To a Qi Cultivator, healing damaged meridians is a painstaking process. It requires absolute precision; a single oversight could leave behind hidden vulnerabilities that would cripple future breakthroughs. Because of this, many Daoist priests are also masters of the medical arts.
However, an anomaly like Qiuxia was different. With the Eye of Life aiding his recovery, he didn't have to worry about such trifles. He only needed to wait for the meridians to finish knitting themselves back together, perform a quick check, and then he could begin a Great Orbit.
In his current state, Qiuxia had no way to track the outside world. He had no idea how much time had slipped away by the time his Mangekyo Sharingan finished repairing the last microscopic tear. Once his self-inspection was complete, he began circulating Dharma Power through his meridians.
As the energy flowed, his body's ability to digest Spiritual Qi strengthened. The damage caused by the violent influx of energy during his initial practice began to recede. With every Great Orbit he completed, the strain on his body lessened. By the ninth cycle, the pain had vanished entirely. Even so, he pushed through one more orbit before finally bringing his cultivation to a halt.
As he stopped, he felt a strange, stiff layer covering his skin. He used his Dharma Power to shatter the invisible shackles binding him and looked down to see that he was encased in a cocoon of dried blood. Qiuxia quickly tore the shell away, grabbed a change of clean clothes, and headed for the washroom.
Once he had scrubbed himself clean and tidied the room, he sat down to review his data.

"Has it already been five days? Time really flies," he muttered. "Strange. My cultivation has reached the peak of the Human Master realm, so why hasn't it broken through? Is it because I haven't obtained a soul cultivation method?
That seems likely. I'll have to ask Shifu back at the mortuary once these thirty days are up. For now, I might as well put a point into the Guyi Heart Method and the Maoshan Qi Refining Art. Having them sit right at the threshold is an eyesore."
Qiuxia's cultivation had hit a ceiling, but the ordeal had brought both his Maoshan Qi Refining Art and Guyi Heart Method to perfect mastery. Furthermore, the process seemed to have activated his Wood Release.
He wasn't surprised to find Senju blood in his veins. During the era of the First Hokage, many Senju clansmen had followed orders to hide their identities and blend into Konoha.
Although many of these hidden survivors were later sent to their deaths on front lines or used as experimental subjects by the Third Hokage and his peers, some with weaker bloodlines had managed to survive. Thus, Qiuxia having Senju ancestry wasn't that shocking.
Some might wonder why he wasn't more excited about Wood Release. After all, this was the power that could manifest the Veritable Thousand-Armed Kan'on and the Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands.
It was undeniably magnificent. But no matter how "cool" it looked, Chakra was a dead end unless you were an alien like the Ōtsutsuki Clan; it offered no path to longevity. Cultivation was different it was a true path to immortality.
To Qiuxia, the activation of Wood Release was merely another tool in his arsenal. It wasn't anything miraculous. Practice remained his priority.
The moment he added a point of Origin to the Guyi Heart Method, the circulation speed of his Dharma Power jumped several levels, and his god-body strength surged. Information flooded his mind new cultivation techniques and methods to refine the art. Qiuxia began to study the Guyi Heart Method with newfound intensity.
The Guyi Heart Method had been created by the Maoshan Sect during the Dharma Ending Age to help priests increase their Dharma Power. Since the Spiritual Qi available at dawn wasn't enough to sustain rapid growth,
the method was developed to use dietary supplements to strengthen the body, converting the energy from food into Spiritual Qi, which could then be refined into Dharma Power.
This particular trait of turning food into energy reminded Qiuxia of the "Thief of the Sage" technique from the world of the Outcasts. However, while the Thief of the Sage focused solely on the Six Bowels, Qiuxia's revised version utilized all the Five Viscera and Six Bowels. Using the entire internal system as a central hub, he could amplify Spiritual Qi and further temper his god-body.
Once the modification was complete, the Guyi Heart Method vanished from his status panel, replaced by a new technique: *Thief of the Sage.*
Encouraged by the results, Qiuxia turned his attention to the Maoshan Qi Refining Art. However, luck wasn't on his side this time. While his comprehension of the art deepened significantly, no transformative inspiration followed.
Since he lacked the cultivation manual for an Earth Master, Li Qiuxia spent his time practicing his other skills. At night, he focused on the Thief of the Sage, devouring Spiritual Qi to strengthen his divine physique.
Half a month passed in a blur. Li Qiuxia was in his courtyard as usual, practicing talisman strokes on a sand table. Suddenly, a figure vaulted over the wall and landed in the yard. Qiuxia's eyes flashed with a cold light for a brief second before he masked his presence once more.
The youth who had jumped over the wall felt a sudden, chilling sense of danger as he landed. The feeling was gone as quickly as it had come, leaving him wondering if it had been a hallucination. But his senses had been forged on the battlefield; he knew better. He looked around, but the only person in the yard was Qiuxia, who seemed entirely absorbed in his sand table.
Despite knowing he was being watched, Qiuxia ignored the intruder. He drew talisman after talisman, erasing them and starting over, meticulously refining his technique and correcting flaws.
Seeing that he was being snubbed, the youth cleared his throat loudly to announce his presence. Qiuxia set down his bamboo stylus and spared the man a glance. "What is it?"
"Hey, someone just jumped into your yard," the youth said, taken aback by the boy's poise. "Aren't you a bit too calm? What if I were a criminal?"
Qiuxia gave him a frosty look. "If the Uchiha Clan allowed an outsider to wander into the heart of their compound, we would be beyond saving. Even the Anbu are watched by a dozen Sharingan the moment they step foot in our territory. You, on the other hand, are a different story."
The youth fell silent for a moment. "True. Outsiders can't get in. The Uchiha have become completely decoupled from Konoha."
"It's more accurate to say that Tobirama Senju started the isolation," Qiuxia replied. "The Second Hokage never forgot the hatred between the Senju and Uchiha from before the village was founded. He wanted nothing more than to see the Uchiha destroyed. He couldn't do it alone and wouldn't have been allowed to even if he could so he got creative. He quarantined us instead."
"Why would you say that?" The youth froze, looking at Qiuxia in shock.
"Why?" Qiuxia didn't answer immediately. Instead, he asked, "Cousin, as a ninja, surely you've served in the Police Force? Or at least seen them in action?"
The youth nodded.
Qiuxia continued, "The Konoha Military Police Force manages the order of the entire village. On the surface, it looks like a position of great power. In reality, it was designed to sever the Uchiha from the village's foundation. It makes everyone,
from the lowest civilian to the other clans, despise the Police Force. Whenever someone makes a mistake, the Police Force is the one that has to play the villain. We are the target of everyone's resentment."
"When Tobirama Senju handed the Konoha Military Police Force to the Uchiha, it wasn't out of trust. It was an act of malice. It's just a shame the fools in our clan leadership couldn't see through it."
Qiuxia's words plunged the youth into deep thought. Panic began to creep across his face. "No, that can't be right. The Second wouldn't... he even had an Uchiha disciple!"
