Chapter 165 - Last Day II

SF Chapter 165: Last Day II

"Wow, Dani, I think this one was even better than the other two I heard," Amanda remarked. "Where did you get all the inspiration?"

Lexi just kept staring at her wine glass when she heard the question.

"Eh, I don't know," Dani shrugged. "I get these sparks of inspiration sometimes."

Hilary, who looked a bit thoughtful, asked, "Are you going to release it?"

"My opinion is that it would do great on the radio. This, and the first one you sang today, sound very commercially friendly," she added.

"Wow," Mischa muttered. She also thought it was pretty good, but hearing a professional singer praise it was different.

"Yes, I will," Dani revealed. "But I promised I would wait for Prudence to come back before releasing any song."

Prudence ran her hand over him and gave him an affectionate kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Dani!"

"For what?" he tilted his head. "You'll be back in March. That's like a month and a half."

"Besides, I'm in no rush to release any songs. I like singing, but I'm a writer!"

"The best profession on earth!" Dani declared, gesturing with both hands for emphasis. "I can do it whenever I want, wherever I want. No fixed working hours."

"Better yet, I can write whatever I want! Sometimes I feel like writing Percy Jackson or Wimpy Kid. Sometimes I have an idea for a screenplay. And now... songs too."

"Dani," Lexi called his attention. "Didn't you release both books today?"

"Oh, right. Percy Jackson was today!" Hilary recalled reading about the release - she was a fan of the book.

"Ahh," he let out a small yell. "I almost forgot." He went to grab a laptop from his suitcase.

"No, you totally forgot," Lexi muttered, amused.

Dani quickly opened it and checked the publisher's messages.

"Yes!" He struck a victory pose. "One million for Wimpy Kid... and half a million for Percy Jackson!"

"It's all good, congratulations, Dani," Prudence said, but squeezing his cheeks with both hands.

"But focus. Music. Now." She kissed his lips. "Pleeease, it's my last day in California," she added coyly.

"Fine! I'm so happy that I even have an idea for a song now," Dani said with his lips puckered, since she was still squeezing his cheeks.

"Nice!" she beamed. "Sing it, sing it," Prudence encouraged him.

He sat down, looked at the girls, and started to sing.

♫♪Greetings, loved ones

Let's take a journey

I know a place

Where the grass is really greener

Warm, wet and wild

There must be something in the water ♫♪

♫♪Sippin' wine and juice

Layin' underneath the palm trees

The boy break his neck

Tryin' a little sneak peek (at you) ♫♪

♫♪You could travel the world

But nothing comes close to the golden coast

Once you party with us

You'll be fallin' in love

Oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh ♫♪

Mischa, Prudence, and Amanda had already started swaying their bodies to the rhythm of the music.

♫♪California girls, you're unforgettable

Daisy Dukes, bikinis on top

Sun-kissed skin, so hot

You'll melt my popsicle

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh oh

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh ♫♪

Hilary was the only one who reacted a bit shyly to the clearly suggestive lyrics.

Dani continued singing, pointing at the girls.

♫♪California girls, you're undeniable

Fine, fresh, fierce, you got it on lock

West Coast represent

Now put your hands up

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh oh

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh ♫♪

After he finished, Amanda smiled. "I think it's pretty good. But there's a problem."

She made a mischievous face. "I'm from Allentown, Pennsylvania."

"New York," Lexi added.

Hilary chimed in as well, "Houston, Texas."

Mischa continued, "London."

"Yikes. Not even from the States. Poor girl..." he winced at her, receiving a kick from under the table.

"I was born in Los Angeles," Prudence concluded, this time actually from the state.

"Finally!" he turned to her. "See? That's why Prudence is the sexiest here. You girls are all amazinly gorgeous, but Prudence has that extra California sex appeal."

"But I spent most of my life in Seattle, Washington - and the past two years in Switzerland," Prudence added casually.

"Doesn't matter! You're a California girl!" he dismissed her point. "Okay, who's next?"

"You can keep going, Dani," Amanda said. "Now I'm curious how the others would sound."

Seeing that the rest nodded in agreement.

"Fine, let's go with 'That's What I Like,' Prudence," he said, and she handled the instrumental.

Of course, Prudence had already made him sing to her every song he made.

♫♪I got a condo in Manhattan

Baby girl, what's happening?

You and your ass invited

So go on and get to clapping ♫♪

♫♪ So pop it for a player

Pop, pop it for me

Turn around and drop it for a player

Drop, drop it for me ♫♪

♫♪...

Sex by the fire at night

Silk sheets and diamonds all white

Lucky for you, that's what I like

.... ♫♪

And he seamlessly followed it up with another song, "Locked Out of Heaven."

♫♪...

Never had much faith in love or miracles (oh)

Never wanna put my heart on the line (oh)

But swimming in your water is something spiritual (oh)

I'm born again every time you spend the night (oh)

'Cause your sex takes me to paradise

Yeah, your sex takes me to paradise

And it shows, yeah, yeah, yeah

... ♫♪

After he finished singing the third song, the mood had already shifted.

"Yeah, I think I know where you got all these ideas, Dani," Amanda said wryly, though she was also a little affected.

"It wasn't about me..." Prudence corrected her pouting. Then she grabbed a CD and put it on. "But this one was!"

"Just lip-sync, Dani," she said.

And the recorded song, "Animals," started to play.

Dani and Prudence began lip-syncing together and dancing.

When it finally ended, Amanda stood up. "This was... very good. Very sensual. And disturbing."

"But I think I should get going," she gestured toward the door. "I can almost see the pheromones in the air," she deadpanned.

"Me too," Hilary hurried to follow.

Lexi nudged Mischa.

"Oh yeah, I'm out of here too." The two of them left.

Dani and Prudence, who looked like two predators eyeing each other, suddenly crashed into a heated kiss.

A short while later, another side door opened (not the one the girls had left through).

Dani and Prudence, who had been all over each other, paused at the sound and looked over. They quickly pulled apart.

He moved toward the girl who had just come in.

"Why did you take so long?" Dani said after grabbing Lexi and pulling her into an intense kiss.

"It was only a few minutes," Lexi rolled her eyes. She kissed him again.

Mischa also appeared from the same direction Lexi had come from. "I thought there might be another new girl here," she said dryly, looking around.

"Wouldn't be a bad idea," he smirked.

"Ha-ha," she made a face, but soon pulled his head in for a kiss as soon as Lexi stopped. "You were really hot singing today," she confessed.

Prudence, who had gone to check that everything was locked, joined the trio.

"Everything's secure," she said. "Now we can start the second part of Dani's birthday - and my farewell."

"My birthday's already over," Dani remarked. "Let's make it about Prudence. She's been smug since she got here."

"Yeah," Mischa agreed.

Lexi just kept looking at the girl.

What followed was the quartet coming together again, with Prudence at the center.

-------‐-----------‐-----------‐-----------‐-----------‐---------

"I'm going to miss you three," Prudence whined. She was on top of Dani after everything they had done.

"Correction. You five." She groped Lexi's breasts.

Lexi just stared at her flatly.

"What do you eat, Lexi?" Mischa asked, a little envious.

"Yours are very beautiful too, Mischa - don't worry," Dani said, squeezing her breast in encouragement.

""I'm not," she muttered, but let him play with them.

Lexi changed the subject. "So, are you recording your songs, Dani?"

"Yes, it was supposed to be my trump card against you, Lexi. But Prudence ended up revealing it."

"Trump card?"

"You can trick me once, but you can't fool me all the time. I know you secretly recorded me," he smirked.

Lexi turned to the other side. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going to sleep."

"She's such a tsundere," Prudence said, making the three of them laugh.
