Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Cosmic Awakening and the Pharaoh’s Oath

The sun hung like a dying ember over the Giza plateau, but its heat was nothing compared to the terror rising from the sands. Eiji and his team stood paralyzed for a heartbeat as the very foundations of history shifted. The Great Sphinx, the silent guardian of ages, was no longer stone. It had become a titan of nightmare, its limestone flesh pulsing with obsidian veins of dark energy. Its eyes, once hollow, now glowed with a hellish, rhythmic crimson light that seemed to bleed into the sky.

**Yukari** (Screaming through the comms, her voice trembling with the gravity of the situation): "Eiji! Don't let the adrenaline blind you! The temporal fabric here is paper-thin. If your power output crosses the 30% threshold, the butterfly effect will be catastrophic. Ancient Egypt won't just change it will cease to exist. Do NOT use the Full Flash Jump no matter what happens, or we'll trigger a dimensional collapse that swallows us all!"

**Eiji** (Feeling the agonizing bite of the limiter as it sears into his muscles, his jaw clenched in frustration): "Damn it! So I have to fight this god-like monstrosity with my hands tied? While the Blade Ghost sits inside Akira, using my own stolen potential to rip the world apart?"

The battle erupted with a roar that shook the very foundations of the pyramids. The Sphinx opened its massive maw, exhaling a beam of pure, blackened time-energy that turned the golden sand into jagged glass. **Eiji** (Sprinting through the heat, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird): "Move! Now!"

Thanks to Yukari's rapid-deploy kinetic shields, Aiko and Eiji found a narrow window to dash toward the beast's massive stone claws. While Aiko and Yukari began the perilous climb up the Sphinx's limestone flank, Eiji was left in the kill zone, dodging blows that could crush a building.

Suddenly, **Atsurai's** voice broke through the static from the distant HQ. **Atsurai** (Speaking in a desperate, urgent tone while her eyes dart across the flickering energy screens): "Eiji, look at its forehead! The weakness isn't the physical stone it's the hidden Third Eye. But it's encased in 'Pure Void' energy. A physical blade is useless. You need to tap into the 'Purification of Evil'!"

**Eiji** (Sliding under a massive stone limb, his lungs burning with every breath): "I don't know how! Atsurai isn't here to guide my flow! I have to find it myself!"

In that moment of near-despair, the mark on Eiji's chest began to throb with a gentle, rhythmic warmth. It wasn't the cold bite of technology, but something ancient. His grandmother Elara's voice whispered in the corridors of his mind: *"The shield is not just for defense, my boy... our souls are the frequency. Merge your heartbeat with the pulse of this land. Listen to the stone."*

Eiji exhaled, centering his soul. He diverted every scrap of allowed energy into the **Ancient Fever Shield**. The golden barrier didn't just expand; it began to hum with a sacred resonance. **Eiji** (Letting out a defiant cry that echoes across the desert): "PURIFICATION OF EVIL!"

A blinding white pulse erupted, burning away the obsidian rot. The titan stumbled, its roar turning into a pained mechanical screech. Eiji felt a sudden, profound connection to the Giza plateau. Merging the **Sandstorm Rhythm** with the ancient frequency of the earth, he leaped, soaring toward the monster's head.

**Eiji** (Focused and determined, his eyes glowing with a golden light): "RHYTHM OF THE COSMIC AWAKENING!"

The strike hit the Third Eye like a falling star. A golden shockwave shattered the Void shell, sending ripples through time. Inside the beast, a shadow shrieked the Blade Ghost was forced to retreat, fleeing Akira's body as the Sphinx reverted to its silent form.

As the dust settled, **Eiji** (Kneeling on the cooling sand, gasping for air while tears of relief well in his eyes): "We did it... we actually did it." Amidst the debris, he saw a flickering shard of light. He reached out, and as he touched it, it transformed into an ancient parchment. **Eiji** (His voice cracking with raw emotion): "It's... it's an encrypted message. It's my father's Rhythm. He's still in there, fighting. He's guiding us."

The transition from the battlefield to the palace was a blur of golden light. Soon, the team stood in the majestic throne hall of **Pharaoh Khafre**. The air smelled of frankincense. The Pharaoh looked down at them with profound respect.

**Khafre** (With overwhelming royal pride, his voice echoing with authority): "You have saved our divine guardian! In the name of the Eternal Rhythm that sustains the Nile, I grant you the highest honor of the Kingdom." He presented them with golden **Ankh amulets**. "These will protect your life force. But tell me, Warriors of the Rift, where does your path lead now?"

**Eiji** (Looking at the parchment, his gaze hardening with a new purpose): "The Blade Ghost is after the source of this era's stability. We have to stop him."

**Yukari** (Scanning the parchment with intense focus, her fingers dancing across her wrist-computer): "This isn't just a map. It's a key to a source of immortality. The next anomaly is at the heart of this dynasty's power."

**Khafre** (His expression turning grim and solemn): "The **Second Pyramid**... my own bridge to the afterlife. Beneath its foundations lie chambers that have never known the breath of man. It is a place where time flows differently."

The team spent the night preparing. **Aiko** (Placing a steadying, supportive hand on Eiji's shoulder): "We're going to find him, Eiji. This message proves he hasn't given up hope. We're in this together."

**Yukari** (Checking her sensors with a sharp, cautious look): "Be warned. The interior of the pyramid is a natural temporal labyrinth. If our Rhythms fall out of sync, we won't just get lost we'll be erased from the timeline entirely."

**Eiji** (Clenching his fist over the parchment, his eyes fixed on the dark silhouette of the pyramid): "Every trap we bypass, every code we break... it's one step closer to his soul. I'm not leaving this century without him."

With the Pharaoh's blessing, the trio vanished into the desert night, heading toward the heart of the stone maze, where their father's ghost and their greatest enemy awaited.
