Su Mianmian looked at Tang Yunzheng, who was almost out of control. She knew this was something he would find hard to accept.
She suddenly found it somewhat amusing. After all, they had truly grown up together, completely innocent and without secrets. She had been so angry when Tang Yunzheng had cheated on her with Lin Jiaojiao. And now, she had cheated on Tang Yunzheng with Gu Yizhou.
"Tang Yunzheng, we're even." Tang Yunzheng didn't understand Su Mianmian's words. "What?"
Su Mianmian smiled. "You cheated on me with Lin Jiaojiao, and I cheated on you with Gu Yizhou, so I'm saying we're even. You don't need to apologize to me anymore for Lin Jiaojiao."
Tang Yunzheng felt as if a knife was being ripped out of his heart; the pain made his hands tremble. "So, you've really fallen in love with Gu Yizhou?" "Not yet."
Su Mianmian said softly, "I haven't fallen in love with him yet, and of course, there's no question of me interfering in my sister's relationship with Gu Yizhou. The real answer is, Gu Yizhou and I are married." We're married.
These words struck Tang Yunzheng like a hammer blow, leaving him feeling as if his soul had been shattered. He couldn't comprehend the literal meaning of those words. "You said you're married to Gu Yizhou? Su Mianmian, is my memory playing tricks on me? Wasn't it your sister, Su Yang, who got engaged to Gu Yizhou six months ago?" Su Mianmian lowered her head. "I won't explain the details. Just know that Gu Yizhou and I are now legally married."
"To put it more bluntly, I'm a married woman now. Your pursuit of me is actually against social morality." Tang Yunzheng didn't know how he left that milk tea shop.
He only knew that something was visibly slipping away from his life… Su Mianmian went to the concert alone. Wearing an adorable light-up headband, she was immersed in Allen's singing along with the audience.
After confessing to Tang Yunzheng, Su Mianmian felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from her heart. The thought of no longer having to endure Tang Yunzheng's pursuit and declarations of love, or having to fabricate excuses to hide her relationship with Gu Yizhou, made her feel incredibly relieved. She had to admit, Tang Yunzheng had gotten a good ticket; the seat was fantastic, allowing her to see Allen much closer. After the concert, Su Mianmian went outside the venue and called Gu Yizhou.
Gu Yizhou gave her the location of a nearby upscale club and told her to come there to find him. Su Mianmian assumed he was meeting with clients there and didn't think much of it. However, when she arrived at the private room, she was surprised to see Allen!
The man who had just been singing and dancing on stage was now sitting on the sofa opposite Gu Yizhou, holding a guitar. Having never been so close to her idol before, Su Mianmian was completely stunned, like a silly goose.
Standing there motionless, if it weren't for her big, bright eyes, anyone who didn't know better would have thought she was a statue. Gu Yizhou was charmed by the little girl's appearance and stood up to introduce them. "Allen, this is my wife, Su Mianmian."
He glanced at Su Mianmian again, about to speak, when Su Mianmian suddenly snapped out of her reverie and extended her hand to Allen. "Y-you, hello, Allen! I'm a fan of yours! You sang so well just now! I never expected to meet you here. I love all your songs!"
They shook hands, and Su Mianmian found that Allen was much more approachable than she had imagined. They chatted for a while, got an autograph, and took several photos together before reluctantly following Gu Yizhou home.
On the way home, Su Mianmian looked at the photos from every angle. "How did you know Allen? And even managed to get him to come out alone? That's amazing!" Gu Yizhou couldn't understand the little girl's excitement, only knowing that his attempt to appeal to her interests had yielded a decent result.
"We invited him to perform at the company's annual party before, I have his contact information." Su Mianmian said "Oh," which made sense. For someone of Gu Yizhou's status, getting a celebrity to perform shouldn't be a big deal for him.
"Zhizhi likes Allen too, I'm going to send her a picture to seduce her." Saying this, she took a picture and sent it to Song Zhi. Seeing that the girl hadn't paid any attention to him after asking that question, Gu Yizhou angrily snatched the photo from her hand.
"You like him that much?" Su Mianmian's eyes were only on Allen's photo, her gaze following Gu Yizhou's hand as he held it. "I've been chasing him since middle school, I really, really like him, can you give me back the photo?"
Gu Yizhou raised an eyebrow, his fingers deftly flipping the photo into his pocket. "Chasing him? Like him?" Gu Yizhou's gaze was cold, each word deliberate.
Su Mianmian finally realized that Gu Yizhou's expression was a little off. She carefully recalled her words and realized that certain words could indeed be misunderstood.
"What I mean is, following his songs, liking him, isn't the kind of liking you're thinking of, it's just the simple liking a fan has for an idol…" Gu Yizhou was finally satisfied, then glanced at the little girl who was still immersed in the joy of meeting her idol.
She really is still a child at heart. She was crying her eyes out in his arms this morning, and now she's overjoyed. Gu Yizhou tapped his fingers absently on his knee. "I already let you take a picture with your idol, shouldn't you thank me?"
Su Mianmian nodded, glancing at Gu Yizhou with innocent, rabbit-like eyes. "I should thank you, I want to sincerely thank you." Gu Yizhou raised his eyelashes slightly. "Mianmian, I'm a businesswoman, and I'm an adult. I value equality and prefer practicality."
Su Mianmian looked at Gu Yizhou, her round eyes blinking. "So, how do you want me to thank you?"
Gu Yizhou coughed, leaning slightly towards Su Mianmian. "How about…" "How about I give you the photos? I already have Allen's autograph, and I saw you chatting happily with him earlier." "Pfft!"
A suppressed laugh suddenly came from the passenger seat. Gu Yizhou glanced at Gao Ze, who immediately apologized. "I'm sorry, Mr. Gu, I… I suddenly remembered a joke I saw yesterday, and I couldn't help myself."
Gu Yizhou lowered his eyes and straightened his cuffs. "What joke? Tell me so my wife and I can have a laugh too." Gao Ze didn't have any joke; he just hadn't seen Mr. Gu cut off halfway through his sentence, and so decisively at that, so he couldn't control himself.
But now, President Gu clearly wanted to vent his frustration at being humiliated by Mrs. Gu on him. If he couldn't come up with something funny today, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle the situation.
After racking his brains for a while, Gao Ze stammered, "Well, I'll tell you then. Once upon a time, a crab went out and accidentally bumped into a loach. The loach angrily said, 'Are you blind (shrimp)?' The crab said, 'No, I'm a crab.'"
After telling the joke, Gao Ze laughed to himself, chuckling incessantly. However, the more he laughed, the more uneasy he felt. He secretly glanced at the endoscope. Su Mianmian pursed her lips, looking out the window. Gu Yizhou had a dark face and didn't say a word.
Gao Ze's lips immediately tightened. "No, not funny? Then let me tell you another one?" "So, Mantou and Mantou got married, and Mantou found Huajuan lying in their bed. Mantou asked, 'What are you doing here? Where's my wife?' Huajuan replied, 'You don't recognize me just because I got a perm!'"
This time, the air was even quieter than before. Gao Ze broke out in a cold sweat, racking his brains to see if he could keep the situation under control, when Gu Yizhou said calmly, "I do have a joke here. See if you find it funny."
Gao Ze's eyes lit up. "You're right, I have a low threshold for laughter; I find all jokes funny."
