"Hey…" muttered Sayna.
"Move." A cold steady voice. He doesn't look at her in the eye. He stares straight through her as if she is transparent.
Sayna's heart shrank.
She hurriedly stepped aside giving him space to move. She went back to her sit and sat with her shocked face. "Ohhhhmyyyyyy freaking god. It was Tianxu right??? Am I dreaming???? Oh god!!!! But he was rude. Oh it's fine I'm a stranger anyway. Why would he'd be nice to me!… but he could told me to step aside politely. Maybe he thought I'm a sasaeng…..but still....."
She debated herself over and over. But she met him. He's one and only reason for coming to this city .
He sat two rows ahead of her, his back a rigid, unyielding line against the chair. Even from behind, he radiated a natural frost that seemed to claim the space around him as his private territory. While everyone else was whispering, he remained perfectly still—a statue of carved marble that didn't belong in a mundane room.
Sayna wanted to see him more. Last time it was so sudden that she didn't get a better look .
She held her breath, walking past the row where he sat. Two rows of distance felt like a mile when it came to a man like him. She dared a quick look, catching the cold, metallic glint of his watch and the terrifying stillness of his posture. He was leaning back, staring at the front with an expression so indifferent it bordered on cruel. Her skin prickled; it felt like walking past a sleeping predator that could snap its eyes open at any second.
"One more time," she whispered to her racing heart. She adjusted her bag and practiced she most casual walking pace. This was her third trip past his row in ten minutes. To anyone else, she was just looking for a seat, but to her every step was a pilgrimage. As she crossed his line of sight for the third time, she let her eyes drift toward him. He sat two rows up, a masterpiece of cold indifference. His hand supported his chin, his gaze fixed on something far away. He was so close she could see the faint shadow of his lashes, yet he remained as unreachable as a star.
*Plane landed*
The cabin door opened, and the rush of humid airport air hit her, but all she felt was a sudden, hollow chill. She slowed her steps on the jet bridge, letting the crowd surge past her as she scanned the sea of heads. Where was he? He had been sitting just two rows above me, a silent, icy statue for hours. But now, the seat was empty. She looked toward the terminal, my eyes searching for that familiar, sharp silhouette, but the "Cold Idol" had vanished into the crowd like a ghost. He didn't leave a trace—only the lingering memory of his freezing aura.

Sayna's POV-
An average looking Chinese guy, wearing a pair of thick glasses grey hoodie pairing up with a black skinny jeans was holding a paging board with my name. "Sayna Wahid"
I waved at him .
I went and greeted him with a warm smile.
The guy- "hello, Mr.Zhang sent me to pick you up and to show you your alloted apartment"
"I'm glad thank you for your help." I replied.
We grabbed a cab and departed to my new apartment.
The taxi sped away from Capital International Airport, weaving through the organized chaos of Beijing's Ring Roads. I pressed my forehead against the cool glass of the window, my breath fogging the pane. Outside, the city was a sprawling masterpiece of old and new—ancient grey rooftops peeking out from beneath the shadows of glass skyscrapers that pierced the haze. This was the city where he lived. Somewhere among these millions of lights, my "Cold Idol" was breathing the same air. The thought made the massive city feel a little smaller, and my new life a little more real.
We reached our destination and the guy opened the door and gave me a gesture for coming in.
The apartment was a white box, cold and silent until I flipped the light switch. I walked to the window and looked out at the Beijing skyline. The air was thick with the evening haze, blurring the edges of the distant mountains. Millions of windows flickered in the dark, each one a life I didn't know. Somewhere out there, among the high-rises and the luxury penthouses, was the "Cold Idol" from Row 4. I pressed my hand against the glass, the coldness of the city seeping into my skin. I was home, but I had never felt more like a stranger.
The guy- "so here's the key and my number . Call me whenever you need something."
I thanked him and he left.
After I unpacked half of my stuff I went to bed and dialed a phone number.
"Hello….mom...."
After talking to my mom I texted my bestie Simran.
"Hey guess whom I met?" I asked her excitedly.
"Ummm president of China!" She said jokingly .
"Oiiiiii noooo , I…..MET....TIANXU." I shouted through my screen.
"WHAAAAAATTTTTTT??!!!! It's been only a day and you've already met him. Tell me everything. Did he gave you an autograph?? A handshake?? A kisssssss!!!" She swamped my phone with texts.
"Yes yes a long kiss even we made out. Are you nuts ??…."
Then I explained everything to her.
"Aah it's normal for him to be a little cold. Since you ignored everything and groped his chest" she mocked.
"Noooo I didn't it was a mistake." I defended
"Okay okay listen my client is calling me I'll text you in the morning." Said Simran.
"Okay bye!"
Next day is a big day for me. I'm finally going to work tomorrow I just can't seem to fall asleep for all the excitement.
NEXT DAY..
The subway let me out at Guomao Station, and I was immediately swept up in a tide of charcoal suits and clicking heels. I stepped onto the pavement of the Central Business District, my neck aching as I looked up. The skyscrapers here didn't just touch the clouds; they pierced them.
I pushed through the heavy, frameless glass doors of the studio, and the chaotic roar of Beijing's Third Ring Road vanished instantly, replaced by a hum of high-end air conditioning and the rhythmic thump of low-fi lounge music. The lobby was a minimalist's dream—all polished white marble and soft, recessed ring lights that made everyone's skin look filtered.
I was directed toward the far end of the studio, where the "Management Suite" sat behind a wall of tinted, soundproof glass. It felt like walking toward a high-tech aquarium. Inside, my superiors were gathered around a sleek, white conference table strewn with mood boards and high-fashion magazines. To get to them, I had to walk past the senior artists, their eyes sharp as needles as they appraised the "new girl." Each step on the polished concrete felt like a heartbeat, echoing the tension of the room.
.
"Don't trip over your own feet, newbie!" A girl with a bright pink top white short skirt and a face full of glitter suddenly appeared at my side, grabbing my elbow before I could walk into a glass partition. This was Yue-Yue, a junior assistant who seemed to run on pure caffeine. She flashed a conspiratorial grin, leaning in to whisper, "You're heading toward the Creative Director's office. Just a heads-up: don't look her directly in the eye unless you want your soul crushed. Follow me, I'll show you where we hide the good coffee."
We went to a room full with makeup products and air smelled like rose water.
Yue-Yue - "Today a big celebrity is coming for an advertisement of a shampoo. He's really a big star so greet him when you guys meet and today we are going to do his makeup. Don't try to make a mistake . He's quite nice but still."
"Okay boss" I replied cheerfully and Yue-yue gave me a sweet smile.
We entered a personal green room of a celebrity.
He was sitting in front of me while he's back is facing me, but he might as well have been on another planet. His back was a broad, unyielding wall of deep emerald wool, the heavy fabric of his coat tailored so perfectly it made my own hands shake. He didn't turn; he didn't even acknowledge the shift in the air as I entered. He was slumped slightly in the vanity chair, his attention entirely consumed by the glow of the phone in his hand.
Yue yue approached him and said
"Good morning sir this our new intern from India , Sayna Wahid."
He turned his head to see me. And I moved my head to see this big mega celebrity.
My eyes popped out and my heart started beating like crazy.
"This is Mr. Tian Xunju, we are going to work with him." Yue Yue said
Tianxu- "Hello. Nice to meet you I'm Tian Xunju." He gave me a soft smile and he extended his hands towards me for a handshake.
I shaked his hand and greeted him back.
Yue-Yue- "sir I'll be right back , Sayna will accompany you."
Yue yue left the room . Leaving me alone with Tianxu.
I was still staring at the empty chair when a voice sliced through the air right behind my ear.
" What a creepy Stalker."....
