Night fell quickly. Sasuke Uchiha stealthily infiltrated the Uchiha district. Using the power of his Eternal Mangekyo and Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, he reviewed the history of Konoha and the Uchiha over the last several years.
When he learned the truth of this world, he was stunned. "What is going on? Itachi, Shisui, and the three elders all died early? Obito was taken out by a self-destruct? And the Land of Demons... what kind of madness is this?"
Sasuke had only one thought: had the Otsutsuki treasure, the Karasuki turtle, sent them to the wrong place? He wanted to activate it and go back, but the artifact was out of power and needed time to recharge. Furthermore, was Urashiki Otsutsuki also in this world?
The Uchiha Clan in this world, aside from the early deaths of Shisui and Itachi, was perfect. The Sasuke of this world was happyfar happier than his older selfraised with the love of his parents.
As his investigation continued, Sasuke found that not only was he happy, but Naruto was as well. He didn't live in a tiny apartment but a large house, and he wasn't shunned by the villagers. He could eat whatever he wanted.
During this time, Sasuke and Boruto watched Naruto from the shadows until they were discovered by Jiraiya. Sasuke didn't hide anything from the legendary sage; he told him they were from the future and explained the changes in this world, including the threat of Urashiki Otsutsuki.
Sasuke didn't explicitly reveal Boruto's identity, but Jiraiya was a shrewd man. One look at Boruto's face and those whiskers, and he easily made the connection.
While Sasuke, Boruto, and Jiraiya were protecting Naruto, Qiu Xia was patrolling the outskirts of Konoha, hunting for Urashiki's trail. After waiting for over a week, Urashiki finally appeared.
"Damn monkeys, actually making me travel through time. I followed them using my Dōjutsu. First, locate the fox and harvest its chakra."
Suddenly, a voice rang out from right beside him. "I don't think you should stop at the Nine-Tails. You should collect all the Tailed Beasts. Think of how much more chakra you'd get."
"Makes sense!" Urashiki nodded instinctively. Then he realized someone was there. He whipped his head around, but before he could even register the person's face, a blinding pain struck his eyes as his eyeballs were gouged out.
"Argh! You filthy monkey! How dare you sneak attack me! I'll kill you!" Urashiki reached for his fishing rod and his chakra storage jar, only to find his hands grasping thin air.
"Do you think I'm an idiot? Give you a chance to counter? I knew all about you, Urashiki. You like turning people into pills, right? Fine. Today, I'll turn you into pills instead."
Sensing his life was in danger, Urashiki tried to flee, only to find his body paralyzed. A searing, agonizing heat began to consume him.
Had Qiu Xia fought Urashiki head-on, the Otsutsuki might have lost, but not that quickly. But Qiu Xia was a sneaky bastard. He had lurked in hiding, waited for the perfect moment of distraction, and ripped out his eyes.
Even though Urashiki's eyes could jump through time, he had to activate the ability. Without eyes, there was no activation. Qiu Xia had even stolen his weapons and his "emergency" power-up pills. Urashiki had no cards left to play.
Severely weakened and sealed, the unlucky Urashiki didn't even get the chance to use his Karma. He was refined by Qiu Xia's Stellar Flames into nine golden pills.
"These nine pills... if given to ninjas, they could probably create nine Kage-level experts. If used by someone already at the peak of Kage-level, they might even reach Transcendent Kage rank. After administering the pills, Qiu Xia hid in a sub-dimension to observe. Shortly after, Naruto and Boruto's chakra began to surge violently. The excruciating pain jolted them awake.
"It hurts! What's happening? Why does it hurt so much!"
"I don't know! Is Urashiki here? Is he attacking us?"
The exploding chakra caused wounds to tear open all over their bodies. Naruto was relatively okay because the Nine-Tails' chakra immediately began repairing his tissues. Boruto, however, was in dire straits. He could only watch in despair as the damage to his body increaseduntil a memory was triggered.
In Boruto's mind, the ninjutsu and martial arts Qiu Xia had left him began to surface. One technique stood out: the Hundred-Fold Iron Shirt, a martial art designed to temper the physical body through extreme refinement.
Finding this lifesaver, Boruto desperately began circulating the "Hundred-Fold Iron Shirt" technique. Under the crisis of death, a current of internal Qi was born within his body. As his body sustained damage, this Qi surged, rapidly healing his wounds. Though it was slower than the Nine-Tails' regeneration, it was enough to keep him alive.
The sudden surge of chakra naturally drew the attention of the village. Jiraiya, Sasuke, and the Hokage's Anbu all rushed toward the bedroom.
"What happened? Was it Urashiki?" Like Boruto, Sasuke assumed it was an Otsutsuki attack. But after activating his Eternal Mangekyo and Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, he saw the skyrocketing chakra levels and realized his guess was wrong. Urashiki wouldn't be handing out free power-ups.
Seeing the boys' condition, Jiraiya prepared to use a Sealing Jutsu to suppress their chakra. But then, an anomaly occurred. Tiny sprouts began to push through the floorboards around Naruto, growing at an impossible speed. At the same time, Naruto's eyes snapped open. They were blood-red, and black tomoe began to spin within them.
"The Sharingan?!" Naruto didn't have Uchiha blood. How could he awaken the Sharingan? Jiraiya and Sasuke stared in sheer horror, their eyes nearly popping out of their heads.
