Chapter 62: Slaying a Spirit Ancestor
He still did not believe Chen Ming truly had no background.
That purple second Spirit Ring was simply too abnormal. He refused to believe that someone without backing could hunt a Spirit Beast of that level and withstand the pressure of its spirit ring.
But when he saw Chen Ming's unwavering intent to kill, Demonic Sheep abandoned his last trace of wishful thinking. Any hope of resolving this peacefully vanished, and what remained was only his final, desperate madness.

Demonic Sheep let out a strange, twisted shriek as the four horns on his head swelled and lit up with black light. An energy sphere rapidly condensed at the tips of the horns.
Originally, this was a charging type Spirit Ability. But with the help of a special method, he forcibly shortened the charge time and released it as a beam of destructive light. The moment the Spirit Ability was activated, Demonic Sheep's Aura began to plummet sharply. His body lost even more vitality, and even the circulation of spirit power inside him became slow and disordered.
Although the first three of Demonic Sheep's Spirit Rings were below average because he had joined the cult late, his fourth Spirit Ring was of a normal age. Combined with his darkness attribute and Spirit Ancestor level cultivation, the power of this attack was still considerable.
The energy sphere did not strike Chen Ming directly. Instead, it landed near his feet and exploded.

Chen Ming lunged forward viciously and slammed a punch straight into Demonic Sheep's already sunken face. The force of the blow drove directly into Demonic Sheep's skull and knocked him flat onto the ground.

But because of the dual effects of the secret technique backlash and the overwhelming pain, that Spirit Ancestor was actually pinned down and ground into the dirt by Chen Ming. Chen Ming's fists fell like a storm, and the cracking of bones rang out one after another.

For a Spirit Grandmaster to kill a Spirit Ancestor head on was simply too shocking.
