"Welcome to the newest episode of our talk show! I heard we invited three special guests this time! Hmm? Where are the guests?"
Just as the host was getting confused, a faceless person tapped him on the shoulder.
"Waaahhhh!!!!"
"Hehehe!" x3
Accompanied by three eerie laughs, the Gengar trio appeared.
"How are they? Will those three do?" Ash, watching Gengar and the others perform from outside the recording studio, couldn't help but smile. The comedy master invited to stand beside him nodded with a smile and said, "Very good, they are indeed very talented. Moreover, compared to humans, as Pokémon, there's much more they can do."
Watching Haunter pull a bomb out of its mouth and blow Gengar and the host into a disheveled, soot-covered mess, the comedy master said helplessly, "I definitely didn't teach them that one."
After the broadcast ended, Ash walked back with Sabrina, who was laughing so hard she couldn't close her mouth. Gengar and the others happily returned to their Pokémon Tower; they had a lot of fun today.
"Ash, will Gengar and the others keep performing comedy from now on?" Sabrina, having just finished laughing, leaned on Ash's shoulder. Ash nodded and said, "That's right, you can watch them a lot in the future. And if you want to play with them, you can go to the Pokémon Tower. I'll take you and Misty there in a bit, and you'll see."
"Okay."
Afterwards, Ash returned to Sabrina's house, picked up Misty, and took the two girls to the Pokémon Tower, which was already undergoing renovations. Gengar and the other two gave them a warm welcome. Subsequently, the three of them and a bunch of Pokémon started playing in the small amusement park built inside the Pokémon Tower.
While they were playing, Ash pulled Gengar aside and said, "Gengar. Sabrina didn't really have much fun during her childhood. So, she might come over here to play quite often from now on. Could you help me look after her?"
"Gen? Gengar! Gengar!" Hearing that Sabrina would come over to play often, how could Gengar not be happy? In fact, someone with psychic powers like Sabrina was exactly the kind of person they loved.
Finally, Ash used Team Rocket's subspace teleportation tiles to specially create a device that allowed Sabrina and Gengar's group to travel back and forth to play. After that, he was finally ready to leave.
"Well then, we're leaving now. Remember to call me if anything comes up. Gengar, I'm leaving Sabrina in your care." In front of the Saffron Gym, Ash was bidding farewell to Sabrina and the others.
"Gengar! Gengar!" Gengar, Gastly, and Haunter smiled and nodded. Sabrina then hugged Ash tightly and said, "You too, Ash. Don't forget to keep in touch with me often. Otherwise, I'll turn you into a doll!"
"Understood, I definitely won't forget. Well then, I'm off."
After leaving Saffron City, Misty couldn't help but say, "I always get the feeling that Sabrina really loves to play."
"Yeah. Sabrina was constantly practicing her psychic powers since she was young, so she didn't have a good childhood, let alone any common sense. That's why she dared to rely on her psychic powers to run around everywhere, eventually wandering onto my turf and watching a show for free. And that's how my ill-fated connection with Sabrina began. Gary knows about it too..."
"So Sabrina and Ash have that kind of past?"
"Yeah. After all, everyone does silly things when they're young, right?"
Meanwhile, inside the Saffron Gym, Sabrina was showing Gengar and the others her most precious possession: a photograph.
And in this photograph, a young Sabrina was smiling while hugging an Abra, standing alongside a half-clown-masked Ash, a group of Pokémon with their faces painted in all sorts of colorful patterns, and Gary, who was strung up mid-air.
"This is my most precious memory... A little girl used her psychic teleportation to play everywhere, and finally discovered a secret base in the mountains behind Pallet Town. There was a boy dressed as a clown playing with Pokémon there. That's right, that was Ash."
"Gastly?"
"Gengar?"
Sabrina recalled that secret performance show. It was precisely that performance that taught her how to smile... and how she met Ash. To this day, she still remembered Ash's very first words.
"Suddenly I have an audience! But thank you for your laughter. Well then, I'm Ash. Want to play together?"
"I'm Sabrina. Are you willing to play with me?"
"Isn't that a given?"
Recalling these past memories, Sabrina smiled and carefully put the photograph away. And on her hand, a ring was already being worn.
