According to Sean's theory, the Magic vision likely possessed the ability to absorb the blood or magical energy of magical creatures, then later manifest those creatures as constructs of magic. Once the magical power ran out, the creature would disappear.
During dinner, Sean glanced over at the Gryffindor table.
The Weasley twins seemed to be finishing their meal and preparing to leave the Great Hall.
Sean immediately set down his fork, walked over quickly, and stopped them.
"Hey, you two troublemakers," he said. "Got time later?"
Fred leaned closer mysteriously.
"Yesterday we stole a few things from Professor Snape's storage room," he whispered. "George and I are planning to make a Belching Spray later."
"You won't report us, will you?" George asked suspiciously.
Sean shrugged. He was practically a veteran at borrowing things from Snape's storage room.
"I'm not interested in that."
"So what do you want?" George asked.
Sean leaned in closer and lowered his voice.
"I want to steal something from Professor Kettleburn's office."
The twins grinned instantly, wearing identical expressions that clearly said: Ah, so you're one of us.
"Professor Kettleburn teaches Care of Magical Creatures," Fred said. "We don't even take that class until third year."
"True," Sean replied. "But there's something in his office that I need."
"You want us to distract him?" George asked.
"Exactly."
"Kettleburn's office is also his bedroom. He stays in there all the time. I can't sneak in alone."
Earlier that afternoon, Sean had quietly checked outside Kettleburn's office.
To his surprise, the old professor actually slept inside the office itself.
It made no sense.
Surely Hogwarts provided professors with separate bedrooms.
But Kettleburn apparently preferred sleeping among his beloved "cute little creatures."
It made him incredibly happy.
"Don't worry," Fred said proudly.
"We recently invented something called a Stink Bomb."
"Throw one at someone and the smell is absolutely unbearable."
"It'll drive him right out."
Sean had never really interacted with Professor Kettleburn before.
He had only seen him occasionally in the corridors.
Unlike Hagrid, who raised massive beasts like Acromantulas, Kettleburn kept smaller magical creatures inside cages in his office.
Sean needed magical creature blood to test his theory about the Magic vision.
And Kettleburn's office was the perfect source.
The Forbidden Forest also contained countless magical creatures—
But Sean still wanted to live a few more years.
He had absolutely no intention of entering the forest alone.
Kettleburn's office sat around a corner on the second floor corridor.
Sean and the twins casually wandered over.
Dinner had just ended, and plenty of students were still moving around the halls.
Originally, Sean had planned to sneak in after curfew using the Marauder's Map to avoid Filch.
But after realizing the professor slept inside, Sean abandoned that idea immediately.
If he accidentally woke Kettleburn, everything would be ruined.
So instead, he chose to act before curfew, while students were still active.
Even if the twins caused a commotion, it would just look like another student prank.
"George, ready?" Fred asked.
"All set," George replied confidently.
Sean nodded.
Then he quietly pointed his wand at the office door.
"Alohomora."
As Sean pushed the door open, the twins raised two pitch-black objects in their hands and shouted dramatically:
"Stink Bomb—launch!"
Sean stared at them speechlessly as the twins immediately ran.
"You didn't have to shout that…"
Sean quickly followed them around the corner and hid nearby, watching the office door.
Soon, gray smoke began drifting out of the room.
Even from the corner, Sean could smell something like ancient, fermented socks.
"You two are geniuses," Sean muttered.
Fred grinned proudly.
"That's nothing."
"We're currently designing something called a Sun Staff."
"A Sun Staff?" Sean asked. "What's that?"
The name was too vague for him to guess.
George explained enthusiastically.
"It's a staff that stores sunlight."
"At night it glows!"
Sean blinked.
So… basically a solar-powered flashlight.
But he nodded seriously.
"Amazing. Brilliant invention."
"You two are going to revolutionize the wizarding world."
Just then—
The office door burst open.
Professor Kettleburn rushed out, pinching his nose.
"Who did this?!"
"WHO DID THIS?!"
He stomped angrily while looking around the corridor.
Students passing by hurried away quickly, terrified of being caught in the foul smell.
After a moment, Kettleburn ran off down the hall.
Sean immediately dashed to the office door.
Standing outside, he frowned.
"Damn."
"I forgot… I need to go in there too."
Holding his nose and holding his breath, Sean entered the office.
Inside, the magical creatures were suffering terribly from the toxic sock-like stench.
They rattled their cages desperately, trying to escape the horrifying smell.
Sean glanced at several cages.
"Dorset Flower Fairy… Devon Pixie… Serbian Thumb Lizard…"
All fairly common magical creatures.
Sean took out a syringe.
He planned to collect blood samples first.
He cast Immobulus on the mischievous Devon Pixie.
Then he opened the cage, grabbed the tiny creature with his left hand, and stabbed the syringe into its backside with his right.
"Clever boy!"
"Hurry up!"
"Kettleburn's coming back!"
Fred shouted from the corridor.
Five minutes later, Sean burst out of the office.
His eyes were watering like he had just finished crying.
The Weasley twins immediately stepped back several steps while pinching their noses.
Sean had been inside for five full minutes.
The smell had soaked into him completely.
Even his hair carried the rich fragrance of ancient foot odor.
"Scourgify!"
Sean cast a cleaning charm on his robes.
But it didn't seem to work very well.
George smirked proudly.
"We added lynx droppings to the stink bombs."
"Scourgify won't help much."
Sean now smelled like a walking garbage heap.
Actually, even garbage heaps might have smelled better.
"So?" the twins asked proudly.
"Pretty effective, right?"
"Yes. Very effective."
"Thank you very much."
Sean turned and ran straight toward the Slytherin common room.
In the common area, Chris noticed him and walked over, intending to talk.
But the moment she got close—
She stopped immediately.
"Sean… where did you go?"
"Why do you smell like that?"
Sean forced an awkward smile.
"I fell into a sewage pit."
Then he hurried back into his room.
