The guard's words hung heavily in the air.
"Her real name."
Emily felt her chest tighten.
"What are you talking about?" she asked.
The guard avoided her gaze.
"You were never meant to know."
Alexander stepped forward slowly.
"Then start explaining."
The man hesitated.
His eyes moved between Alexander and Emily.
Finally he spoke again.
"The organization erased everything."
Emily's hands trembled.
"Erased what?"
"Your past."
The corridor became silent again.
Alexander frowned.
"You are saying she had another identity."
The guard nodded slowly.
"They gave her a new life."
Emily shook her head.
"No... that's impossible."
But deep inside her mind, something shifted.
