I was sitting on the ground in the garage, there was a baseball bat in my hand. And on my right was a hammer while on my left hand were some nails.
I placed the bat on the ground and took a nail between my index finger and thumb.
"Now, let's try this."
I placed the nail against the wooden surface of the bat and brought the hammer down.
The nail penetrated the wood with a satisfying thud.
I did it again.

Soon, I had a neat line of nails embedded in the bat.

Then I picked up the hammer again, and got to work.

I worked methodically, nailing the bat together with precise, controlled strikes.
After a few minutes, the task was complete.
I held up the bat, admiring my work.
The nails were evenly spaced, half of their length buried in the wood.
The bat was sturdy, and the grip was comfortable.
It was perfect.
I smiled, and began my work.
"Let's make it strong enough to break their bones."
