CHAPTER 105 — Epilogue
Morning sunlight slowly spilled through the enormous windows of the mansion hall.
For the first time in days… the house was quiet.
The birthday celebration of Care had ended late in the night. Decorations were still hanging slightly crooked, ribbons draped over chairs, empty glasses left on tables.
Most of the group was still half asleep.
And then—
THUD.
Lyra collapsed.
"LYRA!" Ella shouted instantly.
Within seconds chaos exploded in the hall.
Freya rushed forward first, catching Lyra before her head hit the floor.
"Hey—hey—Lyra! Open your eyes!"
Endrix grabbed a pillow and slid it under her head.
Percy nearly tripped over a chair rushing forward.
"What happened?!"
Honey gasped, kneeling beside Lyra.
Across the room, Nova suddenly covered her mouth and ran toward the nearest washroom.
"Nova?!" Ben shouted.
Then the sound came—
She was vomiting.
Now the panic doubled.
Two emergencies. Same room.
"Okay nobody panic," Cole said firmly, already moving.
His doctor mode switched on instantly.
"Freya, lift her legs slightly."
Freya nodded.
"Got it."
Care was already beside Nova, holding her hair gently while Nova leaned over the sink.
"You pushed yourself too much yesterday, didn't you?" Care said softly.
Nova wiped her mouth weakly.
"I'm fine… I just didn't sleep…"
Care raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. Your body clearly disagrees."
Back in the hall, Lyra slowly stirred.
Alex crouched beside her.
"Lyra? Can you hear me?"
Lyra blinked slowly.
"I… I'm okay…"
JJ crossed her arms immediately.
"You fainted in the middle of the room. That is not 'okay'."
Endrix smirked.
"You scared the hell out of us."
Lyra looked embarrassed.
"I'm sorry… I didn't mean to—"
Cole appeared beside them.
"Stop apologizing."
He gently checked her pulse.
Then he looked up.
And smiled.
"Well… congratulations."
Everyone blinked.
"…What?" Percy said.
Cole looked at Lyra.
"You're pregnant."
Silence.
Then the room exploded.
"WHAT?!"
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
"OH MY GOD—"
Ella literally screamed and hugged Lyra.
"YOU'RE HAVING A BABY?!"
Alex looked like his brain had stopped working.
"Wait… wait… I'm… I'm going to be a father??"
Freya clapped excitedly.
"OH MY GOD THIS IS HAPPENING."
Honey squealed.
"BABY IN THE GROUP!"
Lyra looked completely overwhelmed.
"I didn't even know…"
Alex suddenly hugged her tightly.
"You scared me."
Lyra laughed weakly.
"Sorry…"
Meanwhile Nova came back from the washroom.
Ben rushed over.
"You okay?"
Nova nodded tiredly.
"Just exhaustion."
Cole checked her quickly.
"Yeah. No pregnancy there."
Percy dramatically clutched his chest.
"Thank god. One chaos at a time."
Nova rolled her eyes.
"Shut up."
Care stood quietly beside Cole watching the madness.
The entire group was laughing, hugging Lyra, teasing Alex.
Care smiled softly.
Cole leaned slightly closer to her.
"This house is never quiet."
Care smirked.
"Good."
But then—
Kiefer suddenly spoke.
His voice calm.
"Everyone sit."
The tone immediately changed.
Something serious.
The group slowly gathered around.
JJ noticed first.
Kiefer's expression was different.
Heavy.
"What happened?" she asked quietly.
Kiefer held a small tablet in his hand.
The one recovered from the old trunk.
"It finally opened this morning."
Everyone looked confused.
He took a breath.
Then said quietly—
"The data inside… was about my family."
He looked at Lyra.
Then Nova.
And spoke the words slowly.
"Lyra… Nova… you two are my step-sisters."
The room went completely silent.
Nova blinked.
"…What?"
Lyra frowned.
"That's not funny."
Kiefer shook his head.
"It's true."
He placed the tablet on the table.
"My mother married your father before she died."
Everyone stared in shock.
Alex whispered,
"So you're saying…"
Kiefer nodded.
"Yes."
His voice softer now.
"We are family."
Lyra's eyes slowly filled with tears.
"You knew…?"
"Only recently."
Nova looked stunned.
"So all this time…"
Kiefer nodded slightly.
"I didn't want to say anything until I was sure."
JJ gently squeezed his hand.
The silence felt heavy.
Then suddenly—
Nova walked forward.
And punched his shoulder.
"YOU IDIOT."
Everyone jumped.
"You kept this secret?!"
Kiefer looked genuinely surprised.
"I thought you'd be angry."
Nova hugged him suddenly.
"Of course I'm angry."
Then she whispered,
"But… I'm also happy."
Lyra walked forward too.
Tears rolling down her face.
"You're our brother…"
Kiefer nodded.
"Yes."
Lyra hugged him tightly.
The entire group watched the moment quietly.
A family forming right in front of them.
Percy wiped his eyes dramatically.
"I'm not crying."
Honey laughed.
"You absolutely are."
Freya hugged Endrix.
Ella leaned against Alex.
Care looked at Cole.
Cole looked back.
Neither of them said anything.
But the smile they shared said everything.
The sun climbed higher outside.
Light filled the mansion.
The group sat together in the hall.
Talking.
Laughing.
Arguing again.
But closer than ever.
No secrets left.
No distance.
Just family.
Kiefer looked around the room.
At all of them.
Friends.
Brothers.
Sisters.
And he said quietly,
"From today… this mansion isn't just a house."
Everyone looked at him.
He smiled.
"It's home."
Care raised her glass.
"To family."
Everyone followed.
