Chapter 89 - Obito’s Three Tomoe

Infinite City — Ginza Building, Eighth Floor

Sunlight streamed through the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the newly rising center of power in a clear golden glow.

Before the broad black desk stood the three commanders of the Uchiha army—Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Yashiro, and Uchiha Tekka—each in standard battle posture.

All wore the Uchiha's signature armor.

Anlan stood by the window with his back to them, gazing toward the vast eastern lands beyond Infinite City—where forests and mountains stretched endlessly.

Against the light, his figure appeared tall and slender.

Yet it carried the stillness of a mountain.

"The intelligence has been confirmed."

"The Kirigakure army has split again."

"Fuguki Suikazan is leading eight hundred men. They have bypassed Infinite City and are advancing west at high speed. Their target—Koharu Utatane's inspection delegation."

"Jūzō Biwa is leading over seven hundred troops. He is retreating toward the coast, preparing to regroup with reinforcements."

Anlan turned.

His eyes were sharp.

"The opportunity is here."

"We cannot miss it."

The three men met his gaze without hesitation.

"Yashiro. Tekka."

"Yes, General!"

"I order you to lead the Volcano Army and the Wind Forest Army immediately."

"Your target—Jūzō Biwa."

"Maintain contact with Shisui's squad. They will guide your movements."

Anlan's voice sharpened.

"This will be your first battle."

"In strength and numbers, you surpass your enemy."

"So do not disappoint the clan."

"Leave no one alive."

"Yes, General!"

Battle intent flared in their eyes.

Then—

Anlan looked to Fugaku.

"Fugaku."

"Yes, General."

"You will lead the Red Armor Army."

"Your target…"

A faint, cruel smile appeared.

"Fuguki Suikazan… and Koharu Utatane."

"You understand what to do."

Fugaku's expression did not change.

"I do."

Anlan's voice turned cold.

"There is only one requirement."

"The Uchiha must not dirty their hands."

"Yes."

"The Red Armor Army will not fail."

"Move out."

Anlan turned back toward the city below.

"This battle is only the beginning."

"Soon, the entire ninja world will understand—"

"In the Land of Fire… in Konoha… in Infinite City…"

"Those who oppose the Uchiha…"

"…will only meet destruction."

"As you command!"

The three commanders departed swiftly.

The room fell silent.

The sunlight remained warm—

But now carried the chill of war.

Anlan looked toward the horizon.

"The real play… begins."

Eastern Land of Fire

At the border of forest and plains—

The setting sun painted the sky crimson.

Fuguki Suikazan's army moved like a dying beast.

Exhausted.

Broken.

Breathing heavily.

Wounds reopened with every step.

They had been captured.

Forced into brutal combat.

Escaped.

Then ran for hundreds of kilometers.

That they still stood—

Was nothing short of willpower.

Fuguki led from the front.

Like a wounded predator.

"Move!"

His voice was hoarse.

"Faster!"

"Do you want the Uchiha to catch you?!"

"Before sunset—we find that Konoha dog!"

"Kill Koharu Utatane!"

"Bring back her head!"

Only then—

"Will you deserve to live!"

Driven by his rage—

The army surged forward again.

Not far away—

A pair of Byakugan watched silently.

Then—

A signal.

Fuguki's pupils shrank.

He climbed a hill.

Crouched.

Watched.

Below—

A group of around thirty ninja rested.

Campfires flickered.

Konoha uniforms.

Organized formation.

And at the center—

High-ranking figures.

Fuguki grinned.

A savage, blood-stained grin.

"Found you…"

He raised his hand.

Behind him—

The Kirigakure ninja shifted instantly.

Like wolves.

Fatigue vanished.

Only killing intent remained.

"Prepare…"

"Leave none alive."

The moment they struck—

The battle was already decided.

The Konoha group was outnumbered.

And unprepared.

Water Release tore through their defenses.

Kunai and shuriken screamed through the air.

Blood splashed across the dying light.

Koharu Utatane attempted to break through under escort.

As a veteran jōnin, she held on—

Barely.

But—

Too many enemies.

"Damn it!"

"How are they here?!"

"What are the Uchiha doing?!"

Her thoughts ended—

When a monstrous water shark lunged at her.

"Water Release: Exploding Water Shock Wave!"

Kisame's voice cut through the chaos.

A violent torrent erupted.

Her arm—

Gone.

Half her shoulder—

Shattered.

Blood exploded outward.

She collapsed.

Then—

A shadow loomed.

Fuguki.

His hand grabbed her hair.

Lifted her like prey.

"Ahh—!"

Her body dangled.

All dignity—

Gone.

Only terror remained.

Fuguki laughed.

"Konoha's old dog…"

"…this is interest."

His hand tightened around her throat.

"Crack—"

Bone twisted.

Then—

It collapsed.

Not clean.

Not quick.

Her neck crushed grotesquely.

Blood sprayed.

Her head hung—

Barely attached.

Then—

Dropped.

Fuguki released her body.

It hit the ground.

Lifeless.

"Advisor-sama!"

The cry was swallowed by slaughter.

Konoha collapsed.

Completely.

Kakashi Hatake moved through the battlefield like a shadow.

His short blade cut down an enemy.

But—

He was exhausted.

Too many enemies.

Too little chakra.

Then—

A mistake.

A single delay.

A blade struck.

Clean.

Cold.

Silent.

His vision dimmed.

The world faded.

The last thing he saw—

Rin reaching for him.

And Obito—

His Sharingan spinning.

Then—

Darkness.

Kakashi fell.

Head and body—

Separate.

Blood soaked the ground.

"KAKASHI—!!!"

Obito's scream tore through the battlefield.

His mind shattered.

Grief.

Rage.

Fear.

Everything exploded.

"AAAAAAHHH—!"

Two tomoe stabilized.

Power surged—

Then—

"Obito… watch out!"

Rin stepped in front of him.

A water blade cut across her waist.

She fell.

"RIN—!!!"

Something snapped.

Completely.

His Sharingan—

Evolved.

Three tomoe.

His body moved.

Faster.

Sharper.

He caught her.

Held her.

Turned—

And saw—

Fuguki.

Standing there.

Holding Koharu's severed head.

Smiling.

Like a demon.

Around them—

Corpses.

Blood.

Mud.

The battlefield fell silent.

Only—

Obito's breathing.

Rin's weak voice.

And—

The killing intent of a monster.
