Aiden did not simply leap into the sky to find his destiny. Following his father's teaching, he knew that a journey only has meaning if you feel the dust of the road beneath your feet. He left the Himalayan valley at dawn, carrying only his father's old grey blade and a heart full of unspoken questions.
For three days, Aiden trekked through the "Forest of Forgotten Echoes," a place where the barrier between Earth and the higher realms was as thin as a spider's silk. He wasn't flying; he was walking, his boots crushing the dry leaves, his eyes scanning the ancient trees. He was hunting for a sign, a trace of the "Silver Pulse" he had felt at his mother's grave.
"The air is changing," Aiden whispered to himself.
The cold mountain breeze was being replaced by a strange, warm mist that smelled of jasmine and honey—scents that didn't belong in these rugged mountains. As he pushed through a thicket of white thorns, he saw the first sign that he wasn't alone.
The Trail of Light
Pinned to a branch was a piece of silk, so fine it looked like it was woven from moonlight. It didn't belong to any hunter or villager. As Aiden touched it, the silk dissolved into a shower of golden sparkles, and a faint, musical laughter echoed through the trees.
"Who's there?" Aiden called out, his hand instinctively gripping the hilt of his blade.
He didn't get an answer, but the forest itself seemed to respond. The trees began to lean away, clearing a path toward a hidden waterfall. As Aiden followed the trail, he saw small, glowing footsteps on the grass—footsteps that looked like they belonged to someone who didn't touch the ground with the weight of a mortal.
He followed the trail for hours, feeling a strange pull in his chest. It wasn't the heavy 'Porter's Weight,' but a light, soaring sensation. He felt as if someone was watching him, testing his resolve, leading him deeper into a world he had only heard of in his grandmother's bedtime stories.
The Guardian of the Bridge
As evening fell, Aiden reached a bridge made of living vines that spanned a bottomless chasm. Guarding the bridge was a creature made of blue fire—a Spirit of the Threshold.
"Only the one whose heart is destined for the Sky may pass," the Spirit roared, its flames flaring up.
Aiden didn't use his 1000x multiplier to crush the spirit. Instead, he stepped forward, the sweat on his brow glowing with that honest, human gold. "I am not here to fight the Sky. I am here to find what was promised to me."
The Spirit paused, sensing the purity of the sweat and the miracle within Aiden. It bowed its head and vanished into sparks, leaving the path clear.
The First Glimpse
Across the bridge, the forest opened up into a valley that looked like a piece of heaven had fallen to Earth. And there, sitting by the edge of a crystal-clear pond, was a woman.
She was brushing her long, golden hair, her back to him. Her wings were folded behind her like translucent fans. She wasn't a shadow or a memory; she was as real as the sun. Aiden stood frozen, the heavy blade feeling light in his hand.
He had spent his life among the dirt and the hard work of the fields, but as he looked at her, he felt the first spark of a romance that would change the universe. He didn't rush in. He watched as she turned around, her blue eyes meeting his violet ones for the very first time.
The "Pari" had been waiting for the "Porter's Son." And the hunt was finally over.
