Chapter 2 - Chapter 3: Memories?

Ah, it's almost graduation day. I can feel the breeze of summer coming in, but damn—it's hot in the Philippines.

And seriously, why do we still need to wear these uniforms? It's not like we're in class anymore. The fabric sticks to my skin, makes me sweat like crazy.

The sweat's already dripping down my neck, and we're not even outside yet—we're stuck in this classroom. The fans barely work, half the chairs are wobbly, and the desks look like they've survived a war. Public school life, right?

You'd think the government would look into it, but no. They don't care. Corruption eats up the budget, and we're the ones left roasting in this oven they call a classroom.

The worst part? There's almost nothing to do. Classes are basically over, the lessons are done, and we're just waiting for graduation day in two weeks. Yet they still make us show up, sit in this oven of a classroom, and pretend we're busy. Half the time, everyone's just scrolling on their phones or doodling on broken desks. It feels pointless, like the school just wants us here to tick attendance boxes.

"Man, this is pointless," I muttered, leaning back on my half‑broken chair. "Two weeks before graduation and they still drag us here like we've got something left to learn."

Ren groaned from the desk behind me, tapping his phone. "Bro, I swear, I've already finished every mobile game I own. If they're gonna make us come, at least give us working fans."

Jessa fanned herself with a folder, her hair sticking to her forehead. "It's like they want us to suffer before we leave. Maybe it's their way of saying goodbye."

I smirked, shaking my head. "Goodbye? More like punishment. We're just wasting time until they finally let us walk out for good."

Ren suddenly shot up from his seat, eyes locked on his phone. "YES! Just one more push—I'm about to win this match!" His voice echoed across the classroom, louder than the broken fan rattling above us.

"Seriously, Ren," I said, raising an eyebrow. "You're grinding Legends Clash like it's the final exam."

He grinned without looking up. "Better than dying of boredom. At least here, I'm winning something."
