The Knight mansion was no longer silent.
It looked like a battlefield.
Broken windows.
Bullet holes in the walls.
Furniture overturned.
Several guards were still cleaning the damage left from the attack.
But inside Alexander's office—
The air felt far more dangerous.
Alexander stood beside the large window, staring into the darkness outside.
His expression was colder than anyone had ever seen before.
Daniel leaned against the desk.
"You haven't slept."
Alexander didn't answer.
Daniel sighed.
"Alexander… we'll find her."
Alexander's voice was quiet.
But terrifying.
"I know where she is."
Daniel straightened immediately.
"You do?"
Alexander placed a tablet on the desk.
A location appeared on the screen.
"Voss rebuilt the laboratory."
Daniel stared at the coordinates.
"This place was destroyed years ago."
"Yes."
Alexander's eyes darkened.
"But he rebuilt it underground."
Daniel ran a hand through his hair.
"That facility is heavily guarded."
Alexander didn't look worried.
"Good."
Daniel frowned.
"That's your response?"
Alexander turned toward him slowly.
His eyes burned with controlled rage.
"They took my wife."
Daniel sighed.
"I figured you'd say something like that."
Alexander picked up his jacket.
"Prepare the team."
Daniel raised an eyebrow.
"What team?"
Alexander's voice dropped.
"The one I never wanted to use again."
Daniel's expression changed instantly.
"You're serious?"
Alexander didn't hesitate.
"Yes."
Daniel shook his head slightly.
"If you deploy them… this will become a war."
Alexander walked toward the door.
His answer was simple.
"It already is."
Daniel followed him.
"Alexander."
He stopped.
"If we attack that facility… Voss might use Emily against us."
Alexander's jaw tightened.
"He won't."
"How can you be sure?"
Alexander looked toward the dark night outside.
His voice was filled with quiet confidence.
"Because if he hurts her…"
The temperature in the room seemed to drop.
"…I will burn his entire world to the ground."
