The Council's Decision
Later that day, Kael was summoned to the main hall.
All senior instructors were present.
Even the headmaster had arrived.
The atmosphere was tense.
Professor Valen spoke first.
"The creature that attacked the academy… it confirms something."
Kael stood silently.
Valen continued.
"A gate from another realm was forcibly opened."
Murmurs spread across the room.
"That means someone is trying to invade this world," another instructor added.
The headmaster stepped forward.
"And you, Kael… are connected to it."
Kael didn't deny it.
Seraphine spoke calmly.
"The Abyss is not just power. It is a bridge."
Silence followed.
Finally, the headmaster spoke again.
"We have made a decision."
Kael looked up.
"You will no longer remain as a normal student."
Valen nodded.
"From now on, you will be trained separately."
Kael's eyes narrowed slightly.
"So… I'm being isolated."
The headmaster shook his head.
"No."
"You're being prepared."
