to Min Ji.
"Use them."
She caught them easily.
Then he turned to William.
"We can't let it escape."
William nodded.
Min Ji crushed one stone instantly.
Energy surged through her body.
Her eyes gleamed faintly.
"Oh yeah," she laughed.
"I missed this."
The ground trembled violently.
Above them—
BOOOOM.
A massive explosion thundered.
Dust rained from the ceiling.
Far above—
In front of the warehouse—
the guard jumped from his folding chair.
"What the—?!"
The floor exploded open.
Concrete blasted outward.
The guard rushed into the warehouse.
The monster burst inside.
The guard stared.
His brain refused to process what he was seeing.
"…What the hell is that?"
The creature slowly turned its head toward him.
Its glowing eyes locked onto the only human in front of it.
The guard suddenly realized something.
He was completely alone.
And the monster's eyes were fixed directly on him.
