Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 is beautiful, isn't it?

Tony was a bit speechless, wanting to say something.

"You…"

He had only uttered one word, but the rest of his sentence wouldn't come out.

Leon didn't care what he was thinking; after finishing everything, he clapped his hands and nodded in satisfaction.

"Hmm, that looks much better now."

He walked past the petrified Tony to the bar and poured himself another glass of whiskey.

Then, he raised his glass and flashed a brilliant smile at everyone on the balcony.

"OK, come on."

"Now."

"The party can officially begin."

...Party?

To hell with the party!

This was Tony's only thought.

What could he say? He just wanted Leon to be stumped.

Of course, he could only think about it.

He suppressed the sharp pain in his chest and the humiliation in his heart, moving to sit on the sofa by the balcony.

He needed rest, and time to process everything that had happened today.

Thor wasn't in much better shape.

Although he wasn't like Tony, Leon's series of actions just now had put pressure on him.

He looked ahead; Leon still seemed to have everything under control.

So, the spark that had just ignited in Thor's heart was ruthlessly extinguished.

He walked to the other side of the bar, picked up a bottle of whiskey, poured himself a full glass, and downed it in one go.

The burning liquor couldn't dispel the frustration in his heart.

The atmosphere on site fell silent once more.

Jane, Darcy, and Erik stood frozen, unsure whether to leave or stay, feeling like three passersby who had stumbled into a fight between immortals.

"Uh…"

Ultimately, Darcy couldn't help but speak, though she didn't know why it always seemed to be her who spoke first.

She glanced at Leon, Tony, and Thor, then tentatively asked, "Um, is there anything to eat here? Like chicken wraps?"

This question broke the silence.

Tony's eye twitched violently.

Thor's drinking motion also paused.

Jane and Erik looked as if they wished they could die.

Oh my God, Darcy!

What on Earth are you thinking?!

Can't you see the atmosphere is very wrong right now?!

However, to everyone's surprise, Leon actually considered the question seriously after hearing it.

Then, he snapped his fingers.

"Jarvis."

"Yes, Mr. Leon."

"Prepare some food. Hmm, let's have Mexico chicken wraps, with extra cheese and chili. And some pizza, fried chicken, and iced cola. Oh, and for Dr. Foster and Professor Selvig, prepare some coffee and dessert."

"Alright, Mr. Leon. Food will be delivered within ten minutes."

After doing all this, Leon smiled at a surprised Darcy.

"Anything else you need, Miss Lois?"

"Wow! There really is!" Darcy's eyes instantly lit up.

"I also want a super-sized strawberry milkshake! Double cream!"

"No problem." Leon snapped his fingers again.

"Jarvis, did you hear that?"

"It has been arranged for you, madam."

Everyone:...What, what kind of divine development is this?!

Tony leaned back on the sofa, rolling his eyes dramatically.

At a time like this, Leon was actually in the mood to seriously discuss Mexico chicken wraps and strawberry milkshakes with someone else?

Of course, the most important thing was that he was using his, Tony Stark's, smart butler to place the order?

Tony suddenly felt as if his painstakingly built mansion had been broken into by Bandits.

The Bandits not only occupied his bed but also used his phone to order takeout.

He covered his face.

Forget it, just let it be destroyed, quickly.

He was tired... Ten minutes later.

Steaming hot food and drinks appeared on the balcony, and by now the atmosphere here had changed somewhat.

Darcy cheered and quickly grabbed a chicken wrap, devouring it with gusto.

The aroma of the food filled the air, diffusing the tense atmosphere from before.

Jane and Erik, after a moment of hesitation, also picked up their coffee.

Thor looked at the colorful food, his brow furrowed.

Clearly, he also wanted to eat, but he couldn't bring himself to, so he just poured himself a glass of whiskey.

When Tony smelled the familiar aroma of a cheeseburger, his stomach grumbled uncooperatively.

He then remembered that he hadn't eaten anything since this morning.

Meetings, fighting, and being abused.

Even a body of Iron couldn't withstand so much torment.

Finally, driven by the instinct for survival, he picked up a burger and started to eat it.

Leon looked at the harmonious scene before him and nodded in satisfaction.

See, there's no conflict that a chicken wrap can't solve.

If there is, just add another one.

He walked to the balcony railing with his glass, overlooking the bustling city that never slept below.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

He spoke softly, as if to himself, yet also as if addressing the people behind him.

No one answered him.

Leon didn't mind; he continued to speak to himself.

"I've seen many Planets, many civilizations. Some are grander than Earth, some are more advanced than Earth. But few places have the vitality and chaos like here."

"Every life strives and struggles for its desires. They create, they destroy, they are small, yet they yearn for greatness. Just like the fireflies on Earth."

His tone suddenly became somewhat world-weary.

"And what I most like to watch is the futile attempt of fireflies to shake the night."

He turned around, his golden eyes fixed on Tony, who was gnawing on a pizza.

"Mr. Stark, you are the brightest firefly in this forest. Of course, in terms of intelligence."

Wait, wait?

What did he hear?

Leon's calm words made Tony, who had just swallowed his food, freeze.

A firefly?

He, Tony Stark, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, Iron Man.

He could be said to be the most dazzling man on this Planet.

Yet, in this guy's mouth, he had become a mere firefly?

And the brightest one at that?

F*ck! What the hell was this supposed to be?

A compliment?!

Tony felt his Sun temples throbbing, suppressed anger rushing to his head.

He almost slammed the plate in his hand directly onto Leon's excessively handsome face.

But he held back.

Because he knew the consequences of doing so might not be as simple as just repairing his armor.

He clutched the pizza in his hand tightly, appearing indifferent on the surface.

He took a deep breath and casually looked at Leon.

However, Leon didn't seem to notice his gaze at all.

He leaned against the railing, holding his glass, looking at everyone with indifferent eyes.

Thor was downing whiskey glass after glass.

He didn't care what his brother did; he just wanted to numb himself, even if the alcohol had little effect on him.

But after hearing Leon's firefly theory, his drinking motion paused.

Although he wasn't like Tony, able to analyze so many deep meanings from a few simple sentences.

But he did understand one thing.

Leon didn't put these mortals of Midgard in his eyes at all.

No, not just mortals.

He, Thor Odinson, Thor of Asgard, probably wasn't much different from these fireflies in Leon's eyes.

Except one was a firefly flying in the sky, and the other was a slightly stronger firefly crawling on the ground.

Essentially, they were all insects.
