"World Pillar? As I recall, you mentioned that's the special existence supporting a world, and your main body, the Ancient Spirit Tree, is Crescent Moon Land's World Pillar, isn't it?" The two of them were very close now, nearly every breath Luke drew like being immersed in nature itself, yet Celestine's explanation only left him more puzzled.

"Crescent Moon Land is, in the end, a dimensional plane transformed from the fragments of a shattered world. As time goes on, it will eventually face its day of ruin." Celestine concealed nothing. "Even with my main body serving as its pillar, it's merely a matter of time."

"Once a world begins to collapse, even if it luckily transforms into a dimensional plane, it still can't escape the fate of eventual destruction. The only difference is in the time it takes."

"Now that you put it that way, it does seem to be so." Luke abruptly recalled that back when Mark Whitman had explained things to them, he'd indeed mentioned the point about dimensional planes dissipating. It was just that Mark had only touched on it in passing at the time, so the thought hadn't occurred to Luke for a moment.

After all, the dissipation of a dimensional plane spanned timeframes measured in centuries at the very least, with stretches of a millennium or more being commonplace. It was even possible for a Card Master to drop dead before their dimensional plane dissipated, so the overwhelming majority of Card Masters naturally had no need to fret over such things.

"Once Crescent Moon Land enters its countdown to destruction, my main body will have no way of stopping it, and may even be destroyed together with Crescent Moon Land."

"Is there no way to resolve it?" Luke knit his brow. This genuinely was the first he'd heard of a secret like this.

"Unless one becomes the World Pillar of a new plane, or even a new world, only then can continuation be obtained." Celestine shook her head. "Otherwise, there is no other way at all."

"Normally, whether a plane or a world, the World Pillar is born in sync the very instant it forms. So becoming the World Pillar of a new plane or new world is, in theory, a near-zero possibility."

"But that near-zero possibility came to change because of your appearance." At this, the look in Celestine's eyes as she gazed at Luke turned all the more tender, tender enough to melt away most anything.

"Is it because of that World Seed from earlier?" A thought stirred, and Luke recalled that the source of all the mutation back then had been precisely his own absorption of the World Seed.

Celestine gave a nod. "The World Seed is the sole evidence left behind after a world's destruction, and within it is contained a sliver of World Source. That's also the reason the World Seed, after absorbing mana, can undergo its metamorphosis and ultimately grow into a dimensional space."

"If I'm not mistaken, the newly born dimensional space, because it isn't a dimensional plane or a new world, has no World Pillar born within it. And you made use of precisely that point." A thread of inspiration flashed through his mind, and Luke carried Celestine's words onward.

"Yes." Celestine nestled in a little closer. "With the aid of the Spirit-Value Aegis blessing, the instant the dimensional space took shape, I forged a source-bond with it, and ultimately became this dimensional space's World Pillar."

If one regarded the dimensional plane as a house, then the World Pillar was its roof beam, which made her effectively the occupant of the entire house's core. At this, a thread of unease rose on Celestine's face. "Luke, will you mind?"

Across the long ages, Celestine had observed a great many Card Masters within Crescent Moon Land through her main body, and that had let her accumulate a vast understanding of human nature. After Luke linked with her Spirit Core, that vast store of human nature came under Luke's influence, ultimately feeding back into her.

And because of that, though the two of them hadn't been acquainted long, Celestine's emotions had grown ever richer.

"Why would I mind?" Seeming to sense the thought in Celestine's mind, Luke couldn't help giving Celestine's cheek a pinch. The feel of it wasn't quite as soft and supple as Mana's, but it was wonderful all the same. "Did you forget? I said it back then. If you needed it, the World Seed was yours to take."

"At first, I figured the World Seed would just vanish like that. I never expected the result to be it growing into a dimensional space, and even getting elevated into a dimensional plane on account of having you as its World Pillar, breaking the original limit on growth. On that count, I actually came out ahead."

"And with you as the dimensional plane's World Pillar, it not only spares me no small amount of trouble, it sets my mind further at ease besides." Compared to a new World Pillar being born and feeling his way through it slowly on his own, having Celestine serve as the dimensional plane's World Pillar was, in Luke's view, an equally fine choice.

"Is that so?" Gazing at Luke, after a moment, Celestine revealed a radiant smile. "Luke, would you like to enter the dimensional plane and take a look now?"

"I can?" Luke raised an eyebrow. By Aldric's account, a dimensional space allowed card spirits to enter it, but he hadn't mentioned that the Card Master themselves could enter as well.

If the Card Master themselves could enter the dimensional space too, then Aldric ought to have touched on it, so Luke had instinctively assumed he had no way of entering it.

But hearing Celestine put it this way now, the situation seemed to differ considerably from what he'd thought.

"If it were merely a dimensional space, then the Card Master themselves indeed has no way of entering it." Celestine explained as evenly as ever. "But once it's elevated into a dimensional plane, with a World Pillar serving as the coordinate for entry, the Card Master can then enter."

As her voice fell, Celestine pressed her forehead to Luke's, a marvelous aura flowing between the two of them, and Luke's mind gained the coordinate brimming with that aura.

"In that case, there's no time to lose." Truth be told, Luke was rather curious himself as to what this dimensional plane he possessed would be like.

Reopening his eyes, Luke already knew how he ought to enter the dimensional plane.

As a thought turned, a profound, unfathomable aura dispersed outward from Luke, and then he, with Celestine held in his arms, vanished in an instant, the spacious house turning empty and bare once more.

"So this is the interior of the dimensional plane?" Before him was like a sheet of chaos. Apart from the World Pillar standing at the very core of the entire dimensional plane, looking just like the exterior of the Ancient Spirit Tree, there remained only a round sun hung high in the sky.

*「 Eternal Sun 」*

Description: A special product born after the special card Crystallization Technique fused with the aura of the World Pillar. Situated within the dimensional plane, the Eternal Sun will, at every moment, absorb the energy drifting through the void and convert it into mana, replenishing the dimensional plane's consumption. The Eternal Sun's efficiency in converting mana is affected by the host's level. The higher the level, the higher the conversion efficiency. The host may mobilize the mana the Eternal Sun converts and stores for use at any time.

"So this is what the Crystallization Technique and the mana crystals became after they vanished?" The information regarding the Eternal Sun passed before his eyes, and a thread of delight flashed in the depths of Luke's gaze.
