Gardevoir felt like recently had been the happiest days of her life. Did Ash finally change his mind? Not only was he acting extremely affectionate with her, but he also held her tightly in his arms when they slept together at night! The only regret was that the morning kiss plan was still failing, but at least Gardevoir felt her happiness index skyrocketing... If any blind fools dared to come ruin this right now...
Sorry, you're DEAD!
Anyway, under this bizarre atmosphere, Ash and his group continued their journey. Of course, everyone was still somewhat confused by Gardevoir's increasingly strange behavior.
As for Brock, although he was depressed for a while, he instantly revived to full health upon seeing a few pretty ladies. However, what Brock didn't know was that the moment he started frantically flirting with women again, Dragonite, Dragonair, and even the Dratini instantly slapped a giant red 'X' over his head in their minds!
Amidst this noisy atmosphere, Ash's group arrived at a massive bridge. Because this bridge only allowed bicycles, Ash and the others had to buy them on the spot.
"Boss, bring out the best bikes in your shop!"
When the shop owner saw Ash walking toward him holding a Gold Card, he knew that God had just walked through the door.
"Sir! What kind of model are you looking for? Rest assured, we can satisfy any of your needs!"
"Sturdy, durable, and I want it in black! Lara, Misty, Suzie, Brock, what kind do you guys want?"
"Hm, dark blue, and also durable." Lara thought for a moment before stating her preference.
Misty chimed in, "I want light blue."
"I'll take white," Suzie said.
"I would like a gray one!" Brock requested.
Finally, with the owner's help, Ash purchased five high-end, foldable bicycles and began their biking journey.
"Pidge!"
Pidgeot flew in the sky with Bulbasaur and Squirtle riding on its back. Ash had Psyduck strapped to his back, Pikachu and Meowth sitting on his shoulders, while Arcanine and Rapidash ran alongside him. Chansey was comfortably riding on Arcanine's back.
Lara had her Ponyta running alongside her as well. Misty let her Horsea chill in the bicycle basket, and Suzie's Vulpix lay on her shoulder, enjoying the breeze. The only one who didn't let any Pokémon out was Brock. He couldn't help it; his Geodude and Onix were too heavy.
"Phew, I wonder how that Shellder is doing..."
At a rest stop, as the group and their Pokémon rehydrated, Suzie suddenly remembered the sick Shellder Nurse Joy had mentioned earlier.
"Oh, don't worry about it. I already called the Continental Hotel and had them deliver the special sea salt to Joy. It's probably back to hopping around by now."
With just one glance at that sick Shellder, Ash knew its lethargy was caused by being unaccustomed to freshwater. He figured the local Pokémon Center was simply out of special sea salt, which was why it was tricky. After looking at the specific medicine Joy brought out, Ash confirmed it was indeed special sea salt. He immediately made a phone call and ordered the Continental Hotel staff to deliver a batch.
Hearing Ash's explanation, Lara nodded in understanding. "I guess I should say, as expected of a doctor? You solved an urgent problem just like that."
"No, it's not just because I'm a doctor. Another key point is that I'm rich."
Seeing the girls look at him speechlessly, Ash could only explain, "I'm not joking. It's precisely because I have money that I could get that special sea salt so easily. That stuff actually isn't very easy to get your hands on."
"Really?" Misty couldn't see how that tied into money.
Seeing Misty still struggling to understand, Ash patiently elaborated, "Sometimes, medicine can be incredibly expensive. For example, Bruno's Machamp is a prime example. Not only are the raw materials costly, but the manual preparation fees are even higher. The medicine I usually make for your Pokémon to use has an extremely high market value. In fact, it's the kind of stuff that's so rare it's basically priceless on the open market."
"Th-that exaggerated...?"
Hearing Ash's explanation, Misty suddenly realized she had been taking things for granted. It seems my boyfriend really is a massive big shot.
