The Hunter Captain
As the battle raged across the academy, a new figure stepped onto the battlefield.
Tall.
Armored.
Completely calm.
Seraphine's eyes widened slightly.
"The captain…"
The hunter captain studied Kael carefully.
"So this is the boy."
His mana pressure was enormous.
Even Kael felt the difference immediately.
"You're stronger than the others," Kael said.
The captain nodded.
"I'm the one who killed your father."
The words froze the battlefield.
Kael's eyes slowly filled with dark purple light.
The abyss within him responded instantly.
For the first time, Kael felt true rage.
"Then," he whispered quietly,
"You're my target."
