Chapter 30 - Youth Is Wonderful… You Can Just Lie Down and Fall Asleep

Kairo narrowed his eyes as he looked at the figure floating on the sea.

Even Stelly had been sent flying here. And earlier, bodies had been raining from the sky nonstop.

That alone proved something.

Inside the royal capital of the Goa Kingdom, the royal family and nobles had almost certainly been wiped out by Da Hong and Droopy.

More importantly, there had also been a Celestial Dragon in the kingdom.

With how arrogant and untouchable those people acted, Kairo was almost certain of one thing.

Right now, that Celestial Dragon was probably lying somewhere on the ground… in several different colors.

Which meant one thing.

Da Hong and Droopy's actions would absolutely trigger a massive manhunt by the World Government.

And if that happened—

He would inevitably get dragged into it.

"Ugh…"

Just imagining a future where Marines and bounty hunters chased him across the seas gave Kairo a headache.

If he had known things would turn out like this, he never would have complained to the System about not having strong fighters.

Now look at this.

He had no interest in fighting or conquering anything…

Yet in the future, battles were probably unavoidable.

"Youth really is wonderful."

After a long sigh, Kairo looked again at Stelly's corpse drifting on the waves.

He reached out and lightly patted Green Rabbit on the shoulder.

"Look at him. Just lying down and falling asleep like that. What incredible sleep quality."

Green Rabbit blinked.

"Boss… he didn't fall asleep."

"He's dead."

Kairo slowly turned his head toward Green Rabbit.

The corner of his mouth twitched.

A character from the joyful dimension… and he didn't understand humor?

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, Kairo's pupils shrank.

A vision flashed before his eyes.

In that vision—

A figure wearing the coat of a Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral dropped from the sky and slammed straight onto the deck of his ship.

"…You've got to be kidding me."

Kairo burst out laughing.

"Even Garp got punched into the sky?"

Although he had no idea exactly what had happened in the Goa Kingdom capital, he could easily imagine Garp's face when Da Hong launched him flying.

Despair.

Shock.

Disbelief.

The Hero of the Marines, a Vice Admiral who had terrorized pirates across the Grand Line for decades…

Sent flying by a rabbit.

If news of that spread, the whole world would explode.

"Time to go, time to go!"

Having foreseen the future through Observation Haki, Kairo didn't hesitate for a second.

He turned and ran straight into the cabin.

Green Rabbit didn't understand why the boss suddenly shouted "Run!" again, but he followed immediately.

Since bodies were no longer falling from the sky, he no longer needed to worry about the ship being smashed.

So he pushed the ship to maximum speed.

About ten seconds later—

A figure suddenly fell from the sky.

Straight into the ocean.

It was Garp, the Marine Vice Admiral Da Hong had punched away.

He hit the sea like a falling meteor, sending a massive column of water blasting into the air.

For an ordinary person, the impact alone would have torn their body apart.

But this was Garp.

Even though Da Hong had beaten him until he vomited enough blood to faint, his physical strength was far beyond that of ordinary humans.

After sinking for a short distance underwater—

Garp suddenly opened his eyes.

Realizing he was in the sea, he immediately began swimming upward.

When he broke the surface—

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

He erupted into violent coughing.

Blood poured from his mouth, staining the surrounding seawater red.

But Garp didn't even pay attention to his own injuries.

Because the moment he surfaced, he saw them.

Bodies.

Floating everywhere.

Most of them were Goa Kingdom soldiers—clearly the ones Da Hong had punched away before Garp even arrived.

Then Garp spotted something worse.

Among the floating corpses were the king of the Goa Kingdom, the princess, and many other members of the royal family.

Garp had once lived in Foosha Village, within Goa Kingdom territory.

Even after decades in the Marines, he still recognized the kingdom's royal family.

And the people floating in front of him now—

Represented nearly the entire ruling line of the Goa Kingdom.

Which meant his earlier guess had been correct.

The Goa Kingdom…

Was finished.

"Buru Buru…"

At that moment, the Den Den Mushi in Garp's coat suddenly began ringing.

He hadn't expected it to still work after everything that had happened.

Quickly pulling it out, he answered the call.

"Garp! What's going on in the Goa Kingdom?"

The voice on the other side belonged to Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

"I just received a report saying the Goa Kingdom was attacked! Was it the Revolutionary Army? Get there immediately. There's a Celestial Dragon inside the capital. Your mission is to ensure his safety!"

Garp didn't respond immediately.

Instead, he slowly looked around at the sea filled with floating corpses.

Then he spoke in a heavy voice.

"Sengoku… something huge just happened."

"The Goa Kingdom was attacked… but it wasn't the Revolutionary Army."

"It was the rabbit I told you about before."

"What do you mean?"

"The entire Goa Kingdom royal family—including the king—is floating around me in the sea right now."

Garp paused.

Then added quietly:

"And the Celestial Dragon who came to the Goa Kingdom…"

"Saint Charloss…"

"He's dead too."

On the other end of the Den Den Mushi—

Sengoku froze.

A Celestial Dragon…

Dead?

Killed by…

A rabbit?
