"Achoo..." Su Ye sneezed and rubbed his nose.
"Who's thinking about me?" Su Ye looked at Lilith and Ishtar behind him.
Lilith had a smile on her face: "Lord God Emperor, your humble servant is always thinking of you."
Ishtar curled her lip, showing some disdain for Lilith's vixen-like behavior; although she was also loyal to Su Ye, her personality was completely different from Lilith's.
Lilith was the type who was seductive to her very bones, while Ishtar had a more straightforward, warrior-like personality. Ishtar could never say the things Lilith blurted out so easily; at most, she would only think them in her heart.
Hearing Lilith's words, Su Ye looked at the serious-faced Ishtar and asked with a deliberate smile, "Ishtar, don't you miss me too?"
Lilith looked at Ishtar with a mischievous glint, playing along with Su Ye to tease her: "That's right, Lord God Emperor. It seems Ishtar doesn't miss you much at all."
Ishtar's face flushed with anger. She opened her cherry-pink lips to say something, but she was too embarrassed to speak.
"Alright, stop teasing Ishtar," Su Ye said with a laugh.
He was genuinely afraid that if they pushed Ishtar too far, she would draw the Primal Dark Blade and slash at Lilith.
"God Emperor..." Ishtar looked at Su Ye, her face flushed, her voice carrying a hint of grievance and urgency.
"Alright, I know. I was just teasing. Let's go," Su Ye said to Lilith and Ishtar.
Hearing Su Ye's words, Ishtar nodded heavily and then glared fiercely at Lilith. Lilith, unbothered, swayed her graceful figure over to Su Ye's side, provocatively hugging his arm while glancing back at Ishtar.
Ishtar watched Su Ye's arm sink into those'snowy mountains' and then looked at her own steel breastplate, wishing she could just slice Lilith apart.
Inside the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary.
Lilith and Ishtar stood behind Su Ye.
Five troop refresh recruitment cards appeared in Su Ye's hand.
[Ding: Do you wish to use the troop refresh recruitment cards?]
"Use them, recruit!" Su Ye's voice rang out.
Black-red light and pure black light rose up.
This repeated five times in total.
Lilith and Ishtar watched the Original Sin Fallen Angels and Pure-blood Fallen Angels appearing in the hall, their eyes flashing with intensity.
One hundred and fifty Fallen-type troops were recruited.
The only pity was that no new Hero Units were recruited. Of these one hundred and fifty Fallen-type troops, half were Original Sin Fallen Angels and the other half were Pure-blood Fallen Angels.
As for the Original Sin Fallen Angels, they were divided into seven series! These were the Seven Deadly Sins Original Sin Fallen Angels, but they were all under Lilith's command.
Unless one day a separate Hero Unit for one of these seven series was recruited, only then might that specific series become independent and form its own legion.
For example, the Pride - Fallen Angel Legion!
For now, the Original Sin Fallen Angels were not subdivided.
"We pay our respects to the God Emperor!!!" One hundred and fifty Original Sin Fallen Angels knelt on one knee before Su Ye.
The main hall of the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary was massive; its internal space was effectively its own dimension and did not count toward the territory's area. Therefore, let alone one hundred and fifty, it could accommodate fifteen hundred units.
"Rise. They will be your commanders from now on. Lilith, Ishtar, I'm leaving them to you," Su Ye said to the two.
Lilith and Ishtar nodded.
It was impossible for Su Ye to get to know every single Original Sin Fallen Angel and Pure-blood Fallen Angel, nor could he personally arrange what every individual should or shouldn't do.
These tasks needed to be handled by Lilith and Ishtar.
In any case, there would be plenty of opportunities within the territory.
As for why all five troop refresh recruitment cards were used on the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary instead of the Supreme Protocol, the reason was simple.
The Fallen Heaven Sanctuary could recruit ten more units.
Su Ye also mentioned this to Talys. Even though Talys wouldn't have complained even if he hadn't said anything, he felt he should say it to show he wasn't playing favorites.
At the very least, he wanted to be fair.
Ten more units meant ten more God-tier troops; it wasn't as simple as one plus one.
Currently, the troops under Su Ye's command were: 200 Fallen Angels and 20 Gene Forbidden Army!
In two days, having only 220 units could only be described as pitifully few. For a normal lord, their troop count would have exceeded five hundred by now.
And this was only because Su Ye had used five troop refresh recruitment cards; without them, he would only have 70 units.
His gold coins were also down to: 34,880.
"Too few. I need to get more troop refresh recruitment cards while the novice period is still active. Otherwise, once it's over, recruiting one unit for a million gold coins will be unbearable, truly unbearable," Su Ye looked at the two God-tier barracks, the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary and the Supreme Protocol.
Without the novice buff discount, Su Ye wouldn't be able to afford a single troop unit right now.
Money wasn't an issue for Su Ye; he could obtain a large amount of gold coins and origin crystals from the Void Trial every day, and this would only increase over time.
Tomorrow, Su Ye would know for sure if Lilith and the others could handle Bronze Rank creatures. It shouldn't be a problem; the main concerns were time and efficiency.
The rating chests were of utmost importance. Only with high rating chests could Su Ye obtain so many good items.
He couldn't blindly upgrade the rank of his lords heart just because Lilith and the others could handle the Bronze Rank. That wouldn't serve his interests, nor would it maximize the benefits of the daily Void Trial.
Passing the Void Trial and passing it with a perfect rating were two different concepts, and the resources obtained were worlds apart. Su Ye had to ensure he could achieve an SSS rating in the Void Trial every day; that was the key.
If Lilith and the others could pass but had to sacrifice the level of the rating chest to do so, Su Ye would rather take it slow and not rush the upgrade.
Void Trial rating chests only exist during the novice period. After that, they are gone. This was a one-time opportunity, and every day was extremely precious.
This was why some novice lords would take risks and choose high-difficulty Void Trials.
Ignoring the level of the rating chest to blindly upgrade the lords heart didn't make sense for Su Ye. Levels could be raised anytime, but the rating chests only lasted for the thirty days of the novice period.
This was why Su Ye was so cautious about upgrading the lords heart. He hesitated even when upgrading by one level each day, fearing both that Lilith and the others might lack the strength and that the final rating chest would be affected.
It was a multifaceted decision, not simply that Su Ye didn't want to upgrade. Given the current state, Su Ye could steadily obtain an SSS Void Trial rating chest every day—wasn't that great?
