After obtaining the ninjutsu manual from Qiuxia, Uncle Jiu began practicing the arts while simultaneously working on a way to decipher the Scroll of Seals. To save time, Uncle Jiu specifically utilized the Shadow Clone Jutsu, allowing him to cultivate and decipher at the same time without one hindering the other.
Under Uncle Jiu's dedicated efforts, it took half a month to finally break the seal on the scroll. When he handed the opened scroll back to Qiuxia, Uncle Jiu took a few curious glances, only to be completely dumbfounded by the Japanese script. He couldn't recognize a single character.
With the scroll unsealed, Qiuxia's daily routine changed once again. He released several shadow clones to transcribe the ninjutsu, translating them into the script of the Republic of China. His true self, meanwhile, focused on practicing the legendary techniques within the Scroll of Seals.
This included Wood Release, the Flying Raijin Technique created by the Second Hokage, and even the broken, bug-like jutsu known as Impure World Reincarnation. Qiuxia recorded them all, though he currently had no way to perform the latter in this world.
The Scroll of Seals contained nearly every ninjutsu from the Hidden Leaf. While the secret arts of certain clans were incomplete, they were still present. Beyond those, the scroll even contained some of the Uzumaki Clan's sealing arts, such as their signature Adamantine Sealing Chains.
Relying on his large number of shadow clones, it took Qiuxia only three days to master the techniques within the scroll. As for the mental shock from the memories returning once the clones were released, it had some effect on him, but it wasn't significant. It wasn't even enough to make him faint.
After all, Qiuxia's mental strength was already formidable, and he had been practicing a Visualization Method. While the feedback from so many clones was uncomfortable, it remained well within his range of endurance.
To put Uncle Jiu's mind at ease, even though Qiuxia could have begun tempering his Three Souls on the second day of practicing the Visualization Method, he chose not to. Instead, he continued to polish his Seven Po. As for the Three Souls, he decided to wait until he returned to the Naruto world. A few days wouldn't make a difference, and refining his Seven Po would still increase his cultivation.
After using the Visualization Method to refine his Seven Po, Qiuxia's Dharma Power became even more pure. It wasn't just a matter of quality; the quantity had also seen a significant increase.
Furthermore, the Visualization Method drew down the power of the stars. His Sage's Theft ability swallowed this stellar energy, greatly strengthening Qiuxia's divine body, particularly his internal organs.
Thus, even though he remained at the Seven Po realm without breaking through to the Three Souls, Qiuxia's strength continued to grow steadily. Under the pressure of his own disciple's progress,
Uncle Jiu did more than just teach Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai; he turned into a total grind-master. Every day, he used shadow clones to learn ninjutsu and practice Daoist arts. At night, when his mind was weary, he practiced the Visualization Method.
By grinding this hard, Uncle Jiu not only learned a vast array of ninjutsu but also became much more proficient in Daoist magic. Even his recently reached rank of eighth-tier Earth Master took a major step forward once his foundation had been consolidated.
One morning after breakfast, Qiuxia was preparing to go to the outdoor training ground he had built to practice his Daoist arts when he saw someone approaching to ask for Uncle Jiu's help.
The seeker was from Wang Family Village, a village under the jurisdiction of Ren Family Town. The reason they sought Uncle Jiu was that several people had died in their village recently. At first, they thought it was just a series of accidents,
but after several days of continuous deaths, they suspected it wasn't an accident at all, but rather something "unclean." Everyone was terrified that they would be the next to die, so after consulting with the Village Chief, they had come to Uncle Jiu for help.
After listening to the situation described by the villagers, Uncle Jiu looked at his disciples. "Qiu Sheng, pack the gear. Wen Cai, Qiuxia, you stay and watch the house..."
Before Uncle Jiu could finish, Qiuxia interjected, "Master, let me go with you this time to take a look. My strength is decent now, and it's time I started getting some actual combat experience."
Hearing this, Uncle Jiu thought for a moment and felt that Qiuxia had a point. No matter how high one's cultivation was, if their practical combat ability was a mess, they would still be useless when it mattered.
The real reason Qiuxia wanted to join Uncle Jiu was simple: he wanted to test the new things he had been researching. During this period, his strength had increased tremendously, and he had developed several new tools and techniques.

After mastering all the basic talismans and achieving a comprehensive understanding, Qiuxia had spent Origin Points to upgrade them. Based on the concept of Talisman Manifestation in his mind, he had modified his skills into that very technique.
As for the Maoshan Tool Refining Art, Qiuxia had used a massive amount of wood summoned through Wood Release to craft disposable Dharma artifacts. Once he maxed out the experience points for that,
he modded it into the Art of the Divine Machine. Additionally, he used his knowledge of Feng Shui and the Eight Trigrams of his eyes to develop Feng Hou Qi Men. Although it overlapped slightly with his Dojutsu, Feng Hou Qi Men could be used without activating his Eternal Mangekyo.
Moreover, the version of Feng Hou Qi Men he developed could be further enhanced when using the Eight Trigrams ability of his Eternal Mangekyo. Thus, developing it had not been a waste of effort.
Among these developed skills, Talisman Manifestation and the Art of the Divine Machine had cost the least, requiring only one Origin Point each. Feng Hou Qi Men, however, was time-consuming due to the complexities of Feng Shui and divination,
so Qiuxia had spent Origin Points to push it to completion before his natural progress finished. As for the Deity Invitation Technique, Qiuxia hadn't practiced it at all, so it had cost the most Origin Points to acquire.
After helping Qiu Sheng pack the gear, the group set off for Wang Family Village. Since it was daytime, they didn't need to rush. They traveled the five miles or so in about half an hour.
Upon seeing Uncle Jiu's arrival, the Village Chief of Wang Family Village immediately rushed forward. "Uncle Jiu, you have to help us! Our village must have provoked some Evil Spirit. In just a few days, several of our villagers have died."
"Take me to see the deceased first!" Uncle Jiu said with a serious expression.
"We didn't dare bury them immediately, so they've all been placed in the village Mortuary."
Wang Family Village was considered wealthy among the villages surrounding Ren Family Town. The roads were neatly paved with bricks, and several grocery stores of various sizes lined the streets.
Under the Village Chief's guidance, the group arrived at the Mortuary. When the doors were opened, a wave of cadaverous stench wafted out. Everyone except Uncle Jiu and Qiuxia instinctively covered their noses. As for the two of them, one was used to it, and the other had caught the scent early and held his breath.
"These are the ones who died recently."
Hearing this, Uncle Jiu pulled back the white sheets covering the corpses and began his observation. The faces of the dead were hideous and contorted; their eyes were wide and bulging,
as if they were about to pop out of their sockets. Their expressions were full of terror, looking as though they had seen something horrifying right before they died.
As Uncle Jiu lifted the sheets, Qiuxia noticed a faint, dark grey energy clinging to the bodies. Because the Village Chief and the villagers were still around, Qiuxia didn't ask Uncle Jiu about it immediately. He suspected his answer would come from Uncle Jiu's own words after the inspection.
Once the inspection was complete, Uncle Jiu turned his gaze toward the Village Chief and the following villagers. "These people all have Yin Qi on them. It is indeed the work of an Evil Spirit. It's the middle of the day, so we cannot confirm the entity's location. Everyone should disperse for now. Gather near the Mortuary toward evening; I will draw the Evil Spirit out then."
Uncle Jiu's reputation in the area was very high. Hearing his words, despite their fear, the villagers returned to their homes to rest. They hadn't slept well for days due to their anxiety. As for Uncle Jiu and the others, Uncle Jiu and Qiuxia went to find a place to cultivate until evening, while Qiu Sheng decided to take a proper walk around Wang Family Village.
