Chapter 43 – Prom Night 1.0
The mansion had never been this loud.
Music blasted through the speakers. Lights reflected across the marble floor. Laughter echoed through every hallway.
Tonight was prom night.
And somehow… the ten of them had turned the entire mansion into a mini war zone of excitement.
The Colors
Each pair had a color.
Not planned perfectly… but somehow it worked.
Alex & Lyra — Deep Blue
Kevin & Ash — Silver
Daisy & Joong — Red
And the two random pairs from the color draw:
Care & Cole — Purple
Nova & Ben — Orange
Everyone was dressed according to their colors.
And honestly?
They looked insane.
Lyra walked down the staircase first.
Her deep blue dress flowed softly around her legs, sparkling slightly under the chandelier light. Her hair was half tied, soft curls falling down her back.
Alex looked up.
And froze.
"Holy—"
Cole smirked.
"Language."
Alex ignored him.
"Lyra… you look…"
He stopped.
Because suddenly words felt too small.
Lyra tilted her head slightly.
"…Bad?"
Alex shook his head immediately.
"No. Dangerous."
Lyra laughed softly.
"Good."
Then Ash walked down.
Silver dress. Sharp eyes. Confident posture.
Kevin nearly choked on the water he was drinking.
Cole slapped his back.
"Bro breathe."
Kevin coughed.
"I'm breathing."
"You're staring."
Kevin didn't even deny it.
Daisy entered next with Joong behind her.
Red dress.
Joong simply held his chest dramatically.
"I think my heart stopped."
Daisy rolled her eyes.
"You say that every day."
"Yes but today it's medically accurate."
Then Nova came down.
Bright orange dress.
Ben blinked slowly.
"Okay… I was not prepared for this level."
Nova smirked.
"What level?"
Ben nodded seriously.
"Heart attack level."
Finally…
Care appeared.
Purple dress.
Simple.
Elegant.
Dangerously beautiful.
Cole looked up.
And completely forgot how breathing works.
For about five seconds.
Joong noticed.
"Oh this man is DONE."
Cole immediately stood up.
"I'm fine."
Ben laughed.
"No you're not."
Care walked toward them calmly.
"Ready?"
Cole nodded quickly.
"Yeah."
Then paused.
"…You look really nice."
Care smiled slightly.
"Thanks."
Arrival at Prom
The prom hall was massive.
Lights hung from the ceiling.
Music filled the air.
Students everywhere.
The group walked in together.
Immediately turning heads.
Joong whispered dramatically:
"We are the main characters."
Daisy elbowed him.
"You are not."
"I am emotionally."
At first everything was normal.
They laughed.
They danced.
They took pictures.

The First Dance Switch
A random group of boys approached.
One of them walked toward Lyra politely.
"Can I have this dance?"
Alex's smile froze.
Lyra looked at Alex.
Then back at the boy.
"…Okay."
Alex choked internally.

She left with the boy.
Joong immediately leaned toward Alex.
"Oh he's dying."
Alex clenched his jaw.
"I'm fine."
Cole smirked.
"No you're not."
Then another boy approached Ash.
"Dance?"
Kevin watched.
Ash looked back at Kevin.
Kevin nodded slowly.
"…Go."
Ash went.
Kevin stared.
Ben leaned beside him.
"You regret that decision already."
Kevin whispered through his teeth.
"…Yes."
Daisy was next.
Joong tried to act cool.
But when she walked away with another guy he dramatically fell back onto the chair.
"I've been betrayed."
Nova went dancing with someone too.
Ben sighed.
"This is emotional torture."
Then the worst one.
A tall guy approached Care.
"Would you like to dance?"
Cole froze.
Care thought for a moment.
Then nodded.
"Sure."
Cole's soul left his body.
Boys Losing Their Minds
All five girls were dancing.
With other boys.
Alex stared at Lyra spinning across the dance floor.
Kevin stared at Ash laughing.
Joong stared at Daisy.
Ben stared at Nova.
Cole stared at Care.
Silence.
Then Joong spoke.
"I hate this."
Ben nodded.
"Same."
Alex rubbed his forehead.
"This was a mistake."
Cole muttered.
"…Huge mistake."
Then it got worse.
The boys started spinning them.
Laughing with them.
Holding their hands.
Cole suddenly stood up.
"Okay no."
Alex immediately stood too.
"No."
Kevin stood.
"No."
Ben stood.
"No."
Joong jumped up.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT."
The Take Back
They walked across the dance floor.
Five very jealous men.
Lyra noticed Alex first.
She smiled slightly.
"Hi."
Alex took her hand gently but firmly.
"Dance with me."
The other guy backed away immediately.
Kevin walked straight to Ash.
"Excuse me."
Ash raised an eyebrow.
"Possessive much?"
Kevin shrugged.
"Yes."
Ash laughed but let him pull her closer.
Joong dramatically took Daisy away.
"My heart cannot handle this emotional pain."
Daisy laughed.
"You're insane."
"Yes but I'm your insane."
Ben took Nova's hand.
"You're not allowed to flirt with random people."
Nova smirked.
"I wasn't flirting."
"You were smiling."
"That's flirting?"
"For me yes."
Then Cole walked to Care.
The guy she was dancing with stepped away quickly.
Cole didn't say anything at first.
Just took her hand.
Care raised an eyebrow.
"Problem?"
Cole sighed.
"…Yes."
Care smiled slightly.
"What?"
Cole leaned closer.
"I didn't like that."
Care looked amused.
"You didn't like me dancing?"
"With him."
Care tilted her head.
"Jealous?"
Cole paused.
Then answered honestly.
"…Yes."
Care's smile softened.
Late Night Chaos
After hours of dancing…
They left the prom hall.
But no one wanted the night to end.
So Joong announced:
"Hotel."
Everyone looked at him.
"What?"
"We continue the party."
Ben nodded.
"I support this idea."
They ended up in a luxury hotel suite.
Music.
Drinks.
Laughter.

Alcohol.
Not a lot.
But enough.
Joong immediately became ten times louder.
"FRIENDSHIP."
Alex laughed.
"You're drunk."
"No I'm emotionally expressive."
Kevin leaned back on the couch beside Ash.
"You okay?"
Ash nodded.
"Yeah."
Kevin smiled.
"Good."
Lyra sat beside Alex quietly.
Their hands brushed.
Neither moved away.
Cole sat across from Care.
Watching her laugh with Nova.
And he had a strange feeling in his chest.
Something he didn't fully understand yet.

"This group is chaos."
