Battle of the Ruins
The battle against the guardian was far more difficult than any previous fight.
Fire spells barely damaged its armor.
Lightning attacks bounced off its stone body.
Leon attacked with his strongest flames, but the creature only staggered slightly.
Kael watched carefully.
"There's a core inside its chest," he said.
Leon nodded.
"Then we break it."
The guardian roared and charged forward.
Kael activated Abyss Domain.
Darkness spread across the battlefield.
Inside the domain, Kael's movements became faster.
Leon unleashed a massive blast of blue fire at the same moment.
Together they struck the guardian's chest.
The stone cracked.
The core shattered.
The giant monster collapsed with a thunderous crash.
